About Hal Hollister

I was born and spent my early years in the Midwest. My family moved to Southern California when I was in the eighth grade. I became a Christian in high school but really did not understand God or try to walk with Him. God gave me the ability to excel in basketball and I earned a scholarship to a small Christian college.

After graduation, I took a job with a Fortune 500 company and rapidly moved into management. I married Jan, a gift from God and my high school sweetheart. We have been married for over 45 years and have lived in several large cities including four years in New York City.

I spent most of my career in the field of marketing. I am a creative guy and a good communicator.

I abandoned my life to Jesus in 1980 and have been walking with God for over 45 years. I have been in the presence of God once which was the most terrifying experience in my life. I hear the voice of God nearly every moment of my life and have been called to be an intercessor and to teach the Word of God.

In 1986, God guided me into a ministry of evangelism on the central coast of California. I spent three years working for God in this ministry.

Jan and I live in the beautiful city of Santa Barbara, California. We have one daughter and two awesome grandsons.

I have an undergraduate degree from California State Fullerton University and studied at Fuller Theological Seminary for a year.

I am a man with a heart for God!
