When you can’t connect the dots!

I am a God who lives above your understanding!

God works in mysterious ways. There will be times when you feel confusion and bewilderment. You can’t find direction and nothing makes sense. What is God up to?

Religion tells you God never creates confusion. It comes from Satan. You can take this counsel with a grain of salt.

Many times God uses confusion to accomplish His purposes. The Bible is full of examples of people living in confusion and bewilderment.

The Tower of Babel illustrates this truth with the words of God; “Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”

God created confusion in the minds of the enemies of Israel. “But the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day against the Philistines and confused them, so that they were routed before Israel.”

King David expressed his confusion and despair with the words “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

Think about the reaction from the three women visiting the empty tomb of Jesus, “Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.”

Paul was blinded by God and lived in darkness for several days. “Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun.”

Spiritual confusion is a tool of God. I have personally been through this many times in my life when nothing makes sense. I have learned to wait on God, don’t try to figure it out, and avoid making any rash decisions. The light will come to me!

God limits your vision for His purposes. The correct response is to pray and listen for the still, small voice of God. Be patient and rest in God.

Trust God and walk by faith with the understanding God calls things that don’t exist as if they did. You may sense confusion but your perfect God is at work to give you more than you think or ask.

Thought for the day:

“My ways are not your ways. Trust Me for who I am and live in My Word. My eyes see everything about you and I know you better than you know yourself. My wisdom will come to when you most need it. What you cannot see today will be explained to you in My perfect timing.”
