“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:5
Sometimes I think you and I try to get to much into the mind of God trying to figure out how He functions in life and what He wants from you.
You will never be able to fully comprehend God and His ways. He lives in heaven and is a spiritual being. He thinks and acts differently than you and is always miles ahead of you in your journey through life.
To keep it simple, God wants your wholehearted devotion and loyalty to Him. And He wants you to trust Him for your every need in life. As you “let go” He will draw nearer to you and you will see His glory and greatness.

As I was walking today, God reminded me that an excellent way to determine if your life is spiritually in balance is to look at how you allocate your time. If you are spending an inordinate amount of time on any one activity or passion you are probably out of His will. This action can easily become an idol and lead you into the consequences of sin.
Remember, without faith you cannot please God. So you have to live out your faith trusting God in all the ups and downs of life. He wants you to be a doer of His Word and walk in His footsteps.
God has a different set of values than you. He sees life as an eternal journey and physical death is not really a deterrent in His mind. And God does not function on a clock. Time is inconsequential to Him! So you have to be patient and wait upon God.
You can find God in prayer, through His Word, and by living in oneness with the Holy Spirit who dwells in you. God will speak to you, give you wisdom, and explain His ways through His Spirit. The Spirit’s purpose is to take what belongs to Jesus and declare it to you.
Pray for unwavering faith in the promises of God. If you lack faith ask Jesus to share His faith with you. This is the same faith that gave Him the courage and stamina to die on a cross for you.
Thought for the day:

“Delight yourself in the Lord and I will do for you what you can never do for yourself.”
