Duplicity in the Body of Christ?

“The only way you can become like minded with the Son of God is through My Spirit. He will declare to you who I am and teach you My ways.”

Do to others as you would have them do to you.” Luke 6:31

The word from God today is to check your motives. Are they self serving or reflective of the purposes of Christ?

The definition of duplicity is acting with deceit. This characteristic is rampant in our society and specifically in the Body of Christ. It is imbedded deep in your heart and soul and can only be exposed by the work of the Holy Spirit.

Duplicity is camouflaged in religion by laws and works. They are justified as pleasing God but in reality are miles apart from the heart of God.

God knows you better than you know yourself. You see a glimpse of your inner self but God sees the whole picture.

The starting point each day is to commit your works to God and ask Him to fill you with His thoughts.

Pray to the Holy Spirit to search your heart and reveal any unclean motives.

Ask the Holy Spirit during the day if you are acting to please God or yourself? Are you doing to others (in your words and actions) as you would want them to do to you?

You and I are human beings and we live estranged from the heart of Christ. We cannot think or act like Christ and are only saved by the leniency of Christ.

Christ is forgiving but you have to come to Him with an open heart and a willingness to change. We are in the troubles of today because we have repeatedly violated this precept of God.

He lives so you can live!
