“My goodness is nothing apart from you.” Psalm 16:2
This truth in Psalm 16 is the starting point to a vibrant and embracing relationship with Christ.

It is a deep recognition of the essence of man and the character of God. You see yourself for who you are and understand all goodness in you comes from the Lord.
Regardless of your academic degrees, successes, natural talents, or wealth you are an empty soul void of the goodness of God.
How do you get to this life changing point with God? It is impossible for you to see the depth of your personality and moral fiber. Only God can see all within you!
You have to come to God with an open heart and genuine desire to know Him. This is all that is required of you. God will do the rest. He will show you His values and your motives are miles apart from each other.
Walking with Christ is painful. You see the reality of who you are and realize you can never come close to the standards of Christ. God has no ego but you and I are self driven people.
At this point of acceptance, Jesus can do great things for you. He simply says, “Come to Me by faith and I will make you into a new creature reflecting My character.”
You cannot find the goodness of God through works, laws, or religion. There is nothing you can do except believe in the promises of God and be obedient to His voice.
The fallacy in believers is thinking you have the power to change yourself or your works will bring merit from God. This is demeaning to God and will get you nowhere.
The life of God comes directly to you through the Spirit of Christ by your faith. There is no other way!
