How to get right with Christ!

He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it” 1 Thessalonians 5:24

The word from God today is “I am a faithful God. I died so you can have an abundant and prosperous life. Come live with Me by faith.”

The starting point in this narrative is to understand the definition of what it means to “get right with Christ”. You can never match up to the standards of God or even come close. God is holy and without sin. You and I are born into sin and this quality will never leave us.

You and I stand estranged from God and can only be restored to Him through Christ Jesus. God knows you are an imperfect human being and is willing to accept you through His Son.

He begins the transformation of making you into a new creature in Christ Jesus while you are alive and perfects this work in Heaven.

The secret to getting right with Christ is trusting in His promises. Walk by faith and judge God by His words and never by the conditions in your life.

Don’t live by what you see with your eyes; live by the unseen promises of God. See life through the eyes of God.

There is no variation or shadow of turning in Christ. This is your salvation. Christ keeps His promises.

The cornerstone to a relationship with God is built on the premise of faith. This is believing God calls things that don’t exist as if they did. This is how God will operate in your life. He is a Creator of things unseen. They come alive by His Word.

Christ Jesus reveals His greatness and glory to those who express unyielding faith in Him through their thoughts, words, and actions. This cannot be an intellectual concept; you have to live out your faith.

The spiritual man or woman turns to God for their every need because they understand Christ has power and dominion over the heavens and earth.

I haven’t overlooked the issue of sin in getting right with Christ.

Sin is basically living for self and can never be overcome unless you walk by faith yielding to the Spirit of Christ living inside you. Invite the Holy Spirit to have authority over your life. He will take the precious truths of Jesus and share them with you.

Your sinful behaviors will begin to disappear as you walk by faith and the Holy Spirit teaches you the ways of Christ and transforms you into the character of Christ.

However, your faith has to be nourished through diligent prayer, living in the Word, and yielding to the Holy Spirit.

If you fail to do this, your faith will suffocate because of the pressures of dealing with the world and the temptations of the flesh.

Getting right with Christ is simply walking by faith and not reacting with doubt or fear over the troubles of life. If God is for you who can be against you!

The Living Christ keeps His Word. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you!
