The jealousy of Christ…a consuming fire!

“Most believers try to categorize Me to fit into their life. This limits My ability to be your God. Invite Me to live in the full stream of your life without any boundaries.”

For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.” Deuteronomy 4:24

The jealousy of Christ is like a consuming fire. It is the passion of Christ for humanity.

It is hard to understand why Christ is such a jealous God. He has power and dominion over the heavens and earth. And, He lacks nothing.

What is driving this jealousy? It is the love of Christ for you. He wants to give you a life you can never achieve on your own. And, this life lasts forever!

Christ does not want to share you with other gods or idols. He wants all of you for His purposes.

He becomes aroused with jealousy and anger when He sees you spending your time and efforts pursuing worldly living or other gods.

The irony of living with Christ is He is not asking for spiritual perfection; He just wants you to be totally devoted to Him even with all your faults.

Religion has become an idol in our world. You are taught to worship a system of laws with many do’s and don’ts.

The problem with religion is you will never find the Living Christ. And, you will never be able to please God or live by His values.

God will never command you to do things to please Him or ask you to abide in a system of laws.

He introduced this approach in dealing with the Israelites. This proved beyond a shadow of doubt it is impossible for anyone to keep the laws of God or please Him through works.

In fact, God sacrificed Christ Jesus, His only Son, to free you from all laws pertaining to the worship of God.

The freedom of Christ comes to you by faith believing in the promises of God. You accept Christ by faith and agree to live for Him.

The gift of salvation is better than anything you can find or experience in the world. You can live intimately with Christ every moment of your life filled with His love, joy, peace, strength and protection.

For in Him, we live and move and have our being!
