The indigenous nature of Christ in a believer!

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

The word from God today is “indigenous” which means innate or inborn.

As a believer you were created in the image of God and His nature lives in you through the Holy Spirit. You are a new creature in Christ Jesus.

The hand of God is molding you into a new person reflecting the values of Christ. This process is at work this very moment and will continue throughout your entire life here on earth.

The challenge is how are you going to utilize His workmanship?

Ministry begins with God and is inititated through the Holy Spirit.

Your faith is the catalyst to good works. Faith is believing in the promises of God and acting in obedience to God when He asks you to do a good work.

You don’t have to strive to do the work of God. The Holy Spirit will bring the work to you and anoint you for the task at hand.

Acknowledge the command of God to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This is treating others with respect and courtesy.

Walk in oneness with God through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the life of Jesus and He knows exactly how and when to reach out to a non believer.

The non believer does not have the indigenous quality of God and he or she cannot relate to you in spiritual terminology. In this situation, the most effective approach is usually just to be a light for God touching non believers with the fruit of the Spirit.

The most effective and powerful ministry of God takes place through intercession. You stand in the gap for those who do not know Jesus or are living in bondage to sin. You allow God to make intercession through the Holy Spirit dwelling within you. This will produce powerful results bringing down strongholds and setting people free.

The priority for a believer is to learn how to live by faith. You cannot leapfrog into ministry without a solid foundation of faith. Your life has to demonstrate an expression of faith even in the most dire of circumstances.

The works of God are accomplished by the resurrected power of Christ operating within you. Your self initiative is of no value in working for God. These efforts will come across as religion to others and will have lackluster results.

The works of Jesus were completed on the Cross. If you truly want to be a powerful witness for God you have to be willing to die to self and give up the right to your individuality. Your priority above all else is “Not my will but yours be done.”

You will impress God by your faith never by your works!
