The idiosyncrasies of Christ!

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways” Isaiah 55:8

The word from God today is understanding the idiosyncrasies of Christ. Idiosyncrasy is a mode of behavior or a way of thought peculiar to a specific individual or in this example almighty God.

The Lord is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my pathway!

God does not operate with human logic. He is unpredictable and at times controversial.

God is very jealous. His jealousy is like a consuming fire. He wants all of you.

God has spoken to the people of Christ “Have no other gods before Me” but we share God with many demigods and false idols.

God will choose to be silent at times. He did not speak to the nation of Israel for a period of four hundred years.

God is holy and hates sin. At one time He destroyed all humanity except for eight people because of immoral living. We are suffering through a pandemic for the same reasons including our defiance against the ways of God.

Your salvation comes through the blood of Christ. There is no other way.

God works in ways you and I cannot understand. At times, He will choose to cut off His goodness and allow you to suffer. You can hear the voice of David time and again in the Psalms pleading with God “Why have you forsaken me?”

God will get your attention in very strange ways. He spoke through a donkey to Balaam, a prophet of God. Balaam was reaching out to a foreign king who worshipped a false god. This eventually cost Balaam his life.

God brings suffering and adversity for His purposes. You cannot escape the judgments of God. They will end in His perfect timing.

God wants you to live with Him by faith believing in His promises regardless of the bleakness in your life.

God speaks out with clarity on finding the nourishment of life. Man shall not live by bread alone but every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

God performs miracles of healing. He is at work this very moment healing people all over the world and bringing glory to His name.

We have to accept God for who He is and not categorize Him by the terms of religion.

Worship God in Spirit and Truth with a submissive attitude “He is God and can do with me as He pleases.”
