“Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?” James 3:11
The best way to evaluate your relationship with God is to listen to the words coming out of your mouth. Do they edify God or come from self seeking or envy?

God holds each of us accountable for the words we speak. If you want your words to be like a stream of pure water you must walk by faith with God anchored to the Holy Spirit.
Your words are a reflection of the condition of your heart. Ask Jesus to pour His blood over you and create a clean heart inside you. Pray your motives are built on the values of Christ.
Your priority is to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. We get off track with God when we put our desires ahead of God.
Ask God to take away feelings of anger, bitterness, or deep hurts. Pray for inner healing and forgiveness.
We all tend to blame God when troubles come our way. The spiritual response is to recognize He is God and can do with you as He pleases.
Your troubles are an opportunity to see the the power of God at work and experience His miracles in your life.
Commit your works to God each day and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with His thoughts.
The wisdom coming from God is pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
This is the road map for a Christ follower!
