Complacency or a zealous heart for Jesus?

“Without Me you can do nothing.” Romans 12:5

The word from God today is complacency which is defined as self satisfaction along with unawareness of actual dangers or deficiencies. If you have this smug attitude you believe your human qualities will bring a good life and you are blinded to the attributes of our amazing God.

The attitude of complacency is pervasive in our society with both believers and non believers.

Many people operate aloof from God and depend on self sufficiency to meet their needs. God is mostly a void in their life. They lack the power, wisdom and omniscient abilities of Jesus to protect them from the dangers of living in the world. This attitude will eventually lead to death and destruction.

In Christianity, complacency reflects a lack of genuine concern about the will of God for your life. There is no fear of the Lord or a zealous desire to walk with Jesus.

Most leaders in the Body of Christ are out of step with God concerning judgment, the actions of the Holy Spirit and the evil threats facing our society. They deliver a message that Jesus lives in the Bible and you can find Him through works and laws.

Complacency prevents a believer from having a vibrant and embracing relationship with the reality of the Living Christ.

And, if you don’t listen to the the voice of God you will face many adversities and become entangled in a web of sinful activities.

A complacent individual cannot see the global views of God or understand His priorities.

God told me last night we all need the resuscitation power of Jesus to change from complacency to the vitality of a Christ follower. Ask and Jesus will literally breathe His life into your heart and soul.

We have to become alive in Christ anchored to the Holy Spirit with a vigorous attitude to seek out His will.

Salvation is life changing. If you walk with Jesus your life will be in continual change as you grow in spiritual maturity.

Jesus is at work this very moment performing the same miracles He did when He was on the earth. You and I have to choose whether we will be a spectator or on the playing field.

You have been created in His workmanship for good works. Take God seriously and you will see the transfigured Christ.

There is no one like Him!
