“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:38
I have learned after many years of walking with Jesus that you love Him through obedience to His voice.
I build my love for Jesus on faith in His promises and not what I see with my eyes.
Jesus has explained to me if a believer loves Him through his emotions he will have an up and done relationship and never experience His powerful presence.
Loving Jesus is doing His will which can be very costly, unpredictable and lack any human logic. I have lost every material thing in the world and have lived poverty stricken suffering ridicule from others.
I have been taught that Jesus wants to have a personal and embracing relationship with a believer. He wants His people to live in His reality.
He wants to talk with a believer and fill him with His powerful attributes like strength, wisdom and protection.
I hear the voice of God every day. He is alive in my life and teaches me His truths. He keeps His promises.
Jesus knows me better than I know myself. He sees all of my many sins and vulnerabilities in life. I have learned to pray for the blood of Christ to cover me and to turn away from darkness. He reminds me when I stray away with a jolt or upsetting incident.
I concentrate on Jesus through prayer, reading the Bible and yielding to the Holy Spirit.
Early in my journey I read Bill Bright’s book on the Holy Spirit. He said if a Christian desires the reality of Jesus in his life he must submit to the authority of the Holy Spirit. I invited the Holy Spirit to have control of my life and I was amazed to experience His guidance and presence in all the moments of life.
Jesus reaffirmed to me that He knows me better than I know myself and He leads me into the order and simplicity of the Most High.
The price of Jesus was very costly to me. I lost everything but gained the precious life of Jesus!
