Choosing the poison or Jesus!
Last night God spoke this Bible verse to me several times. We all have to make a big choice between poison and Jesus.
“So all Israel shall hear and fear, and not again do such wickedness as this among you.” Deuteronomy 13:11
This is about false teachers who attempt to influence a believer to go after other gods. They instruct God’s people covertly to go after and serve them. In reality, they are asking you to invite Satan to steal, kill and destroy.
The admonition from God is not to listen to the false teachers because God is testing you to find out whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul.
The instruction from God is to walk after the Lord your God, fear Him, keep His commandments and obey His voice. Hold fast to Jesus and serve Him.
We need to frame this spiritual truth into today’s society and the actions of God and Satan. We live in the End Times and there are many false teachers posing as men of God. They are espousing a gospel with modern interpretations contrary to the truths of Jesus. They want to present a modern God to people who accept the changing culture in our society.
God is testing every believer today. The decision is to honor the Lord your God with all your heart and soul or accept the teachings of a false leader. The Bible will never change. God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
The instruction from Jesus is to hear and fear Him and turn away from wickedness. We do this by prayer, reading the Bible and listening for the voice of God. Our upmost purpose is to seek the perfect will of Jesus for our lives.
The counterfeit teachers will be exposed by the Holy Spirit. This is why it is so important to submit to the authority of the Holy Spirit and ask Him to guide you into the truths of Jesus.
Don’t take this lightly. It is a matter of life or death!
