The purposes of God!

That in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.” Ephesians 1:10

You can look at the purposes of God from a global perspective or as an individual who believes in God.

The global view of God is impossible for you and I to gasp. God will defeat all evil in the heavens and earth and every living creature will bow down and worship Christ Jesus.

So as a mere mortal who came out of dust and will return to dust what is God’s plan for you? The priority of God is for you to accept the gift of eternal life and live with your Creator. This is the starting and ending point with God.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

The gift of eternal life begins the process of transforming you from your natural state into a new creature in Christ Jesus. You literally take on the life of Jesus and begin to live through His personality and value system.

As a believer, God’s purpose is for you to trust Him implicitly and walk by faith believing God calls things that don’t exist as if they did. You cannot please God or enter into His kingdom without faith.

Your faith will begin like a mustard seed and blossom to the point where nothing can deter you or cause you to doubt the greatness and glory of God.

Simply, the purpose of God is for you to be a bright light shining in the darkness touching people with the love of God. Forget about the works and religion and focus on living in oneness with God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I can share with you the precepts of God like do good, avoid evil, seek peace, and walk humbly with your Creator. Unfortunately you and I cannot keep these precious laws of God. The awareness of a “born again” believer is to recognize his weakness and corrupted inner being and to draw upon the blood and resurrected life of the Son of God.

You have a unique personality, strengths and weaknesses, and natural talents. God looks at the essence of your being and fashions a handcrafted plan to give you an abundant life and to use you as His light proclaiming the renown, praise, and glory of God.

The work of God will take many years so you have to learn to be patient and wait upon God. My encouragement is for you to get to know the Living God and invite Him to live with you in a moment by moment relationship. Forget the big picture and find Him today!

He loves you!

Finding God’s heart today!

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

You and I are starting a new day and face challenges, disappointments, and the changes life will bring.

IMG_0786

We live in an upside down world where sin and evil attempt to influence and dominate our lives. Where is God today and how can you touch His heart?

The heart of God will always take you back to living by faith in His promises and trusting Him for your every need. Faith is the foundation to a relationship with God and everything will evolve out of your faith in God. Faith precedes all things and nourishes you with the Living Water.

This is the starting and ending point with God. He will make you look at your life and simply ask you “Are you trusting Me or living by what you see?”

Your unyielding faith in God will please Him and draw you into His righteousness. Faith is laying your every need before the throne of God and seeking Him out for help because you know He has power and dominion over the heavens and earth.

Faith is refusing to accept worldly views or placing your hope in material possessions. It is appropriating the words of Jesus into your life today; “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Faith is living out the words of Jesus and expressing your belief through your words and actions.

Come to God by faith praising Him for His greatness and glory and commit your works today to God.

Your pure and unvarnished faith will stir the heart of God and He will do for you what you cannot do for yourself. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord!

This is why I worship our majestic God!

The intrinsic qualities of a believer!

If you walk with God you will face persecution and adversity. The fruit of the Spirit will lift you above the world and give you the ability to live in victory with your Creator.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23

The qualities of God come to you from the Spirit of God living within you. They are not regulated by any law and are a free gift you can receive by faith in your Creator.

IMG_0782

It is impossible to find these qualities in the world or through your actions. They are intangible and come from heaven.

The fruit of the Spirit is essential to cope with the evils of the world. You and I are a member of the “set apart” people chosen by God. We live in the world but we are not of the world. God is the center of our life and we live for Him.

We are called to be a powerful light for God touching people living in darkness. This is only possible through the Holy Spirit who fills you with the character of Jesus.

Sin diminishes the power of the Holy Spirit and weakens your ability to draw upon the fruit of the Spirit. Confess your sins and ask for the blood of Jesus to cover you.

Walk in oneness with God through the Holy Spirit and remember the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus will set you free from the law of sin and death.

Your only hope is “To live and move and have your being in Christ Jesus” who died so you can live filled with His life.

He lives so you can live!

What is assurance for a believer!

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.” 1 John 5:11-13

Assurance is the gift of eternal life. This life is in Jesus Christ. He who has the Son living in Him has this life.

IMG_0551
Think of your salvation as My life working through you today!

As a believer, you can be assured that Christ is in you and you are in Christ. The gift of eternal life is living through your Creator one day at a time. It is never about time or the future. It is appropriating the life of Jesus into every aspect of your life today.

Assurance is the ability to draw upon the life of Jesus to meet your challenges. The Holy Spirit offers you a reservoir of strength, wisdom, and joy to sustain your through today.

Assurance does not allow you to avoid trials and tribulations but it gives you confidence to overcome your living issues by your faith in the Son of God.

Assurance is confidence that Jesus will provide you with an abundant life and give you more than you ask or think.

Assurance comes when you commit your day to God. You can have confidence He will be close to you and fill you with His thoughts.

Assurance is understanding the power of God works through your prayers, praise to your Creator, and the Living Word.

Assurance is the knowledge that all your sins are forgiven by the blood of Jesus and He is at work to purify you with His virtue.

Assurance is your faith in the promises of God and understanding God keeps His Word.

Assurance is living with God forever!

Who gives you the right to quarrel with God?

Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker,
Those who are nothing but potsherds
Among the potsherds on the ground.
Does the clay say to the potter,
“What are you making?” Does your work say,
“The potter has no hands?” Isaiah 45:9

You start off in life as a piece of broken clay just like all of humanity. The transition into a beautiful work of art is accomplished by the hand of God in His perfect timing.

IMG_0780

This truth in Isaiah is a warning from God to cease from questioning His work in your life. You have no right to complain or try to instruct God about His workmanship. His ways are prefect!

Do you really believe God lacks the ability to refine you into His nature? What gives you the right to confront God who forms the light and creates darkness or brings prosperity or disaster. God does all these things. He is the first and the last God. There is no other God.

You may not acknowledge God but He knows you by name and is at work in your life. And, He desires to give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that He is the Lord.

How do you and I deal with a God who knows us better than we know ourselves and desires to mold the broken piece of clay into a beautiful work of creation.

You have to accept you are a broken piece of clay and that God is the only source who can transform you into a new creature in Christ Jesus filled with His virtue.

You also have to accept that God’s ways are not your ways and give Him respect and praise for His handiwork even though it is not visible to you.

This is not easy but the heart attitude in a believer should be “Here I am Lord. Take me and do as you please.”

God is perfect and cannot be moved. You have to accept the integrity of God and come before Him with humility as a broken piece of pottery!

God will never owe you anything!

He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Romans 4:20-22

IMG_0676

Abraham was a human being just like you and me. He was a man of many weaknesses and was old in age and approaching the end of life when God spoke to Him.

God told Abraham that he would be the Father of all believers. Abraham believed God and never wavered in this promise through unbelief. Abraham gave glory to God and was fully convinced that what God had promised He would bring into reality. Abraham believed in the glory and greatness of God.

This promise from God was not contingent on works or any effort on Abraham’s part. The promise was a gift from the love of God and could only be received by faith.

Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him as righteousness.

God has made promises to you through His Word and His prophetic voice. Your responsibility is to accept the promises of God by faith and live in praise to your Creator. There is no obligation to do work to receive the promises of God. They are a gift from God.

If you try to work to earn the promises or favor of God you are nullifying the work of the cross and the grace of God. You can only approach God by faith.

God will never owe you anything! He paid the price for your life on the cross. You have to come to God by faith and live in the baptism of His death and resurrected life.

Faithful is He that called!

The dispensation of the love of God!

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

The definition of dispensation is “a system of order or government”. Jesus created a new order for the relationship between God and humanity through the act of dying on the cross.

The love of God is no longer governed by laws, works, or religion. Those activities died with Jesus on the cross and have no effect in gaining the favor of God.

IMG_0778
Honor Me for what I have done for you! Live through My death and ressurected life. My ways are perfect!

The love of God is dispensed to you through your faith in Christ Jesus, the Son of God. The gift of eternal life is freely given to you out of the love of God and has nothing to do with your efforts. You cannot boast because you are unworthy of this gift and can do nothing to earn or justify this gift.

Justification with God is by faith!

You have been judged and found guilty. You can only be restored to God by the blood of Jesus and walking by faith with your Creator. Faith is believing in the promises of God and trusting Jesus for your every need. Faith is believing God calls things that don’t exist as if they did.

Faith is living in the Word of God and never judging God by your circumstances. Faith is committing your works each day to God and living in oneness with Him through the Holy Spirit.

When you think about God’s love, remember you are a hopeless and lost soul and can do nothing without the life of Jesus living in you. Come to God with a humble and contrite heart with praise for His greatness and glory!

You can’t second guess God!

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!” Romans 11:33

God has a deep reservoir of rich and precious wisdom and knowledge. This wisdom cannot be found anywhere on this earth. And, His ways are perfect. You cannot define or explain the ways of God. They defy human logic.

IMG_0776

The judgments of God are unsearchable and have to be accepted without any explanation. God will never change and you can’t influence or change His mind. He will do as He sees fit.

God does not want you to try to counsel Him or convince Him to do something that makes sense to you. This is futility and a waste of time.

You can’t do anything to impress God or cause Him to change His mind. Jesus emptied His life for you and the work of the cross is complete.

Think for a moment about the nature of God, “For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things”. He is omnipotent and lacks nothing. You and I have to come to Jesus as empty and broken people recognizing we are at the mercy of almighty God.

We have to learn to be submissive to Him and accept His ways. There can be no debate or procrastination when God speaks to you.

You can delight the heart of God by waking up each day and speaking to Him with these words; “Not My will but yours be done.”

Taking off the blinders to see God!

But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:15-16

You might be a very religious believer, attend church, pray, and read the Bible. And, you might be an active worker striving to do good things for God.

Unfortunately, none of these things will allow you to see the Living God! The spiritual man or woman is identified with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit who lives in them. Jesus prayed that you might be one with Him as He was one with His Father.

The only way you can be one with God is through the precious Holy Spirit. The Spirit is the life of Jesus dwelling inside you. He will teach you the things of God, convict you of sin, and guide your pathway.

IMG_0775

You can have a personal and intimate relationship with your Creator through the Holy Spirit. He will become your best friend and share the life of Jesus with you.

If you are one with the Holy Spirit you can be judged by no one. This is possible because you have the mind of Christ and are obedient to His voice.

The Holy Spirit opens your eyes to the person of Jesus Christ. You come to understand the deep things of God through the illumination of the Spirit. The truths in the Bible come alive!

The Holy Spirit teaches you to walk by faith and reaffirms that you cannot please God without faith. This is where many believers are led astray. It is much easier and more comfortable to do things for God than to live in reckless abandonment to your Creator.

Can you really trust God when you are thrown into a burning furnace, a den of lions, or facing an enemy assault from a strong and vast army.

The Holy Spirit is not interested in hearing you talk about your faith. He wants you to demonstrate your faith through your actions.

The Spirit of the Living God desires to give you the heart of David who genuinely lived by this precept; “My help comes from the Lord who created the heavens and earth.”

Invite the Holy Spirit to live in every aspect of your life and you will meet the reality of the Risen Christ. Your life will never be the same!

Living out New Testament reality!

The miracle of life is the ability to live through the person of Jesus Christ!

“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

IMG_0774

The abundance of Jesus begins in your heart relationship to Him. It is understanding that He lives in you and you live in Him.

The abundance of Jesus comes when you seek Him out and ask for His blood to cover your sins and His Spirit to convict and correct your ways.

The abundance of Jesus is living in oneness with Him through the Holy Spirit and experiencing a personal and intimate conversation with your Creator.

The abundance of Jesus is praising Him for who He is and walking by faith believing in His promises.

The abundance of Jesus is committing your works each day to Him and asking the Holy Spirit to go before you and make your path smooth.

The abundance of Jesus is that you can go to Him at anytime and ask for His wisdom, strength, and joy knowing He will fulfill your request.

The abundance of Jesus is casting your burdens upon the Lord and receiving His peace and freedom from the trials of life. It is understanding that His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

The abundance of Jesus is believing in His healing power and seeking Him out for physical and emotional healing.

The abundant life begins with dying to self and living for Jesus. Think Christ in you and pleasing your Creator. The material blessings will follow!
