“To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness” Isaiah 61:3
The word from God today is catharsis which refers to exfoliating unhappy memories or strong emotions such as anger or sadness by asking Jesus for healing.
We all experience disasters in life. The challenge is how to recover and get ready for a new season.
The past brings feelings and memories of irreparable things and can cause destructive anxiety, anger and bitterness. We strike out at God for the misfortunes in life.
We are healed by His stripes!
God desires to transform an injured believer with a positive attitude and healthy outlook for the future. This requires you to let go of the past. Give your past and the attendant feelings to Christ.
Leave the irreparable past in the hands of God and pray for inner healing and renewal of a strong faith.
Trust the promises of Jesus! He wants to turn ashes into beauty.
The miracle of Easter is you can experience the Living Christ every moment of your life.
This happens because Jesus sacrificed His life on the Cross.
Christianity attempts to turn Easter into a new member recruitment effort but Easter is not about a church.
Easter gives a human being the ability to have a personal and symbiotic relationship with Jesus.
Jesus comes out of the Bible to be present in your life, speak to you, and share His powerful attributes with you.
The Living Christ desires to give you the gift of salvation. This gift allows you to live with Jesus forever. He forgives your every sin with His precious blood and restores you to God.
Salvation is a system of living with Jesus. Salvation does not relate to time. It is an endless relationship with Jesus.
The decision for Jesus seals a believer with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the life of Christ and gives you the ability to walk in oneness with Him.
The Holy Spirit spoke to me today about the importance of Easter.
Jesus transforms a human being from a nondescript character lacking spiritual features into a new creature in Christ filled with the values and personality of Jesus.
Jesus can do for you what you can never get from the world. Have an awesome Easter!
Jesus thinks differently. He does not measure success by productivity.
Your desire to do works, keep laws or pursue religion will not create success or impress Jesus.
Jesus measures success by those who are devoted and loyal to Him above all else. They are obedient to the voice of Jesus regardless of the cost or lack of logic.
The Christ follower walks by faith believing in the promises of Jesus and not what He sees with his eyes.
He lets go of independence and control over his life.
The secret is to give the Holy Spirit authority over your life and listen for His wisdom.
The Holy Spirit will teach you how to live by the values of Jesus in all the routine and unexciting moments of life. This discipline can then be expanded to the bigger challenges of life.
The importance is to understand success comes from Jesus and not self achievement.
Jesus desires for you to build a personal and embracing relationship with Him. He wants a believer to pray vigilantly, read the Bible, and listen for His voice.
Jesus wants you to reach out to Him for your every need and sever your ties to the world.
Jesus tells believers success comes from the blood of Jesus and an open heart to turn away from darkness.
The success of Jesus is creating a humble and contrite human vessel who has no need to boast of himself.
The Christ follower knows he is nothing without Jesus!
This is not make believe. Satan and his army of demons are very dangerous and desire to destroy you.
The demons are very devious and they know all your weaknesses. They hear all your words and see all your actions and attempt to deceive you into evil schemes. The demons cannot hear your thoughts. This is a safe haven for a believer.
Jesus cannot kill the demons at this time but He has the power to cast them out of a human being. In the perfect timing of God, Jesus will destroy Satan and every demon in the world.
Jesus has given believers the power to cast out demons. This requires concentration on Jesus and using the tools He has provided. Prayer and fasting are excellent preparation for casting out demons.
Last night I saw a vision of a net to protect believers from demons and a container of insecticide that forces demons to flee from your presence. The net is the armor of God and the insecticide is the blood of Jesus.
The Bible explains your struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities and against the powers of this dark world.
The armor of God is your protection against demons and will allow you to defeat all the schemes of Satan.
The belt of truth is the Word of God. Pray the Word will dwell richly in you with all wisdom and understanding. The Word is alive and powerful and is sealed in a believer.
Jesus desires for you to be fitted with the breast plate of righteousness. The righteousness of God comes to those who have unyielding faith in the promises of Jesus and are obedient to the voice of God. Pray for an open heart to the conviction and correction of the Holy Spirit. This will keep you on track with Jesus.
Pray for readiness every day by walking in the footsteps of Jesus. Make decisions under the authority of the Holy Spirit seeking the anointing of the gospel of peace from Jesus. Commit your works each day to Jesus and ask Him to fill you with His thoughts.
Take the shield of faith speaking the words of God which can extinguish the flaming darts of the enemy.
No weapon formed against me shall prosper.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength.
The blood of Christ gives me victory over Satan, sin and death.
I have the authority of Jesus over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt me.
Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph through Jesus and dispenses the fragrance of His knowledge everywhere.
Walk in oneness with Jesus abiding in the gift of salvation and respond to all the demonic challenges in life with the sword of the Spirit.
Pray in the Spirit for protection and wisdom. Listen for the voice of Jesus and allow Him to guide your prayers.
How to cast out demons!
Ask Jesus to share His authority over demons with you.
Pray for the discerning of spirits. Ask Jesus to identify the head demon or leader inside the afflicted individual.
Jesus will reveal the name of the demon which usually refers to something evil. Then it is your responsibility to pray the words of Jesus to cast out the demon. It is not necessary to go after other demons in the individual. They will flee with the head demon.
The demonic strongholds are very difficult to crush particularly if the afflicted individual welcomes them in his life.
Sometimes, Jesus will choose intercession to bring down an impossible stronghold. Intercession is based on this scripture in Colossians: “Filling up the flesh with the afflictions of Christ for His body, the church.”
Jesus will work through the Holy Spirit dwelling in you to crush the stronghold. Most of the intercession takes place below your consciousness but you will identify with the feelings and darkness in the afflicted individual.
Spiritual warfare is tiresome and weary but don’t give up. Jesus is a God of victory!
The Holy Spirit spoke to me last night about the reciprocal privileges of Jesus. They are the most important treasures in life and should be sought after and cherished by every human being in the world.
A reciprocal relationship is between two parties where one completes (or compliments) the other. In the spiritual realm Jesus and a believer work together to accomplish the desires of God.
Every human being is born with a void of God and an inner nature to live for self and defy God. This contrasts with God who is perfect and without sin or any ego.
God has no interest in the natural life of a human being from birth. He created the act of salvation to transform a human being into a new creature in Christ and give him the gift of eternal life.
The new creature is made complete in Jesus and is entitled to all the privileges of the Lord. Jesus and the new believer form a symbiotic relationship where they compliment one another.
The blood of Jesus covers all the sins of a new creature and allows for him to be restored to God. He can face Jesus without any shame or condemnation.
The new creature inherits all the promises of Jesus and has access to the attributes of His life.
He walks in oneness with the Living Christ and hears His voice with consistency.
He lives by faith and relies on Jesus for his every need.
He seeks the will of God for his life above all else.
He invites the Holy Spirit to have authority over his life. The Holy Spirit is sealed inside a believer. He is the life of Jesus and desires to be a presence and powerful force in the life of a believer.
The Holy Spirit will provide a believer with omniscient wisdom and protect him from evil. He sees every detail of your life from the past and into the future. Nothing is hidden from Jesus.
The Holy Spirit will empower a believer with supernatural strength to overcome any challenge in life.
The new believer becomes a powerful witness for Jesus and learns to be obedient to His instructions.
Come to Jesus and be reciprocated by His precious privileges. He loves you!
Jesus brought up this subject last night. The challenge is you cannot define success by worldly standards.
Jesus measures success by your faith in His promises. Without faith you cannot please Him. The Christ follower reaches out to Jesus for His every need. He lives by faith not by what he sees with his eyes.
The question is do you live for Jesus above all else and seek His will for your life?
If you are not anchored in Jesus then you cannot expect the favor of God.
If you are seeking success through the world you are telling Jesus that He is not important.
Jesus helps all those who are devoted and obedient to Him. This devotion is developed by prayer, reading the Bible, and listening for the voice of God.
Success cannot come to a believer unless He is yielding to the authority of the Holy Spirit who lives in all Christ followers.
The success of Jesus is determined by those who take the Cross seriously. Are you willing to die to self and live for Jesus?
The blood of Christ is the only way you can be forgiven and restored to God. This requires a contrite heart and openness to repentance.
The gift of salvation is the ability to walk in oneness with Jesus and be obedient to His voice regardless of the personal cost or lack of logic. Your obedience will be rewarded with the favor of Jesus.
The defining factor of success is determined by your commitment to “Not my will but Yours be done.”
We live in the world but do not belong to the world.
The Holy Spirit spoke to me last night about jurisdictional boundaries. This subject deals with the authenticity of Jesus and why you need Him in your life and the pitfalls of the world.
We all live under the jurisdiction of the laws of our country. If you are not a believer you can do anything you desire except break the laws.
The jurisdiction of Jesus comes to those who make a decision to live for Him above all else. There is a strong distinction between the jurisdiction of Jesus and religion. Jesus wants you to be free of religion, mandated works and living under laws. And, you are not bound to come under the authority of the rules of a church.
The jurisdiction of Jesus is designed to protect and help you have an abundant life filled with the goodness of God.
The contrast in the jurisdictional boundaries is crucial to your livelihood!
Jesus makes promises. The world cannot make any promises.
Jesus offers the gift of salvation and you can live with Him forever. The world offers a short lived life span.
Jesus provides supernatural protection against the evils in the world. The world is under the influence of Satan who wants to steal, kill and destroy.
Jesus promises to deliver you from trials and adversity. The world is helpless and void of any power to deliver you.
Jesus has power and dominion over the heavens and earth. The world is vulnerable to natural disasters, economic woes, and diseases. Jesus has overcome the world and defeated death.
Jesus desires to have a personal and symbiotic relationship with a believer. He wants to speak with you and be present in all the moments of your life. The world offers false gods who want to destroy you.
Jesus shares His life with a believer. He provides supernatural strength, wisdom, joy, and protection. The world offers short lived emotional experiences without any sustaining qualities.
Jesus can do for you what you can never receive from the world. He is a promise keeper!
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.” Luke 9:23-24
Most believers never get to this decision.
The journey with Jesus begins with your commitment to live for Him. This seals a believer with the Holy Spirit and begins the transformation from the old to the new. The Bible refers to this as sanctification. Your life at birth dies and you have a new identity in Jesus.
At some point the love of Christ superimposes the work of sanctification in a committed believer.
This happens to believers who have a transfigured experience with Jesus and see His power and glory. They are never the same again.
When you come into the presence of God and experience His terrifying power it causes a believer to be willing to give up everything because of the love of Christ. He knows first hand nothing is impossible for Jesus and He has your back.
The love of Christ will motivate a believer to do the works of Jesus regardless of the personal cost. He sees how insignificant his life is compared to Jesus and wants to give back to Jesus for what He has done for him.
When a believer becomes captivated by the love of Christ he projects an authentic witness of the holiness and power of Jesus. People see Jesus not an individual’s personal holiness!
Seek out Jesus with an open heart and a desire to do His will. Jesus wants you to walk with Him by faith and be enveloped by His overwhelming love!
“He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
The water baptism performed by John the Baptist was just the beginning for a Jesus follower. John said Jesus is mightier than me and He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Most believers are baptized with water at some time in their life. This baptism is for the cleansing of all sin in an individual through repentance. There is no deep work of God in this baptism. If you accepted Jesus as as part of this baptism then you are a new creature in Christ and the transformation from your past to the new begins.
Jesus has to get to the deep roots of sin in your personality. Many of these sins are below your consciousness.
Jesus is omniscient and sees all the compulsive behaviors, genetic dispositions, and moral depravity in a human being.
This is why John the Baptist said Jesus will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
The Holy Spirit will search your inner nature and identify all your imperfections. Then Jesus will disintegrate the sin with holy fire. This baptism will not exclude all sin but it will make you acceptable to God.
We are all born with a personality that wants to satisfy self and defy God. This condition will never entirely leave you here on earth.
This is why it is so important to be one with Jesus. He will convict you and point out where you need to change.
It is impossible to be perfect with God. Don’t even try. Just worship Jesus in Spirit and Truth and be open to His correction.
Jesus desires for you to walk by faith and be obedient to His voice. This is why Abraham was credited with the righteousness of God. He obeyed God.
We can never impress Jesus with our holiness but we can get His respect and love by walking in obedience to His instructions.
