Why doesn’t Jesus make any sense?

“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.” John 16:12

The word from God today is lucidity referring to the ability to perceive the truths of God with instantaneous clarity.

The elementary things of God can be quickly grasped by almost anyone. However, the deeper truths of salvation and learning the mysteries of God are hidden and take time to comprehend.

It is impossible to understand Jesus unless you are united in oneness with Him and living to satisfy His purposes. This is a disposition of “Not my will but Yours be done” ingrained into the depth of your heart and soul.

Until you reach this point you are just living on the surface with Jesus.

God reveals the interpretation of His word through the Holy Spirit. You must be a human vessel cleansed with the blood of Christ and committed to God above all else with an open mind to learn.

The Holy Spirit will shatter your preconceived beliefs and religious training if you are open to Him. You will meet the Living Christ and understand the reality of His teaching. Jesus will be present in your living room.

Yours is not to know until the time fixed by God!

Sometimes the Holy Spirit will speak words to you that don’t make any sense relating to your life. Just listen and file away these words. God will bring clarity in His perfect timing.

God speaks with lucidity to those who listen for His voice and respond with obedience to His instructions.

The words of the transfigured Christ make sense to those who live in the death and resurrection of the Cross!

How Jesus changes from obscure to tangible!

“Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth” Colossians 3:2

The word from God today is palpable referring to the ability to live in the presence and reality of Jesus.

The person of Jesus lives in heaven. You cannot see Him or meet in His presence on earth.

You have to come to the palpable Jesus through the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Christ and lives in all believers. He is not illusive.

The Holy Spirit makes Jesus very tangible. Jesus becomes alive in your heart, mind, and body.

The frontier of God is like crossing a boundary from the world into the kingdom of Christ.

Jesus becomes tangible when you reach out to Him with an open heart.

The decision to live for Jesus will create an endearing and embracing relationship with God. Jesus will become your best friend whom you can trust implicitly.

Jesus will become real. You will hear His voice. Jesus will become embodied in your personality, thinking patterns, and emotions.

The beginning of salvation is easy and then comes the arduous work. This work is prayer, reading the word of God, and training yourself to live under the authority of the Holy Spirit.

Your relationship with Jesus is defined by sin. The Holy Spirit is relentless in convicting you of sin and teaching you how to live by the values of Jesus.

Jesus wants you do His will on earth as it is done in heaven. This is very difficult because we all have inner nature to live for self.

This is where the Holy Spirit plays an important role in your life. He keeps you on a pathway with God and transforms you into the character of Jesus.

Jesus has nothing to do with religion or keeping laws. He wants your obedience to Him regardless of the cost or sacrifice. Jesus requires you to walk by faith believing in His promises. You live by faith not by what you see with your eyes.

Jesus won’t give you a life free of troubles. He probably will increase your troubles but He promises to give you the strength, joy and peace to live above the adversities of life.

Jesus keeps His promises!

Shallow or deep with Christ!

This is about accepting life on the terms of Jesus!

“Do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.” 1 Peter 4:12

The revelation of the Holy Spirit for today is awakening to the reality of what happens to a Christ follower. This answers the question of “Why is this happening to me?”

The life of a Christ follower is designed to happen (or unfold) like the life of Jesus. Whether there is joy, sadness, prosperity, deprivation, hurt or suffering you are living the life of Christ.

You are living the same life Jesus lived and are embodied in all His emotions.

Your life is a reflection of Christ. Nothing happens by chance.

To reach this point of identification with Jesus you have to be in oneness with Him and seeking the will of Jesus above all else.

You have to be sold out for Jesus regardless of the cost or sacrifice. This is about obedience to His voice not works.

This is living under the authority of the Holy Spirit.

This is knowing the transfigured Christ and living with trembling fear and respect for His name.

What causes someone to make this life changing decision?

This happens to those who are touched deeply with the love of Jesus. They are motivated by His unconditional and unfailing love and His faithful promises. Nothing else really matters.

You must have an uncompromising attitude and exemplify the lifestyle of Jesus to receive the fullness of God. This means you accept Jesus without deviation or doubt. Believe in Jesus who lived and walked the earth and did the powerful works of God.

The wonderful gift from God is the Living Christ desires to be in every moment of your life!

Jesus is not a historical figure. He is alive!

Hiding in Christ!

“For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:3

The Christ follower has died to self and your new life is hidden in the death and resurrection of Jesus.

The privilege of hiding in Christ is you can have a private and endearing relationship with Jesus, the Son of God. He desires to be up close and personal in every moment of your life.

As a believer, you hide in Christ from the projectiles of Satan. You live in the world but you are not of the world. Jesus protects those who worship Him in Spirit and Truth.

Your residence is in “no man’s land”. This is an area between two encroaching armies. The war is between light and darkness. You are like a combatant fighting off the advances of Satan.

You are on a journey with Christ and your purpose on earth is hidden from your eyes.

The new life is unveiled through vigilant prayer and a sincere desire to seek the will of God.

The value of hiding in Christ is you will live with Him forever and inherit all of the benefits of His citizenship.

The Holy Spirit keeps you hidden in Christ from the temptations of the world and focused on seeking first the kingdom of God.

Hiding in Christ will give you the ability to escape the “misery index” regardless of the circumstances in your life. The Holy Spirit will fill you with the joy, strength, and the peace of God.

The wrath of God does not come down on those who are hiding in Christ with trembling fear and respect for His name.

Hiding in Christ is walking by faith and trusting Jesus to deliver you from all the challenges of life.

What prevents a believer from hiding in Christ is an incredulous attitude of unbelief. Come to Me by faith and I will deliver all those who are hanging by a thread with no way out. I am Christ the Lord and there is no one like Me.

Hedge your bets with Christ!

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever,” Hebrews 13:8

You lose in the world but win with Christ!

The word from God today is immutable which is defined as unchanging.

God is immutable which means you can trust implicitly in the promises of Jesus.

The challenge for a believer is not to get caught up in the world.

The world is in a state of change. It is transitioning from a beautiful creation of God into a morass of evil. The world is motivated by greed and living by self imposed standards.

The world is demoralizing and will lead you astray from Jesus. This is because the world does not operate under the authority of Christ.

As believers we stray between God and the strong pull of the world. We have a cursory attitude about the importance of God and tend to be motivated by self interests.

Don’t step into the world until you have met with the Living Christ. He will fill you with strength, wisdom, joy and protection and help you overcome the temptations of the world.

Commit your works each day to Jesus and live under the authority of the Holy Spirit.

This will allow you to enjoy the world without becoming estranged from God.

Pray for the mind of Christ so you can walk in the light and avoid the darkness.

Jesus wants to give you precious treasures that you can never find in the world! He lives in His word.

Meeting the empirical Christ!

“But Christ is all and in all” Colossians 3:11

This is a rare opportunity to change from a member of an endangered species into a citizen of Christ with a bright future.

The word from God today is empirical referring to the ability to experience the reality of Jesus in person.

You can verify the authenticity of Jesus by personally making contact with Him. This does not involve human logic or intellect.

This is available at this very moment to anyone without any strings attached.

There is no sectionalism in the heart of God.

Jesus breaks down all racial, cultural, political and religious barriers with the gift of salvation.

No one is estranged from the ability to live with Jesus.

The revelation of Christ is that He is present everywhere and sees everything. He is a ubiquitous God and nothing is hidden from Him.

He is next to you at this very moment. Jesus sees through the eyes of the seven spirits of God who roam the world.

Jesus is in charge of a massive army of angels who are powerful spiritual beings. He dispatches the angels all over the world to do His work. There is one near you at this very moment.

The Holy Spirit who is the life of Christ sees every detail of your life and knows you better than you know yourself.

Jesus is omniscient and can see into history, the present moment or the future. He knows every thought you will have today before you wake up.

Jesus has power and dominion over the heavens and earth. He can shake the earth, turn the sun into darkness, or destroy a nation in a split second.

Jesus can raise a human being from death and resuscitate his ability to breathe, live and move.

Nothing is impossible for Jesus.

This is an invitation to come into the holiest and most sacred place in the universe. All are welcome regardless of your past or many mistakes.

Come to Jesus today and see that He is all and in all. You can peek into His kingdom by reaching out to Jesus with an open heart.

Just ask Jesus to show you who He is and then be quiet, look around and listen for His voice.

You will see the majesty of God, hear His voice and your life will never be the same!

Jesus dares you to follow Him into the darkness of life!

“Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.” Hebrews 13:14

There is a risk in walking with God but the rewards are overwhelming. The journey is controversial, unpredictable and will take you into dark places.

The altar of God is Holy. In the Old Testament the blood of animals provided forgiveness of sins and made the Israelites clean in the eyes of God.

However, the bodies of the animals were contaminated and were required to be burned outside the camp. Jesus was also crucified outside the camp. The camp represents the essence of God in the Holy city of Jerusalem. Today, the Holy city is the kingdom of God located in Heaven.

As a Christ follower you have to go outside the camp bearing the rebuke of God over sin. There is no continuing city for a believer sitting in a church or functioning in the world.

We are not of the world and must seek the high prize of God through our journey outside the camp.

We must go outside into the ugly morass of humanity. If you attempt to live in the camp you will be tied to the chains of religion and never experience the Living Christ. The signs and wonders of God occur in dark places inhabited by those living under a stronghold of Satan.

You and I are imperfect human vessels operating with the powerful life of Christ dwelling within us. We live and move and have our being outside the camp. This is where we can please God. The camp is reserved for you after death.

The charge from God is to offer the sacrifice of praise to Jesus with your lips and to have a heart of thanksgiving. This transcends all your troubles. We have no excuse regardless of the dire conditions of life.

God desires for you to do good and share your abundance with others.

The sacrifice of denying self and living for Jesus brings great pleasure to the Most High and you will be rewarded with the treasures of God.

Seeing Jesus with tunnel vision!

We live by faith not by sight! 2 Corinthians 5:7

The biggest misconception in Christianity is seeing Jesus for what we want Him to be and not for who He is. This causes conflict, anger and blame in your relationship with Him.

The word from God today is denigrating the name of Christ. This means to criticize unfairly or disparage. This is a widespread practice in the Body of Christ and is a pathetic response to the greatness and glory of God.

We have tunnel vision about God and at times treat Him like a second class citizen. We do this with our thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Many believers come across as proper, neat and saintly. They hide behind religion and are not in touch with the Living Christ.

We denigrate God because things are not going our way and we need someone to blame.

We believe God is the highest authority in our life but He is failing in His job.

We denigrate Christ by exaggerating His claims and whitewashing His words to satisfy our needs and lifestyle.

We denigrate God by striving through our own efforts and failing to live by faith.

We denigrate God by operating with impure motives. We put self above God.

We denigrate God by attempting to use Him to accomplish our goals.

We denigrate God for testing us through His words and actions. We call Him disingenuous or usually speak much stronger words.

We denigrate God for the seasons of deprivation, pain and suffering. Jesus gives and takes for His purposes. Yours is not to question the ways of God. They are perfect.

Denigrating God will get you nowhere and only dig your hole deeper. You grieve the Holy Spirit and bring curses upon your life.

God can do with a Christ follower as He pleases. Yours is not to complain but to come before Him with praise and thanksgiving believing in His promises.

When I woke up this morning God told me He favors those who feel utterly useless to Him and know they are made with a sordid (or depraved) nature. Jesus has a heart for the downtrodden.

We denigrate Christ because we have a mistaken vision of His purpose for our life. We are to die to self and live for Christ.

Give Jesus permission to do with you regardless of the cost or sacrifice. He wants your obedience to His voice without any argument or need for human logic.

Jesus desires to give you an abundant life but He wants to accomplish this His way. If Jesus were to snap His fingers today and give you prosperity and fame this would probably ruin your life and bring utter destruction upon you.

God has to make us into His people who operate by faith with the values of Christ. We have to be able to greet each day with a desire to do His will above all else. We have to accept the testing and correction without lashing out at God.

The prosperity of God comes to those who are motivated by living in oneness with Jesus and accepting life on God’s terms.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He is a perfect God in an imperfect world!

Denial of Christ!

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30

The word from God today is about the consequences of denial.

Denial is a behavior in every Christ follower.

If you are a non believer, denial is not an issue. You don’t accept the validity of Christ and can’t deny something you don’t believe in.

Denial is living for self and rejecting the desires of Christ. This nature is ingrained inside you and will never leave you while on this earth.

God wants to deal with this subject today because denial deprives you of the treasures of Christ. God knows your personality better than you know yourself. He laid down His life to crucify your self nature. He wants you to have the very best.

The Cross was an act of compassion and love for you. Denial diminishes the power of Christ in a believer. It prevents you from receiving the fullness from our great God.

Denial brings death to the Living Christ dwelling inside you. The richness of the privileges of Christ are not available to you. The door to the transfigured Christ is not open.

How can you deal with this monster of self living inside you?

First you have to admit you are an impoverished soul and can never match up to the standards of God.

You cannot overcome this monster through your own efforts or with religion. You have no will power to fight this nature of self indulgence.

The solution is to ask God by faith to do this work of transformation. He will crucify your inner nature and replace self with the character of God.

Pray each day for the will of God with an open heart. Listen to the voice of God. Invite the Holy Spirit to have authority over your mind and decision making.

Give Jesus permission to make you “Christ like”. It will be painful at times but the outcome will give you an abundant life filled with the goodness of Christ.

The soliloquy of Christ!

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

Soliloquy is like an oration when God speaks His words to others.

The soliloquy of Christ for today is the word “epitomize” which means to be be a perfect example of someone.

How can you and I epitomize Jesus?

The answer is we can’t without dramatic change.

The gift of salvation comes to you by faith. It is a precious gift from God to be valued over anything in life.

God prepared this gift for you before you were born.

You must take your hands off this gift. Salvation does not belong to you. And, you have no control over how God chooses to use you for His purposes. You belong to God and He can do with you as He pleases.

Salvation is the work of God to create a new creature in the nature of Jesus.

This is about God working through an imperfect human vessel to do the perfect work of God.

Salvation is the act of dying to self and living for Christ. The Holy Spirit transforms you into a new creature operating with the values of Christ. He equips you with the gifts of the Holy Spirit to enable you to be a powerful witness for Jesus.

The work of God is based on the principle of binding and loosing. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. God will employ you in this enterprise regardless of your position in life.

The principle of binding is breaking the power of Satan through vigilant prayer and intercession. The Spirit labors inside you to bring down strongholds. You confront evil and execute the judgment of God.

You are also charged by God with loosing the Living Water to draw those around you to Jesus.

As a believer, you are a powerful light for God filled with the Holy Spirit. God desires for you to reflect His renown, praise and glory in all your words and actions. The Living Water is the authenticity of Christ and saves lives.

You also may be asked by God to do the work of evangelism or counsel others with the truths of God. You will be anointed and equipped to create powerful results.

The results of binding and loosing will carry over to heaven and you will be abundantly blessed by our magnificent God.

My will be done on earth as it is in Heaven is the purpose of a Christ follower. You are my anointed ambassador to bring light into darkness.
