Avarice deprives a believer of the fullness of Jesus!

For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.

God spoke to me last night about the dangers of avarice which is greed for the things of the world.

Greed is a compulsive emotion to acquire the possessions of the world. Greed takes your focus off God and on satisfying self.

Greed can never be satisfied; you will always want more.

The individual operating with greed does not trust God. He does not believe in the promises of Jesus such as “My God will supply your every need according to the riches of His glory in Christ”.

Greed comes from Satan. He wants to distract you from God and his ultimate purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy believers.

Greed will eventually destroy your relationships and bring many griefs.

The secret to avoiding greed or making impulsive decisions is to submit to the authority of the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Christ and dwells inside all believers. He knows you better than you know yourself. He is omniscient and sees every detail of your future. He desires to counsel and guide your spending patterns.

The efficacy of Christ comes to those who pray for their needs and desires but do not take action until they hear from God.

The Holy Spirit will tell you what to buy in His perfect timing. He will even surprise you by identifying things you will need that have never crossed your mind.

This spiritual discipline is based on walking by faith and trusting Jesus implicitly for your every need. There is no reason to worry or make hasty decisions because God desires to bless you.

Jesus is in control and you can concentrate on prayer, reading the Bible, and listening for His voice.

Many believers can’t grasp that Jesus wants to give you more than you ask or think. Wait on God by faith and He will reward you abundantly.

Backpedaling from Jesus is foolish!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Holy Spirit spoke to me about those who foolishly backpedal from Jesus and believe goodness comes by an individual’s effort.

All human beings were created in the image of God but you can never take credit for the goodness in your life. Whether you are a believer or not the goodness in your life is measured by Jesus. He can turn the faucet on or off.

You can falsely claim your personal efforts create goodness but Jesus controls your destiny. He can bless or curse. Jesus has power and dominion over the heavens and earth. Nothing is impossible for Him.

Jesus defines the standards of justice. They have nothing to do with the world.

Jesus looks at your heart condition. He knows who will become receptive to Him.

Jesus is omniscient and sees every detail of your future.

Jesus will forgive all your sin but He is looking for a contrite heart.

Jesus is a God of unconditional love. However, He will not tolerate the worship of false gods or idols.

Jesus knows who is a lost cause and will not strive with a human being in continual rebellion against God.

Jesus is not looking for someone to keep laws or do works. And, He abhors religion. He is not looking for people who believe they are morally healthy; He is looking for sinners who need a Savior.

Jesus simply wants you to come to Him. He desires to have a personal and symbiotic relationship with a believer. He wants you to walk by faith and seek His will for your life.

Apart from Me you can do nothing!

Jesus said if you put the fine wine in old wineskins they will split and all the wine will be lost. You must put the fine wine in new wineskins and then the wine will be preserved.

In this parable, the old wineskins are your natural life at birth. The new wineskins represent a born again believer sealed with the Holy Spirit.

The fine wine will spill out of the non believer because he is an unclean vessel. The new wine will transform the born again believer into the character of Jesus. He will be a powerful light for Jesus.

The significance of this parable is the waste of living for self and seeing the goodness of God seep out of your body and flow into ruins.

The demonic wisdom of the world or the spiritual values of Jesus!

The core of this teaching comes from James, Chapter three and deals with the hereditary nature of a human being. All mankind is born with an inner nature to defy God and live for self. The born again believer has the hereditary nature of Jesus and desires to live for Him.

If you are a Christ follower you cannot coexist with worldly thinking and the principles of Jesus. Satan is a liar and a deceiver. He entices believers to do things leading to destruction and death.

The wisdom of Jesus is deprived by those who are bitter with envy for what they lack and are seeking self satisfaction.

Boasting is a characteristic of living for self and is a lie against the values of Jesus. The source of boasting is earthly and demonic.

The Cross creates a new identity and the humility of Jesus. The born again believer has no need to boast because he is confident in the promises of the Jesus.

Boasting claims an individual can become successful through his own efforts and without the efficacy of God.

The self seeking individual operates with evil motives and lives under a cloud of confusion.

The Holy Spirit creates a fountain of wisdom in a believer. This wisdom comes by prayer, reading the Bible, and listening for the voice of God.

Walking with Jesus requires a believer to submit to the authority of the Holy Spirit. He will always lead a believer in the pathway of Jesus and can be trusted implicitly. He speaks for Jesus.

The wisdom of Jesus is pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, and full of mercy and good works. This wisdom is without partiality or hypocrisy.

The righteousness of God comes by faith and transforms believers into peacemakers. They make decisions leading to peace and attempt to eliminate conflict and disputes with others.

Jesus is not a past tense God!

The god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ. So he not only speaks what is false. He hides what is true.

This is about bringing the reality of Jesus into your life and understanding the evil tactics of the spirit of religion

The spirit of religion is a demon working for Satan. He is disguised as worker for God. The goal of the spirit of religion is to keep believers from knowing the Living Christ.

The spirit of religion convinces you to do the works of religion and keep laws. He does not want you to have anything to do with the Holy Spirit or attempt to know the Living Christ.

The spirit of religion does not want a believer to surrender to Jesus. He wants you to live in the non threatening comfort of religion.

The spirit of religion lies to believers and depicts Jesus as a historical figure who cannot be personally reached by a human being. He does not want you to hear the voice of God and asserts this is a fantasy of fanatical believers.

The spirit of religion whitewashes scripture to hide the Living Christ and to attract those with liberal views and false beliefs about Jesus.

The spirit of religion exhorts believers to devote their talents, money and energy into doing religious works. He promotes religion as a safe haven for the people of God.

The spirit of religion deceives believers with the lie that Satan is not a reality or a danger if you belong to Jesus.

The spirit of religion does not want you pray or make intercession for those in bondage to sin. The Cross will break the power of Satan and set people free.

Jesus is not a historical figure; He is alive and wants a personal and symbiotic relationship with a believer. He desires to speak to you and be present in every detail of your life.

Come to Jesus by faith and make a commitment to live for Him above all else. He is not looking for works or keeping laws.

Jesus wants you to get to know Him, understand His ways and live under the authority of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus wants a believer to seriously seek the will of God and learn to be obedient to His instructions.

Walk with the Living Christ and cast out the spirit of religion. He is terrified of Jesus!

The chivalry values of Christ!

For in Him, we live and move and have our being!

The Spirit of Christ spoke to me last night about how Jesus embodies the chivalry life.

Chivalry relates to the medieval values of knights. They exhibited the qualities of courage, honor, courtesy, justice, and a readiness to help the weak. They also esteemed and respected women.

The knights were required to keep the moral standards of their elite title by self discipline. This is virtually impossible for a human being. The Christ follower keeps the values of God by faith and through the transformation of the inner man.

Chivalry sounds like the exact qualities of Jesus. The salvation of Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit fills believers with the character of God.

We need supernatural courage to deal with the trials of life. Jesus never gave up even when facing death.

We must learn to honor and esteem all people in our life regardless of their values. Jesus was humble and cared about others above His own needs.

The chivalry believer is courteous to others regardless of the ethnic, religious or cultural divisions.

The chivalry believer appropriates the justice of God in all of his dealings in life. He does not abide by the standards of the world.

He is a doer of the word of God and reaches out to those in need. Like the good samaritan he helps the weak and downtrodden.

He respects and honors women. He responds with chivalry love and gentleness.

You and I can never be a chivalry individual without the work of Holy Spirit. He dwells in all believers and anoints you with the Spirit and power.

The “born again” believer seeks the will of God and walks in oneness with Jesus by faith.

The protection of Jesus for believers living in the world!

For the shields of the earth belong to God!

It is impossible to win in the world which is the antithesis of God. The world offers darkness and death.

Satan controls the world and His purpose is to steal, kill and destroy.

The world cannot make or keep promises for you.

The world is short lived and Jesus is eternal.

If you are a believer, Satan has assigned demons to harass and deceive you. You are in the middle of an invisible war between light and darkness.

The efficacy of Jesus is a promise to protect you at all times. This doesn’t mean you can avoid trials or calamities but you can be confident Jesus will deliver you from harm.

The protection of Jesus will come by your unyielding faith in the promises of Jesus. The Christ follower walks by faith not by what he sees with his eyes.

The protection of Jesus is nurtured by prayer, reading the Bible and listening for the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is omniscient and sees every detail of your future. He wants to protect you from evil. This happens through the Holy Spirit who is sealed in all believers. It is vital for a believer to submit to the authority of the Holy Spirit. He is your lifeline to the Living Christ.

The Holy Spirit will lead you beside still waters and make you lie down in green pastures.

Jesus offers supernatural peace which cannot be found in the world.

Jesus asks you to cease from striving and rest in Him while He fights your battles for you.

The Living Christ is a reality and desires a personal and symbolic relationship with a believer. He is your only hope for an abundant life on the earth!

Choosing life through the remnant of Christ!

Jesus died so all believers can be cleansed of sin by the blood of the Cross and transformed into the character of God. And, the gift of salvation allows a believer to live forever with Jesus.

Unfortunately, many believers have a lackadaisical attitude about the Cross and do not take Jesus seriously. They tend to concentrate on taking from Jesus and doing works instead of walking in oneness with the Living Christ. They become deceived by the demonic spirit of religion and trade the importance of knowing Jesus for keeping laws and doing works.

This is how you can overcome the world and become a member of the powerful and everlasting remnant of Christ. The teaching comes from Zephaniah, Chapter three.

God promises to purify the lips of His people. They will worship the Lord and serve Him in a personal and symbolic relationship. Pray all your words will be edifying to Jesus.

They will bring offerings of joy and praise to God. This takes place when a believer meets the transfigured Christ and sees the futility of trying to live without God.

The Body of Christ will no longer be put to shame for their sins against God. The Lord will remove the arrogant and prideful people and there will be holiness in His kingdom.

God will seek out the meek and humble and they will trust God implicitly.

The remnant will not lie, do wrong or speak deceitful words because they will be yielding to the authority of the Holy Spirit.

God will supply food, necessities and rest for the remnant of Christ.

The remnant will walk with Jesus by faith under the authority of the Holy Spirit.

Now is the time. Come to Jesus and He will make you into a new creature and give you the ability to live in the presence of our powerful God! There is no one like Him!

The purifying power of Jesus through the blood of the Cross!

The Holy Spirit spoke to me last night about the cleansing of the Body of Christ and the coming judgments of Jesus through the wisdom of Zechariah the prophet in Chapter 13.

The judgments of God refer to the span of time from Zechariah to Christ. God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Jesus does not want miscreants; He wants loyal and obedient believers filled with the character of God. Like Sodom and Gomorrah He plans to rid the Body of Christ of the cloud of darkness.

God has opened a fountain of Living Water through Jesus for the cleansing of sins and destruction of idols. This happened with the death of Jesus on the Cross. He will also banish the corrupt prophets and unclean spirits from the lands. This will probably take place in the Millennium rule of Christ.

There were many false prophets in the time of Zechariah. God told Zechariah that He would destroy and dishonor all of them. Likewise there are many false teachers today and they will also be disposed of by God.

The false prophets will be ashamed of their visions which deceive believers. They will confess they are not of God or anointed by His Spirit. They will admit they are ordinary people who have been wounded by God for their transgressions.

Jesus, the Son of God, was sacrificed by his Father who is His closest companion.

The judgments of God will be cruel and harsh and no one will be immune.

The Shepard will be struck down and the sheep will be scattered. The little ones will not be saved from the vengeance of God.

Turn to Jesus. Do not become an endangered species!

The judgments will kill two thirds of the world’s population. The remaining one third will be severely tested with the fires of God. They will be refined like pure silver. They will call upon the name of Jesus and He will say these are My people and the people of God will respond “The Lord is my God”.

Now is the time to get right with God through the blood of Christ. Come to Jesus by faith and walk in oneness with Him under the authority of the Holy Spirit.

The judgments of Jesus on the wasteland of Christianity!

Therefore because of you Zion shall be plowed like a field, Jerusalem shall become heaps of ruins, and the mountain of the temple like the bare hills of the forest.

The Holy Spirit spoke to me last night about the wasteland of Christianity. This teaching comes from Micah chapter three.

This is not a pretty picture for the future of Christianity. This is happening because of corrupt leaders who are causing believers to stray away from the values of Jesus.

There is a lack of seeking the justice of God. The leaders view goodness as doing works and camouflage evil as turning away from religion.

The nemesis is religion which wants to harness a believer into laws, works and religious control.

The truths of God have been perverted by leaders who want to satisfy their own desires. They mostly operate with impure motives.

The crux of this conflict relates to the purpose of Jesus in the life of a believer. The church is not the focal point in the heart of God.

Jesus wants to build a personal and symbiotic relationship with a believer. Jesus wants a believer to walk by faith in oneness with Him. Jesus wants a believer to let go of worldly ties and seek His will above all else. Jesus wants believers to listen for His voice and respond with complicity to His requests.

Jesus thinks and acts different than a human being. He wants to teach you His values and how to live under the authority of the Holy Spirit. This is another conflict with Christianity. The leaders want to minimize the influence of the Holy Spirit and bring you under the control of religion. The Holy Spirit is a threat because He replaces the need for teachers in the church and always gives glory and praise to Jesus.

Jesus hates the whitewashing of the truths of God in the Body of Christ. This happens to make Christianity more welcoming and consistent with the changing moral and cultural views of society. God never changes and His word cannot be amended.

The Spirit of God is at work to dishevel and bring terrifyingly judgment upon the false leaders and prophets in the Church. They shall live in darkness without vision. They will be ashamed for they will not hear from God.

Christianity has a hand out for money. Many times this money is spent for the benefit of the leaders and illegitimate causes. Jesus abhors the pressure put upon believers to give and the selfish motives concerning the handling of money.

Christianity promotes the importance of a church and not the Living Christ. They claim God only works through a church organization. This is an aberration. Jesus did not work through the religious establishment while on earth. He confronted the leaders over their hypocrisy and unclean motives.

Turing ashes into beauty!

The churches promote peace while God speaks anarchy and retribution.

The future of Christianity is a heap of ruins and will be replaced by the authenticity of Christ alive in the remnant of a New Testament church.

Whether a believer or not you are polar opposite of Jesus!

The Holy Spirit spoke the words in the title of this blog to me last night.

The starting point in a relationship with Jesus is acknowledging your standing with Him.

Jesus is perfect. He has no ego. He is the only person in the history of mankind that perfectly obeyed all the Ten Commandments.

As human beings we are self driven people who think first about our needs and desires. We can never match up to the standards of God.

The blood of Christ is your only hope to live a life pleasing to Jesus. Ask Jesus every day to cover you with His blood and reveal any darkness blocking you from the fullness of His life.

Last night God also brought up these words of Jesus; “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” Jesus fasted forty days in the wilderness and was hungry. He was tempted by Satan to turn rocks into bread.

The lesson in this story is to pray for your needs but learn to wait upon Jesus for His perfect timing and response to your prayer. Jesus does not think or act like you so He might meet your needs in an unworldly fashion.

The mystery hidden in God for many years is all things were created through Christ Jesus. He is the mirror image of God. No one can come to God except through Jesus.

All the principalities and powers in the heavenly places understand the eternal purpose of Jesus. He is above all things and can destroy evil in a split second.

The name of Jesus will terrify Satan and his legion of demons and cause them to flee from a believer. Do not be afraid to speak directly to Satan with the words of Jesus.

Jesus is very approachable. He wants to have a personal and symbolic relationship with a believer. Come to Jesus by faith. The Cross gives you boldness and access to Jesus with confidence in His promises.

Jesus offers supernatural strength to all believers to meet every challenge in life. This is a free gift administered by the Holy Spirit. Ask and you shall receive!

The Holy Spirit is the life of Jesus and is sealed in all believers. Learn to develop a consciousness with the Spirit and submit to His authority. This will bring the reality of the Living Christ into every moment of your life. He lives so you can live.

Love is the defining element in a relationship with Jesus. The love for Jesus is not an emotion; it is a genuine desire to be obedient to God and fulfill His mission in your life.

As a believer you are rooted and grounded in the unconditional love of Jesus. This love is generous and protective. The love of Jesus surpasses all knowledge and fills you with the fullness of God.

Fellowship with Jesus is about prayer, reading the Bible, and listening for His voice. Walk by faith believing in the promises of God and not what you see with your eyes. God calls things that do not exist as if they did.

This promise is emblematic of the love of Jesus for His people.

Now to Jesus who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
