“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God.” Hebrews 10:31
Walking with Christ is not easy. You and I are accountable to Jesus for our every action. And, God gets our attention through the trials of life.
Be still and know that I am God!
Many times the adversity comes at the hand of God and is not provoked by your actions. As a believer, God has one single minded goal in your life. He wants you to live by faith without fear or doubt when the storm clouds come into your life.
Faith is believing and living in the promises of God when your life is falling apart.
Faith is seeking God out for your every need. Most believers have a tendency to stray away from God when troubles come their way. They blame God for failing them when His ways are perfect.
You have been baptized into the death and resurrected life of Christ. Don’t be surprised when adversity comes into your life. It is ordained by God just like the pandemic we are all dealing with today.
The afflictions in your life are a mirror image of what Jesus faced living on this earth. You can become an overcomer by drawing upon the resurrected life of Christ.
Here is how you can you deal with the adversities of life and live at peace with God?
Praise God at all times.
Ask Jesus to cover you with His blood.
Come to God with an open heart to the conviction of the Spirit of Christ.
Pray diligently seeking His counsel for your life.
Meditate on the truths of God.
Forgive God for His actions which seem unjust and forgive those who have hurt you. If you don’t forgive God will not forgive you.
Listen for the voice of God.
Ask for the unlimited strength of Christ.
Remember, the battle is not yours. It belongs to the Lord. Cast your burdens upon the Lord and He will sustain you with His life.
Rest in the work of Christ and cease from striving.
All things work for the good for those who love God and are called according to His purposes. This does not mean that all things are good in your life but God takes your sin and the adversities of life to create His character within you.
Where sin abounds grace abounds more. This is the nature of our loving and compassionate God.
He lives so you can live even in the most dire moments of life!
The definition of hallucinate is to perceive something that is not actually present. Last night God spoke to me about believers “who try to make Me into something that is not really Me.”
I AM who I AM! There is no one like Me.
This misconception about God has many influences in believers.
Walking with Christ is a life of faith. You reach out to Jesus for your every need believing in the promises of God. Without faith you cannot please God.
Jesus is controversial and at times will act in a radical manner in your life.
Jesus is not predictable. He does not operate with the logic of the world.
Jesus has no ego but we are self driven people and can never match up to the standards of God.
Jesus hates religion. It suffocates a believer with the burden of keeping laws, doing works, and it creates an obligation to religious duties.
Jesus is a God of retribution. He blesses and He curses.
The severe judgment of God is at work today in our world. He is angry over the lack of respect for who He is and our improprieties against His ways
As a believer you will experience suffering and pain. This is because you have been crucified into the death of Christ Jesus.
The Christ follower will experience different seasons with God. There will be times of prosperity and times of deprivation. There will be seasons of ministry and seasons of work and family. There will be times of isolation and times of public acclaim.
You cannot encounter the Living Christ through emotions or experiences. You will find Christ through His Word and listening for His voice.
Jesus will test you to the ends of the earth. Many times this will make no sense to you. The purpose of testing is to build your loyalty to God in times of adversity.
Jesus has given you the Holy Spirit which is the life of Christ. He lives in you and is the source of strength, wisdom, joy, and protection. You walk in oneness with God anchored to the Holy Spirit. There is no other way.
Jesus speaks to believers. You have the mind of Christ; “Be still and know that I am God”.
The gift of salvation is living in the moment with God. He wants to be involved in every aspect of your life. Invite the Holy Spirit to have authority over your life. This will bring the Living Christ into your reality. You will see God for who He is!
There is this sense of a burden to do things for God in many believers. The truth is you cannot do anything for God. He has done the work for you. Learn to rest in God and cease from striving. It is not by might nor by power but by My Spirit.
The character of God is best defined as “Yours, Lord is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. For everything in the heavens and the earth is yours. Yours, Lord is the kingdom; you are exalted as the head over all.”
“But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?” Galatians 4:9
Christ Jesus offers you freedom from suffering under the bondage of religion!
My namesake offers you the freedom to be the person I created without the boundaries of religion.
Coming to Christ is a heart transaction to live for Him by faith. There are no rules or rituals required. Jesus died to abolish religion and set you free to worship Him in Spirit and Truth.
The gift of salvation can never be earned or justified through self efforts. It is an expression of the love of God.
Salvation is not a duty or obligation to please God through laws, religious activities, or works. He wants your heart and willingness to obey Him.
The weak and beggarly elements in the scripture above refer to building a relationship with Jesus through compliance to laws or religious duties. You will never find the Living Christ with this approach. Jesus does not live in religion; He lives in your heart.
Religion will corrupt you but the Spirit of Christ will allow you to see the transfigured Christ and walk with Him in all the moments of your life.
The reality of salvation is living in oneness with Jesus anchored to the Holy Spirit and experiencing His life.
Jesus offers you supernatural characteristics not available in the world. He emptied His life on the Cross so you can have His strength, wisdom, joy, and protection. He wants to give you an abundant life that originates in heaven and never ends.
Jesus wants to instill His values in your life and transform you into a fountain of Living Water touching those around you.
Walk with Jesus by faith reaching out to Him for your every need. This will please the heart of God and your world will never be the same.
You will see the Living Christ for who He is and know in the deepest part of your heart that He is your only hope for life.
Look no further! Keep your eyes on Me and do not become distracted by the ways of the world.
The world is tumultuous but I never change. Come to Me by faith and I will fill you with supernatural strength, wisdom, and peace. I live so you can live!
The world will destroy you but I will deliver you.
I think and act differently than you. My ways are perfect.
You can understand Me through My Word and listening for My voice.
Walk by faith reaching out to Me for your every need.
The conditions in your life today are My work. I am the beginning and the end of all things. Without Me you can do nothing.
Religion will suffocate you but I will fill you with Living Water.
You cannot see what I am doing in your life. I am molding you into My character.
I test all those who call upon My name. I examine your every thought and decision looking at your motives.
My indelible Spirit lives inside you. He is your comforter, protector, and speaks for Me. Invite the Holy Spirit to have authority over your life and you will see My reality working through every aspect of your being.
“And have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him.” Colossians 3:10
God created you in His image but you do not belong to Him until you make a decision to live for Christ Jesus.
I alone am God and there is no one like Me!
At the moment you make this commitment, God transforms you into a new creature in Christ Jesus. And, He begins to renew you in the knowledge of Christ Jesus. He creates His life in you and fills you with the values of Christ.
As a new creature in Christ Jesus you are sealed with the Holy Spirit. This is the life of Christ.
At this point you have to make a decision to live as a new creature in Christ or revert back to the person you were at birth. This dilemma is about choosing to live for self or live under the authority of Christ.
This conflict goes on every moment of your life. You and I are like a yoyo changing back and forth between two different personalities.
The Holy Spirit is the only way you can keep on track with God. It requires vigilant prayer and the discipline of living in consciousness with the voice of Christ.
Jesus is alive in you and wants to be your best friend and advocate. He wants to protect you, keep you away from evil, and give you an abundant life.
Walk with Jesus anchored to His Spirit and He will deliver you from all the perils of the world. He wants to give you more than you ask or think!
Jesus is above all things, through all things, and in all things.
