“The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times. You shall keep them, O Lord, You shall preserve them from this generation forever.” Psalm 12:6-7
Good Morning,
Today God told me “I am a forthright God and I keep My promises.”
The promises of God are those written in scripture and those spoken directly to you from the Holy Spirit.
Some spiritual truths about the promises of God:
God tends to be oblivious to timelines. The promises might become reality today, next week, or in forty years.
God will test you through His promises. He will tell you something about the future or direct you to take some action and nothing happens. This is the character of God.
The purpose of the testing is to determine your allegiance to God and your faith in Christ who has power and dominion over the heavens and earth.
Sometimes God will speak words to you that are impossible to understand or relate to your life. Don’t try to connect the dots. God will bring comprehension in His perfect timing.
Just listen and accept God’s words. Develop a permissive attitude allowing God to speak whatever is on His mind. Who are you to question God?
God doesn’t think like you. This why He is God!
All the promises of God in Christ are yes and amen!
“You have to make a decision to accept all of Me if you want to share in My treasures. There is no shortcut.”
“I am the way, the truth and the life.” John 14:6
The word from God for today is find your security in Christ. He is your only hope for life.
The judgments of God have created havoc in the world.
It is impossible to find a safe haven.
Your security has been stripped away.
Satan is attacking the people of God.
Life is unwieldy and uncertain.
All of this has happened to cause you to reexamine your priorities in life.
The Living Christ is your only hope for protection and security.
The Cross is not a symbol. It is a living reality.
The gift of salvation offers you the Living Christ every moment of your life.
Open your heart up to God without limitations. Come live with Jesus by faith.
Rest in the works of Christ. Seek your refuge in the strength, wisdom, and peace of God.
The eyes of God see everything. He examines your motives and lifestyle.
God chooses to bless or curse. There is no middle ground.
Now is the time to reckon yourself dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. God is holy and will not honor those living in immorality.
Seek out the wisdom of God for your life through vibrant prayer, study of the Word, and live in oneness with Christ anchored to the Holy Spirit. Be open to the voice of God!
You cannot change the will of Christ. You must submit to Him!
Christ wants your loyalty not your works.
Loyalty to Christ is living by faith not by what you see with your eyes.
Christ knows you better than you know yourself. Seek out the discretion of Christ for your life.
The treasures of Christ come by your devotion to God and living by faith trusting in the promises of God.
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:5-6
Jesus is a God of reclamation. The definition of reclamation is the process of claiming something back.
The purpose of Christ is to reclaim a lost life. He takes a lost and broken human being and repurchases his life with the blood of Christ.
Jesus takes you as an unworthy person, with a corrupt inner being and separated from the presence of God. He forgives all your sins and places His Spirit to live in you every day of your life.
The message of Christ is forgiveness for sins which is a process you and I need every moment of our life.
He creates a new person in Christ Jesus. You become baptized into the death and resurrected life of Christ.
You go from a vapor trail to living forever with Christ.
Christ shares His life with you. He fills you with strength, wisdom, peace, and joy. You cannot find these characteristics in the world. They come from heaven.
You inherit all the promises of God in Christ.
Christ offers protection from evil with His omniscient eyes, the power of the Holy Spirit, and through His ministering spirits.
Christ holds the stars in place by His Word. He is omnipotent. No one can compare to Him. He will gladly share this power with you.
Christ never changes. His Word endures forever.
Christ keeps all His promises. You can never find this guarantee in the world.
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8
The word from God today is vigilant which means to be alert or watchful for difficulties or troubles.
In the context of a believer, this is looking at life through the eyes of Jesus. It is a sense of having a sound mind filled with the truths of Christ.
God is omniscient and sees all. He knows your future. Seek Him out for wisdom and protection.
You and I are living in a whirlwind of the judgment of God. He is very angry over those living in immorality and all who deny Him.
He despises religion which is filled with hypocrisy and leads people astray from Christ.
Satan is at work today to destroy you. He is a deceiver and is always looking for ways to lure you away from God and into sin.
The voice of God is to reckon yourself dead to sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.
Walk away from darkness and into the light of Christ.
Recognize your salvation is more important than ever before.
Pray that God will be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your pathway.
When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. Luke 19:5-6
The Word of God for today is a question. “How do you respond to the voice of Christ?
This story exemplifies the character of Jesus in dealing with sinners and the outcasts of society.
Zacchaeus was a rich man and an unethical tax collector.
He was very curious about Jesus and came to see Him.
Zacchaeus was short and could not see Jesus because of the crowd. So he climbed a tree to get a better view of Jesus.
Jesus saw Zacchaeus and told him to climb down the tree. He told Zacchaeus he wanted to spend the night in his house.
Zacchaeus came down from the tree quickly and welcomed him with a glad heart.
Here are some insights from the Holy Spirit about this encounter:
The moment of truth occurs when you hear the voice of Jesus. You have an option to respond with either a yes or a no.
For many the moment is just not convenient. There are too many worldly concerns and distractions.
Zacchaeus made the right decision. He repented of his sins and decided to live for Jesus. He also made a decision to share his wealth with others.
Jesus chose Zacchaeus out of all the people in the crowd because he was willing to change and responded with an open heart to Jesus.
The call of Jesus is without prejudice. It is very simply go and sin no more.
If you choose religion over Jesus you forfeit your rights and become enslaved to laws and works.
Come to Jesus by faith and you will become a son of Abraham and live in the freedom of the Cross.
Jesus came to seek out the lost with an invitation to receive the gift of salvation.
Jesus has no interest with those who are self righteous and live by a code of conduct. He identifies with people like Zacchaeus.
The decision for Christ comes by faith and is free of religion.
You agree to live for Christ and walk in oneness with Him through the Holy Spirit.
“Whoever would love life
and see good days
must keep their tongue from evil
and their lips from deceitful speech.
They must turn from evil and do good;
they must seek peace and pursue it.” 1 Peter 3:10-11
The Word of God for today is an admonition concerning how to enjoy an abundant life and experience many good days.
The commands of God are to speak pure words void of evil and deceit, turn away from evil and do good, and seek peace and pursue it.
The only way you and I can keep these precepts of God is to accept your inner nature is weak and can never comply with these desires of God.
You have to look outside of yourself for the ability to please God.
The solution is to turn to Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit. As a believer, the Holy Spirit dwells inside you. He is the life of Christ. This life is pure and without sin.
Walk with God through the Holy Spirit. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus will set you free from the law of sin and death.
These two laws are eternal and will never change. The conflict for humans is we waver between both laws.
The decision you and I have to make every moment of life is to live under the authority of the Holy Spirit or to live for self. This is a decision between life or death.
You cannot compromise God. This is why there is a worldwide pandemic.
Live under the authority of the Holy Spirit and you will find the blessings of Christ.
