Jesus doesn’t hide in the Bible!

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.” John 5:39-40

The Holy Spirit spoke to me today about the “impertinent” attitude towards Jesus. We do not respect Jesus and tend to treat Him rudely. This attitude exists throughout the world and specifically in the Body of Christ. Impertinence is the act of denying the fullness of Christ Jesus.

img_0847

If you don’t respect God it is because you do not understand who He is or what He has done for you. He is a God of greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty. He has power and dominion over all things and your destiny is in His hands.

The religious leaders in the time of Jesus ridiculed Him and paid no attention to His claims to be one with His Father.

Jesus challenged them and said you can search the scriptures endlessly but they will not give you eternal life. The scriptures testify of the Living Jesus who is the way, the truth, and the life.

Jesus does not hide in the Bible. He is alive and at work today. You have to abandon yourself completely to Him and walk by faith living in His promises.

The misconception in Christianity is you have to prove yourself to God through good works. This attitude is disrespectful for what Jesus did on the cross.

The works of God were completed on the cross. Your faith in God and the power of the Holy Spirit will be the catalyst for your works. It is the life of Jesus working through you who will accomplish His purposes. And, all the glory will go to the Son of God!

Most believers prefer to honor God through religion and works. This is a safe practice and will probably not threaten your lifestyle. However, you will be like the person standing on the sidelines watching the signs and wonders of our majestic God.

Come to the Living God today and you will be a player and not a spectator in the kingdom of God! He lives so you can live!

.

Just when you think you know God!

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8

Your relationship with God at the start becomes close and personal as He teaches you about Himself. You find predictability in your worship and walk with God.

Then the inexplicable nature of God comes upon your life and nothing makes sense. This happens to teach you He is God and will do with you as He pleases.

IMG_0846

God can choose to be controversial and upset your life with new challenges. The point of this action is to train you to live by faith and rely on God for your every need. Most believers talk about faith but fail to live out their life trusting God.

Jesus came to give you an abundant life however you can only find this life by believing and living in the promises of God.

So when the inexplicable happens to you, don’t try to figure it out. God is perfect and He never changes. You and I have to change and accept God for who He is and live with Him through the whirlwinds of life.

The purpose of God is to deal with the depth of your personality and expose your inner being. You have to see yourself for who you are and then the refining hand of God can create a beautiful and new creature in Christ Jesus.

The pain can be heartbreaking but stay on course with God and He will sing songs of deliverance into your life.

There is no one like Him!

A New Year’s resolution to God!

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

The best resolution you can make to God in this new year is to walk by unyielding faith with your Creator. Everything about God begins with faith. Faith is believing wholeheartedly in the promises of God and never evaluating God on what you see with your eyes.

IMG_0845

Faith is living by the words of David; “My help comes from the Lord who created the heavens and earth.” Faith is finding your sustenance in God for your every need.

The wind of judgment will be blowing strongly against our country this coming year. We do not fear or respect God and will be punished for our apathy towards the Lord of Hosts.

Faith is believing God calls things that don’t exist as if they did. Don’t buy into the lies of the world. Your only hope is in the compassion and mercies of God. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

God wants to give you more than you ask or think but He works on the principle of faith. You have to seek God first with all your heart and then all the other things will be added to you.

Faith is an expression of living moment by moment with the Living God. Faith is believing God will do for you what you can never achieve on your own.

He lives so you can live!

Hearing God when there is no God!

You have answered Me.” Psalm 22:21

David speaks out in Psalm 22 about his life and how he has been forgotten by God.

IMG_0844

He is despised by many, his life is threatened, he is weak and barely stumbling through life. David feels like he is close to death.

David cries out to a silent God but in the middle of this Psalm he says “You have answered me.”

How can this be explained? I believe David heard the voice of God reassuring him of the promises made to him and reaffirming to David that God would deliver him from all his troubles.

You can also interpret this as David heard God through His Word in scriptures. This is unlikely because David was powerfully anointed with the Spirit of God and the Psalms were written by the Spirit of God working through David.

No human being could have composed the Psalms without the voice of God speaking through the mind of the author.

The point of this Psalm is to reach out to God when you are in misery or suffering and God seems non existent. You will hear an answer from God. It is a promise that cannot be broken.

You may not be able to see God through your circumstances and He may choose to act aloof and not interested in your troubles but He is God and He will never leave you.

Seek God out and He will answer you. He keeps His Word!

The bedrock of Christianity!

For in Him we live and move and have our being.” Acts 17:28

Recently, I have compiled several life changing truths relating to the bedrock of Christianity. They have come to me through the Spirit of God at all times of the day and night.

IMG_0838

Walk with God by faith believing in His promises. Never judge God by your circumstances.

Accept you have been “sold under sin” with no way out.

Understand the hopelessness of your inner condition and you can never live up to the standards of God.

Justification with God is through the cross, there is no other way. You have to be willing to die to self and live for God!

Live in oneness with God through the Holy Spirit.

Faith in your Creator will precede your works.

Your works for God will come out of your relationship with Him. God is the author and finisher of your works. There is no striving as He will go before you!

When you think about works, think about obedience to the voice of God.

The richness of the Old Testament is alive today. You can find it through the person of the Holy Spirit and experience the signs and wonders of our majestic God.

The only way you can overcome sin is living by “The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.” Jesus lives in you.

Come to God with an open heart and you will see His majesty and He will take you to the Mount of Transfiguration. There is no one like Him!

Santa Claus is fiction but Jesus is the real deal!

I am the way, the truth, and the life.” John 10:10

Don’t look for the baby in the manger at Christmas. Come to the Living God and He will make His home inside you.

Jesus is standing at your door knocking. If you open the door He will enter and dine with you and you with Him. Jesus will fill you with Living Water and you will lack for nothing.

IMG_0843

Most believers keep Jesus at an arms distance. They sample but do not partake in the fullness of the Living Jesus. Give yourself over to Jesus and you will experience the transfigured life.

Jesus has power and dominion over the heavens and earth. He is a God of greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty. There is no one like Him. You do not have to be afraid of “letting go” and offering yourself as a living sacrifice to Jesus.

Believers tend to hold back from Jesus and try to preserve what they perceive as important in their lives. The misconception in this belief is you are only depriving yourself of the goodness of God. You will eventually lose everything and seriously regret the years you wasted trying to protect your earthly treasures.

Develop the mind set that Jesus wants to give you more than you ask or think! Draw near to Jesus and He will draw near to you. Merry Christmas!

The magnanimous nature of the Christ Child!

I am generous to your every fault and My glory lives on forever!

Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.” Psalm 32:1

The definition of magnanimous is very generous and forgiving. This is the nature of the heart of God. He forgives your sin and is very generous in sharing Himself with you. Jesus desires to give you more than you ask or think.

IMG_0842

Jesus epitomized the act of generosity and sacrificed His life so you could live in oneness with Him forever. Jesus did not leave anything on the cross. He gave all of Himself so you could have life and have it more abundantly.

Delight yourself in the way of the Lord and He will bless the desires of your heart. The generosity of God pours out on those who seek Him with all of their heart.

The call of God is very simple. Turn away from evil and do good. Seek peace and pursue it. You can only accomplish this by walking with Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

Do not live by the values of the world. The world does not know Jesus. Build your foundation on the Word of the Living God. The more you “let go” the more you will receive from Jesus.

Ask God to be your hiding place. He will protect you from trouble and surround you with songs of deliverance. He is your only hope for life!

Humble yourself before the Lord and He will fill you with His goodness and glory! He is a generous God and will do for you what you can never do for yourself!

The fullness of the gift of Christmas!

Come live with Me by faith and I will share My greatness and glory with you. My life is your Christmas gift!

“For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” Colossians 2:9-10

Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead—Father God, the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. He is the head of every principality and power in the universe. There is no greater power than Christ Jesus.

You are complete in Him and lack nothing. How do you reconcile this with the reality of your life. You and I are not complete and fall short of the holy standards of God.

You become complete when you live in oneness with Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit. The life of Jesus dwells in you and He wants you to abide in Him. This is where you find completeness.

Invite the Holy Spirit to live in every aspect of your life and you will experience the greatness and glory of God.

God does not restrain His life from you. Sin restricts the fullness of God. You have to live moment by moment in the work of the cross to experience the salvation of God. Come to God confessing your sins and seeking repentance. Live in the blood of Jesus.

IMG_0840

Draw upon the life of Jesus to fulfill your every need. Remember, Jesus has power and dominion over all things. He is your sanctuary against the evils of the world.

Jesus died to give you His resurrected power. This is where you find your source of strength, healing, and protection. Ask Jesus by faith and He will gladly share His life with you.

He who lives in you is greater than he who lives in the world. You can do all things through Christ Jesus. He lives so you can live!

The freedom in Christmas!

Religion wants to control you. I want to set you free!

“Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 5:20-21

Organized religion has attempted to legislate the gift of Christmas. Jesus comes with a host of requirements. You have to keep laws and do works for God. The freedom of Jesus has been lost as you are taught to walk towards God through a matrix of laws and religious practices.

If you attempt to approach God through laws (old covenant), you will fall into condemnation because you cannot live up to the holy standards of God. The law is perfect and reflects the heart of God. However, there is no mercy or compassion in the law and the law will not change to accept your human frailties.

The purpose of the law is to convict you of sin and demonstrate you can never live with God through laws. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Jesus cannot be controlled or defined through laws. He came to set you free! This is the miracle of Christmas. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He has destroyed the laws and calls you to live with Him by faith. He is merciful and compassionate and died for your sins.

IMG_0836

Accept Jesus by faith and He gives you the gift of eternal life. This life comes to live in you in the essence of the Holy Spirit and is your only hope to find the righteousness of God.

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus will set you free from the law of sin and death. Abide in the Holy Spirit and you can live a life pleasing to God. There is no other way!

Jesus is a gift from God and can only be accepted by faith. He wants you to live free of restrictions and experience an abundant and prosperous life.

Christmas begins in your heart!

The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,
To the one who seeks him; It is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:25-26

How can you experience the fullness of Christmas?

You have to open up your heart to God and come to Him unconditionally. Set aside the ways of the world and tell God you want to live for Him. Pray this with a sincere and genuine heart and you will find Christmas.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Invite God to live in every aspect of your life. Come to God with praise, prayer, and live in His Word. Walk in oneness with your Creator through His indwelling Spirit.

Meet the Living God and He will give you a deep thirst for Him which can never be satisfied by the things of the world. Your inner being will cry out for more of God.

Live in the Word and place all your hope in the promises of God. Walk by faith understanding God calls things that don’t exist as if they did.

God will never let you live on the Mount of Transfiguration. Jesus will take you there for a few moments to show you He is the fullness of the Godhead and there is no one like Him.

Then you have to go out into the world and proclaim His truths to those around you. You become a light shining in the darkness and the Living Water flows out of you.

IMG_0835
If you want to celebrate the fullness of Christmas your motives have to be to please Me above all else and to live in obedience to My voice! I desire to give you more than you ask or think! Make this your best Christmas ever and rejoice in My greatness and glory!
