Think of your decision for Jesus as a privilege to enter the kingdom of God. You become a partaker of the divine nature of God!
“Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, And you will delight in the richest of fare.” Isaiah 55:2
Isaiah, the prophet, lived approximately seven hundred years before the birth of Jesus but God spoke to Him about delighting yourself in the bread of life and setting your priority on God.
You and I spend lots of money on things for self gratification and we labor long hours to earn money to meet our needs. Unfortunately, these activities will not satisfy your inner soul or bring the favor of God.
There is a deep thirst for God living in you and nothing will quench this thirst except for Jesus, the Son of God.
Jesus responded to Satan and told him “Man should not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” This is all about establishing priorities. God wants you to live for Him and Satan wants you to live for self.
The responsibility is on you to make a genuine and serious commitment to God. He will never do it for you or strive with your spirit of independence or rebellion. You have to come to God of your own free will and make a decision to live for Him.
God wants you to enjoy the richness of life and He wants to bless your work but the priority has to be placing God first in your life and walking with Him by faith. You do this by committing your works each day to God and asking for Him to fill you with wisdom and guide your footsteps.
You also have to spend time each day with God in prayer and praise Him for His characteristics of greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty. There is no one like Him!
Fill yourself with the Word of God. It is alive and powerful and will nourish you with the truths of God. The Word has a powerful transforming ability and will renew your mind to think like God.
God is alive and His Spirit dwells in you. Learn to be still and listen for the voice of God. He wants to speak to you and live in oneness with you.
God desires to give you a prosperous life but it has to begin with your devotion and loyalty to Him. You can’t play both sides of the street and expect to get very far with God. He wants all of you!
Think of your decision for Jesus as a privilege to enter the kingdom of God and become a member of the “set apart” people of God. As a new creature in Christ Jesus you will be a partaker of the divine nature of God.
You become an heir to God and have an eternal inheritance. He lives in you forever!
