When all else fails, turn to the Living God!

What are mere mortals that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them?
Yet you made them only a little lower than God
and crowned them with glory and honor.
You gave them charge of everything you made,
putting all things under their authority.” Psalm 8:4-6

When you are at the end of your rope and life seems hopeless, there is a loving and caring God waiting to lift you out of your desperation and deliver you.

God created you in His image and cares deeply about you. He thinks about you every moment of your life and watches over you at all times. You can live miles apart from God but He is always near you. Where your sin abounds His love is greater. He desires to cover your sins with His blood and restore you to Himself.

God crowned you with His glory and honor and commanded you to be fruitful and multiply. He gave you His authority over all creation.

God desires to give you an abundant life and bless you with more than you ask or think.

Reach out to God today and He will do for you what you cannot do for yourself. How great is our God!

“I am standing at your front door knocking. Open your door and I will come into your life and fill you with My greatness and glory. Nothing is impossible for Me. I live so you can live.”

Save me O God!

But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favored them.” Psalm 44:4

How do you gain the favor of God?

The favor of God will fall upon you when you make a heart transaction with almighty God. You give up the right to yourself and agree to live for God.

IMG_0722
The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear!

You have to let go completely and live by faith in the Son of God. When you make this transaction you will meet the Living God and your life will never be the same.

You will understand the greatness of God and the futility of living without Him. You will learn to wait on God and live by this spiritual principle; “It is not by might nor by power but by My Spirit.”

You will gain the favor of God through your devotion and loyalty to Him. You will trust God for your every need and seek Him out through prayer, praise, and living in His Word.

You will walk with God in oneness with the Holy Spirit and learn to “Be still and know that I am God.”

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

Salvation is of the Lord! Without Me you can do nothing. Place your hope in My greatness and glory and stand still and watch Me do for you what you can never do for yourself! Come to Me by faith and I will restore you to Myself. I am above all things.”

You can’t please God with your works!

Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.” Romans 4:12

This is one of the most important precepts in the Bible concerning your relationship with God. Your works will not bring the grace of God. The grace of God will come to you through your faith in the Son of God and your obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

IMG_0740
Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, And saw My works forty years.

You are justified to God by faith not by works. The premise that good works will entitle you to the blessings of God is false and misleading.

Salvation cannot be earned. It is a gift from God and comes to you by faith in Jesus Christ. Faith is living one day at a time trusting God for your every need. You walk by faith not by sight believing God calls things that don’t exist as if they did.

Abraham became the father of many nations because He heard the voice of God and was obedient. He was justified by faith and not by his works.

You will never be judged by your righteousness. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. You will please God by your unwavering faith in His promises regardless of the circumstances in your life.

Learn to start trusting almighty God for your every need and remember He is not obligated to do anything for you based on your works. Without faith it is impossible to please God!

“Come to Me by faith with praise and thanksgiving for who I am and for what I have done for you. Place your expectations in My Word not in your works. Your faith in My name will make you whole. There is no one like Me!”

Living within the boundaries of God!

Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ” Matthew 4:7

On my walk yesterday, the Holy Spirit spoke to me about living in the boundaries of God and gave me this example of scripture to illustrate this truth.

IMG_0738

Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness and was tempted by Satan. The devil told Jesus to jump off the pinnacle of the temple and the angels would protect Him. Jesus responded “You shall not tempt the Lord your God.”

Jesus had the ability to jump off the top of the temple and save Himself but He knew the importance of living in the boundaries of God. He rejected this temptation and was obedient to His Father.

There is a safe haven when you live in oneness with God. He will lead you beside the still waters and cover you with His peace.

The problems of life take place when you venture outside the boundaries of God. This is why it so important for a believer to be united with God through His Spirit.

Jesus prayed that you would live in oneness with Him even as He was one with His Father. This will lead you into the perfect and acceptable will of God.

Ask God to be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your pathway and take every thought captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ.

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”

Becoming a Spirit filled believer!

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:6

You were born into the world as an empty vessel lacking the Spirit of God. Like Nicodemus you cannot understand the truths of God. You are a lost soul and without hope.

IMG_0662

Think of yourself as an unlit light bulb. There is no light in you and you stumble through life in darkness.

You can read the Bible, attend church, and participate in religious activities but you are just going through the motions without the Spirit of God.

You become born of the Spirit when you invite God to fill you with Himself in the essence of the Holy Spirit. You agree to walk with God through His Spirit and worship Him in Spirit and Truth. You abandon yourself to God and live for Him.

The Holy Spirit is your lifeline to God and will take what belongs to Jesus and declare it to you. The Spirit will teach you the truths of God and transform your mind to understand the perfect and acceptable will of God.

The empty light bulb is now infused with the life of Jesus and you are a light for God. To maintain a brilliant light, you need to nourish yourself with prayer and the Word of God. Learn to “Be still and know that I am God.”

Submit to the Holy Spirit and recognize the boundaries of God are for your protection.

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“The Holy Spirit is My life dwelling inside you. You can only come to know Me through My precious Spirit. Do not grieve the Spirit of the Living God. Walk with Me with an inner consciousness to My Spirit and an open heart to My guidance and correction. I will show you My glory and greatness!”

The reality of Christ!

Your life is an open book to Me. I knew your every thought today before you woke up. My purposes for you are eternal!

Christ is all, and is in all” Colossians 3:11

God has been reminding me today of His ubiquitous character. He is omnipresent and lives in all creation. He is present everywhere and lives in your past, your life today, and in your future.

IMG_0656
My God will supply your every need according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.

Jesus is complete and lacks nothing. He represents the fullness of the Godhead. The world is His creation and He has power and authority over all things.

You and I are incomplete people and desperately need God to heal and restore us to Himself. And, we need the blood of the New Covenant to forgive our sins and the Holy Spirit to convict and correct us of our wrongdoings.

Jesus is the author of all life and the source of the fountain of Living Water. Ask Jesus to fill you with Himself. Whatever you need, He is the perfect answer.

I have also been deeply touched by these words of Jesus, “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” You and I get in trouble when we try to go it alone and place earthly priorities above God.

Pray for God to fill you with His Word and enable you to live in oneness with Him through the power of the Holy Spirit. He loves you!

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

I am above all things, through all things, and in all things. I am the image of the invisible God and the firstborn of all creation. Come live with Me and you will see My magnificence and share in My glory!”

What is the defining nature of a Christian?

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

When you make a decision for Jesus, you become willing to give up your life for the life of Jesus. You cannot continue to live as you did in the past as a believer. Your old self has died on the cross with Jesus and you are a new creation. In reality, you have been baptized into the death and resurrection of the Son of God.

This transaction with God gives you the gift of eternal life and He places His Spirit to dwell within you. The life of Jesus lives in you and He is your conduit to God. The Spirit will take what belongs to Jesus and give it to you. This will do the work of transforming you into the character of Jesus and will equip you to do His work.

IMG_0735
He who believes in Me, out of his heart will flow rivers of Living Water!

As a believer, you agree to live for God and not for self and to seek the will of God to the best of your ability.

Your life will be filled with prayer, reading and applying the Word of God in your life, and living in oneness with the Spirit. You will dedicate your life around this precept “In Him we live and move and have our being.”

Your thinking patterns and decision making will change and you will see life through the eyes of God. What you valued in the past will disappear as you learn to cherish and praise the Living God.

Your relationship with God will be built on your unyielding faith in His promises and trusting Him for your every need.

Living by faith is believing the Word of God and learning to be obedient to His voice. So when God directs you in a new or different action, you comply without needing a rational explanation.

God is looking for believers who will follow Him without any proof or evidence. Without faith it is impossible to please God!

Religion really has very little to do with your walk with God. It is about your personal relationship with almighty God. As you draw near to God, He will draw near to you.

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“The foundation of New Testament Christianity is trusting Me for your every need and believing in My promises. The spiritual man or woman never judges Me by the circumstances in their life. They live by the Word of God believing I call things that don’t exist is if they did. Your faith in the Son of God will make you whole.”

Does God really care about you?

What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?” Psalm 8:4

Do you think of yourself as a mere mortal with just a beginning and an end? How do you really fit into the scheme of life from the point of view of God?

IMG_0732

God created the heavens and the earth and every living creature. He created you in His image and desires to prosper you and multiply all your efforts. Yes, almighty God loves you and wants you to abound with His goodness!

God made you a little lower than angels and crowned you with His glory and honor. He has given you dominion over the works of His hands with authority over all His creation. Think about the power and anointing God has granted to His people.

If you are a believer, you will live with God forever. And He has commanded prosperity for you and desires to give you more than you ask or think.

You were born as a mere mortal however God desires to transform you into a new creation in Christ Jesus and empower you with His Spirit. You will no longer be a mere mortal. You will be God’s workmanship designed to do His works and take dominion over the earth.

You will be changed from a human being to a spiritual being and will live with God forever. You will become an heir of God and entitled to the richness of His inheritance.

God deeply cares about you! And you are very important to Him. He considers you a special treasure of His work of creation. He has made promises to you that are priceless and cannot be matched by anything on the earth.

Come to God today! Give Him your everything! He has emptied Himself for you. How excellent is your name in all the earth!

The simplicity of Christ!

Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit.” Zechariah 4:6

IMG_0725
I live so you can live!

The works of God were completed on the cross with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

As a believer, you are called to cease from your striving and enter into the rest of Christ. You live by faith trusting God for your every need.

You have the life of Christ dwelling in you in the essence of the Holy Spirit. God wants to perform all things for you and help you meet every challenge of life. You can now live outside of yourself recognizing God is your source for all life.

The Spirit of God will give you strength, wisdom, and protection. And, the fruit of the Spirit will fill you with an abundance of love, joy, peace, patience, meekness, and self control.

Resting in God is acknowledging His greatness and glory and your weakness and frailty. You give God permission to live through you and guide your pathway.

You conduct yourself with the simplicity of Christ drawing upon the Living Water for your sufficiency.

You stand firm on the promises of God and never allow the circumstances of life to effect or weaken your faith in almighty God.

Think of God as the fountain of life. He will supply your every need according to the riches of the glory in Christ Jesus. He is a God of eternal life and will never disappoint you or fail you.

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly. Walk with Me by faith believing in My promises. My Spirit will do great things for you. He will take what belongs to Me and share it with you. The secret is to accept Me for who I am and draw upon My life. I will never leave you or forsake you.”

Prioritizing your life values!

Think of your decision for Jesus as a privilege to enter the kingdom of God. You become a partaker of the divine nature of God!

Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, And you will delight in the richest of fare.” Isaiah 55:2

Isaiah, the prophet, lived approximately seven hundred years before the birth of Jesus but God spoke to Him about delighting yourself in the bread of life and setting your priority on God.IMG_0724

You and I spend lots of money on things for self gratification and we labor long hours to earn money to meet our needs. Unfortunately, these activities will not satisfy your inner soul or bring the favor of God.

There is a deep thirst for God living in you and nothing will quench this thirst except for Jesus, the Son of God.

Jesus responded to Satan and told him “Man should not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” This is all about establishing priorities. God wants you to live for Him and Satan wants you to live for self.

The responsibility is on you to make a genuine and serious commitment to God. He will never do it for you or strive with your spirit of independence or rebellion. You have to come to God of your own free will and make a decision to live for Him.

God wants you to enjoy the richness of life and He wants to bless your work but the priority has to be placing God first in your life and walking with Him by faith. You do this by committing your works each day to God and asking for Him to fill you with wisdom and guide your footsteps.

You also have to spend time each day with God in prayer and praise Him for His characteristics of greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty. There is no one like Him!

Fill yourself with the Word of God. It is alive and powerful  and will nourish you with the truths of God. The Word has a powerful transforming ability and will renew your mind to think like God.

God is alive and His Spirit dwells in you. Learn to be still and listen for the voice of God. He wants to speak to you and live in oneness with you.

God desires to give you a prosperous life but it has to begin with your devotion and loyalty to Him. You can’t play both sides of the street and expect to get very far with God. He wants all of you!

Think of your decision for Jesus as a privilege to enter the kingdom of God and become a member of the “set apart” people of God. As a new creature in Christ Jesus you will be a partaker of the divine nature of God.

You become an heir to God and have an eternal inheritance. He lives in you forever!
