Living from the perspective of God!

In Jesus Christ you have fullness and are made complete. You have to live through His fullness of life and reject living for self.

Abide in Me, and I in you.” John 15:4

This is the most difficult aspect of walking with God. It is learning to approach life from the point of view of God and living through Him.

Self-efficacy is the opposite of living with God. This attitude reflects confidence in the ability to exert control over one’s own motivation, behavior, and social environment.  You must ask God to remove this influence from your personality and behaviors. God alone is your only hope!

You cannot attain the Living God through an intellectual process. You have to give up your life and individuality and come into oneness with God.

IMG_0567

When you let go and live with God, your individuality disappears and the personality of Jesus flows into your life.

The challenge is to avoid living from a humanistic point of view. Come to God and ask Him to live through you with His wisdom, strength, and joy. Learn to center your life around this spiritual truth “In Him we live and move and have our being.” Invite the Holy Spirit to be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your pathway.

Walking with God is about experiencing a lot of ups and downs. You get into a harmonious union with God and all is well but then the troubles of the world overcome you and you slip back into living on your own.

It is very difficult work to stay in oneness with God but when you stumble ask God to pick you up and restore you to Himself. He will never leave you!

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“You have to believe I am the author of life and will do for you what you cannot do for yourself. Live by faith in My greatness and glory and seek My will in your life. My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Learn to live moment by moment with the Son of God and I will breathe My life into you.”

The outcome of a relationship with Jesus Christ!

“I am a Living God! Abandon yourself to Me and I will share My glory and greatness with you.”

Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 10:32

What is the real purpose of walking with God? You might be surprised to learn that it is not really about salvation or sanctification.

The underlying purpose of God is to call you into a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and to learn to live for Him.

Jesus wants your unwavering devotion to Him and to walk in oneness with His Spirit. You have to believe He is the author of life and draw upon His Living Water for your every need.

IMG_0631

You have to allow God the right to crucify your old self and become willing to lose your life for His sake. You cannot be an effective witness for God until your heart is broken and you give up the right to yourself.

Jesus will show you that you are weak, unworthy, and empty of His life. This is the starting point to a relationship with God. You come to God as a broken and empty vessel and He redeems you from sin and gives you a new life. The redemption of God is not for your sake or to make you look good in the presence of others.

God has one purpose in your redemption! This purpose is for you to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to those around you.

This is accomplished by the Holy Spirit who fills you with the glory of God and the fruit of His Spirit. You become a beacon of light touching those around you. People see God in your demeanor, words, and actions. They want what you have—a supernatural life empowered by the Living God.

The end result with God is not about results or success. It is your obedience to His voice and living moment by moment with the Son of God!

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

You must be born again to to be My disciple! I will meet you where you are today and give you My life. I have to become the most important priority in your life and you need to have a willing and open heart to follow My ways.”

When God chooses to move!

It is not by might, nor by strength but by My Spirit!

And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off, the waters that come down from upstream, and they shall stand as a heap.” Joshua 3:13

At times life can seem listless and without purpose. It is like God wants you to exist in the routines of an unexciting life and all seems monotonous.

God is in charge of your life and He orchestrates the seasons of change. The Israelites wandered in the desert for forty years. Then at the perfect timing of God, the Israelites crossed the Jordan River into their new homeland.

IMG_0656

This did not happen until the soles of the feet of the priests who were carrying the ark of the covenant touched the waters of the Jordan River. Then almighty God caused the waters to stand up in a heap and the Israelites safely crossed over the river.

You cannot effect change in your life. God must go ahead of you and open your pathway. You and I have to wait on God for His timing and power to move into a new season. Your feet have to touch the water as our exalted and most high God goes before you.

God does not perform miracles just for your sake. He wants all those around you to know that the hand of the Lord is mighty and that you will fear the Lord your God forever.

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

Your life is like the ebb and flow of a river stream. I am in control of your destiny and My plans for you are perfect. If you try to cross the Jordan River before My perfect timing you will fail. Wait on Me and I will show you My greatness and power and all those around you will praise Me. There is no one like Me.”

“Living in the reality of who I am!”

I reign over all things! Come live through Me and you will not fail or be discouraged!

He will not fail nor be discouraged,
Till He has established justice in the earth;
And the coastlands shall wait for His law.” Isaiah 42:4

Today is a new day! God will not fail you or allow you to be discouraged. Come to Him by faith in His Word. Regardless of whether you live in the remote coastlands or a populous city, God is with you. He lives everywhere!

Last night in a dream, God showed me the awesome power of His promises. I saw the Living Water with individual compartments each representing a promise of God. These promises are waiting for you to claim them!

The Word of God is alive and powerful. It is life changing and is the breath of God. It is your only hope for life!

Here are some promises of God you can claim and they will work for anyone:

IMG_0654

I can do all things through Christ Jesus who gives me the strength. Remember, the strength of God is made perfect when you come to Him in weakness.

The Lord is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your pathway. This promise will bring guidance and protection into your life.

Commit your works to God and His thoughts will be established within you. This will give you the mind of Christ to hear from God during your day.

There remains a rest for the people of God. This is about letting go and allowing the Spirit to go ahead of you. Resting in God is an expression of your faith in Him.

Without faith it is impossible to please God. Those who come to God must believe who He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Meditate on the characteristics of God when your faith weakens and you begin to fall into unbelief. He is a God of greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty. He has power and dominion over all things in heaven and earth.

The joy of the Lord is my strength. When life seems bleak pray for the joy of the Lord. The oil of gladness will come upon you regardless of your circumstances.

Reach out by faith to the Son of Man for all your needs. My God will supply your every need according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.

When your life is in shambles pray for restoration. Restore us to yourself O Lord that we may be restored! He is a God of restoration!

When you are in a whirlwind, cast your burdens upon the Lord and He will sustain you. He will never allow you to be moved from His righteousness or to be shaken.

Jesus is the way, the life, and the truth! Come to Him in oneness with His Spirit and He will make you an overcomer!

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“I am a whole and complete God and lack nothing! I can meet your every need and nothing is impossible for Me. Come to Me and I will fill you with My life. I live so you can live!”

Reaching out to almighty God!

Acknowledge Me in all your ways! I will be your Keeper and preserve your going out and your coming in.

There is no one like you, Lord, and there is no God but you,” 1 Chronicles 17:20

The only place you can find safe refuge is with God. He is great and worthy of your praise.

The Lord made the heavens and the earth and is to be feared and respected for His holiness. Come before God with humbleness and awe for His greatness and glory.

IMG_0606

Reach out to God with praise and prayer. He hears your every word and fills you with His presence. He guides your thoughts and shows you how to pray.

Ask God to pour His blood over you and forgive you for your many sins. Pray to God to give you a clean heart and pure motives.

There is something very special when you come before God with a quiet heart; “Be still and know that I am God”. There are no words to describe His holiness!

The anointing of His Spirit is heavenly. You receive His love, joy, and peace. You come into His holiness and see God for who He is. There is no one like Him.

IMG_0591

The purpose of coming to God is to invite Him to prepare you for a new day. You walk into His holiness and He equips you with His life. Then He sends you out to enter a world filled with evil and corruption.

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

I am a holy God! There is no one like Me. Reach out to Me with praise for My name. Come before Me with fear and respect for My greatness and glory. I will do for you what you cannot do for yourself. I alone am worthy of your praise!”

The incongruity between God and religion!

Religion is a system of controls and laws. God is about setting you free and sharing Himself with you!

But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God  is evident, for the just shall live by faith.” Galatians 3:11

The definition of incongruity is the state of lacking harmony or compatibility. In this example, it is the incongruity between God and religion. They are not compatible with each other.

God wants you to worship Him alone and give all of yourself to Him. Religion wants you to worship God through a local church and the idea of abandonment to God is mostly replaced by complying to laws, doing works, and finding God through sacraments and rituals.

IMG_0651

God wants you to live by faith trusting Him for your every need. Religion soft pedals faith by focusing on church activities and works.

God teaches that your faith in Him will bring His righteousness into your life. Religion teaches you to keep the commandments of God and do good deeds to receive the righteousness of God.

God wants a personal and intimate relationship with you. Religion teaches you must join a church and abide by their rules.

IMG_0598

God wants you to have freedom. Religion wants to control you.

God teaches you to keep His laws through oneness with His Spirit. Religion teaches a work ethics to fulfill His laws.

God teaches you to live by faith and He will supply your every need. Religion teaches you must fulfill God’s laws to receive His blessings.

God teaches you must be one with the Holy Spirit to walk with Him. Religion diminishes the importance of the Holy Spirit and attempts to distort or minimize His influence with believers.

Jesus did not tell the adulteress to join a church, He said “Go and sin no more”.

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“The door to God is through a vibrant and personal relationship with the Son of God. Religion is mostly an impediment to My purposes and stifles My Spirit. I am a Living God and you must worship Me in Spirit and Truth!”

Are you hearing the voice of the Living God?

You can’t follow Me if you are not living in oneness with My Spirit!

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” John 10:27

The Spirit of God has been speaking to me about believers who don’t believe they can personally hear the voice of God or they disavow the importance of hearing His voice. And, some don’t want to hear God for fear of what will happen to them.

Many seek the voice of God through religious leaders, reading scriptures, or hearing personal testimonies. They neglect seeking out the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus said the purpose of the Bible is to testify to the Living Christ who has the power to give you the gift of eternal life. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

The Bible is the Word of God and is alive and powerful. I cherish the Word and live in the fullness of the scriptures every day of my life. However, the Word requires the Holy Spirit to bring truth and reality to your life.

IMG_0650

It is easier and more comfortable to go to church, perform religious rituals, and do works for God. You can keep the Living God at an arms distance from you and not have Him turn your life upside down.

You and I are imperfect and fall way short of the glory of God. The only way to find correction and to live for God is through His Spirit. Any other actions are just going through the motions!

You have to live each day in the consciousness of God. He cannot be just a figure in the Bible or a church sermon.

The question to ask yourself is “What is your most important need today and how can God enrich you with His life?” You will only find this answer through the Spirit of God!

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“You must worship Me in Spirit and Truth. I know you better than you know yourself. Your perception of your needs does not align with My reality. I am a Living God and desire to be in communion with you and show you My ways.”

Finding compatibility with God!

Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.” Genesis 6:9

What does it really mean to walk with God?

This is a picture of what it is like to walk with God. Imagine walking through life with your best friend who is always at your side. You can share anything with your friend who cares deeply about you and wants the very best for you. And you know in your heart you can trust this friend with your life and he will never leave you.

In preparation for writing this narrative, God came to me in the middle of the night and explained there are many imposters in the world who pretend to be a believer but are only deceiving themselves and others.

They live an incongruous life and are not conforming or harmonious with the Word of God.

In dealing with this subject, a good place to start is to identify what does not contribute to the definition of walking with God. Professing to be a Christian, attending church, or participating in religious activities has very little to do with walking with God. And God doesn’t really care about your sacrifices or offerings. You can’t buy favor with God through your efforts so don’t even try.

The foundation to walking with God begins with your faith in Jesus Christ. You agree to trust Jesus for your every need without any evidence or proof in your life.

You base your relationship with Jesus on His promises and not on what you can see with your eyes. You live with the understanding God calls thing that don’t exist as if they did and this is how He will work in your life.

You have a genuine desire to please Jesus in every facet of your life. You make this covenant with God because you believe He has power and dominion over all things. In your heart, you know that no one can compare to God.

The man or woman who walks with God prays constantly, reads and meditates on the Word of God, and takes time to listen to God. When you hear the voice of God you are obedient to His leading regardless of the cost to you.

You realize that you were born with a corrupt inner being and can never measure up to the standards of God. You come to God each day with a repentant heart seeking forgiveness and correction.

The key to having a personal relationship with God is through the Holy Spirit. You understand Jesus resides in you and wants to live His life through you. You develop a oneness with Jesus through the Spirit.

You live moment by moment yoked to His Spirit and inquire of Him before making decisions in life.

Your motives are to do good, avoid evil, and walk humbly with God.

You seek peace at all times and stand blameless before God because you do your best to live by the commandment to treat others like you would want them to treat you.

You become a powerful light for God touching others. They see God in you!

Walking with God becomes an unconscious activity. You live by faith with the knowledge God is at work within you. Your priority is to be linked to the Holy Spirit at all times who will give you more than you ask or think.

He is your best friend!

IMG_0551

Thought for the day: In Him we live and move and have our being.”

The circuitous path of God!

A man’s heart plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9

IMG_0646

It seems so logical to go to school, get married and raise a family, and follow your desired work path. Sometimes this strategy works but many times God intervenes to change your direction.

If you are serious about walking with God, you will probably experience some course changes in your life.

My ways are above your understanding!

The Israelites did not plan on wandering in the desert for 40 years. Jacob did not plan to flee for his life and move to Egypt. And Abraham, our father of faith, gave up his homeland and security to venture into no man’s land.

There is a direct relationship between your faith in God and the curves God throws your way. The curves in life come to draw you closer to God and to strengthen your faith. It’s kind of hard to get to know God if your life is predictable and without changes.

God is unpredictable and His ways are difficult to understand. He wants you to walk towards the changes in life by faith trusting in what you cannot see. The Lord is a lamp unto your feet and a lamp unto your pathway. He will lead you by faith into His perfect plan for your life.

Trust God through the curves of life. He wants to give you more than you ask or think!

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“Life has many bumps and challenges but I never change. You have to walk with Me by faith through the changes in your life. Don’t look at what you see but keep your eyes on Me with praise, prayer, and My Word. I am an omniscient God and My plan for you is perfect.”

When there is no end in sight!

God will verify Himself to you when your life seems hopeless! He is the way, the truth, and the life!

Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me,
And saw My works forty years.” Hebrews 3:9

IMG_0638

God likes to put you in a place where you feel helpless and can see no way out. This causes you to understand your only hope is in God and you have to trust Him when there is no proof or evidence of any change in your life.

Walking by faith is the benchmark for a believer. If you are serious about God, you will have to believe He calls things that don’t exist as if the did.

The Israelites fell into unbelief after God delivered them from slavery in Egypt. God was angry with them because they refused to walk by faith. They were not willing to wait upon God.

I change a hopeless situation into a miracle!

Without faith it is impossible to please God. Whatever your need, trust God to deliver you. Nothing is impossible for God.

Where you lack faith, ask God to give you His faith to sustain you while you are wandering in the desert.

When you see no end in sight, trust God and pray for wisdom, strength, and patience. God keeps His Word!

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“When you are in a difficult place, fill yourself with My promises. You will find strength and hope in My Words which are alive and powerful. I am a God of faith so you must come to Me trusting that I will do for you what you cannot do for yourself.”
