Easter is a way of living, not merely a holiday!

When you meet the Living God, you will see the foolishness and futility of living for self. There is no one like God. He lives so you can live!

At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.” Matthew 27:51-53

If you really want to experience the significance of Easter, you have to come to the Living Jesus and abandon yourself to Him.

Jesus was raised from death back to life by His Father, the most holy and exalted God. This power of God broke the backbone of religion, the earth shook, rocks split open, and God took many holy people lying in tombs from death back to life.

Jesus now sits at the right hand of God and was rewarded for His obedience by God giving Him power and dominion over all things.

Easter is not really about church sermons, music, or rituals. It is about the resurrected power of God. This power is available to you today and is the only way you can personally experience the reality of Easter.

The gift of God is eternal life and this gift is sealed inside you at the moment you make a decision for Jesus. The resurrected life of Jesus lives in you in the essence of the Holy Spirit.

“You have to lose your life to find My life!”

The commitment to Jesus is to give up your life and become willing to live for Him. As you let go, you will receive the fullness of His Spirit.

Easter is about experiencing the resurrected life of Jesus every day of your life. Jesus wants to give you strength, wisdom, and joy. He desires to give you an abundant life filled with more than you ask or think.

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

You have to lose your life to find My life. Come to Me by faith trusting that I will meet your every need. Do not compromise My values or take My Word lightly. I laid down My life so you can celebrate Easter every day of your life.”

Your existence is in the hands of almighty God!

Good Friday gives you hope for life! This life is supernatural and is filled with My goodness! I live today so you can live!

The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” John 10:17-18

IMG_0422

On the eve of Good Friday, these words of Jesus speak of His authority over death and life. Jesus is loved by His Father because He was obedient and willing to give up His life for you and me.

The Easter story is not about a random series of events orchestrated by men to crucify Jesus. It is the perfect plan of God to bring the offer of salvation to the world.

The crucification and resurrection of Jesus took place under the authority of God and no human being had any power or influence over these events.

Jesus is the author of life. He has the power to give life and to take life. You have no control of your life. It is in the hands of God!

As a believer, you and I are called to follow the role model of Jesus and be willing to die to self and live for God.

The gift of eternal life is the beginning of your journey with God. You live with God here on earth and then in heaven. You enter the world of the abundant life of Jesus and draw upon His resources for your every need.

Life has no limitations for a believer. The challenge is to center your life around God and live a life pleasing to Him.

Thought for the day:

“I am the beginning and the end of all things. My life comes from Heaven and is a fountain of Living Water to supply your every need. Seek Me out with all of your heart! My purposes for you are eternal!

How to find out if Jesus is for real?

But who do you say that I am?” Matthew 16:15

Jesus posed this question to his disciples and Peter answered “You are Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Jesus responded to Peter and told him he was blessed by God and this revelation did not come through His flesh and blood but from His Father who is in Heaven.

The question today is “Who do you think Jesus is?” This is the crux of a relationship with God. Is Jesus the way, the truth, and the life or he is just a biblical character who lived in ancient times. Is He worth you making a decision to lay your life down for Him?

Your perception of the Living God will only become clear and accurate when the the Spirit of God reveals the person of Jesus Christ to you.

You will never find Jesus through your mind or a scholarly approach. And, you won’t find the reality of God through sermons or reading the Bible.  You have to have a face to face meeting!

You will find the Son of God when you accept Him for who He is and come to Him with an open and willing heart.

Jesus has power and dominion over all things. He gives and He takes. He is the author of life. There is no other way to God except through the Son of God.

Jesus has defeated death and is the doorway to an abundant life. He lives so you can live through Him! He wants to do for you what you cannot do for yourself.

Come today and have a personal encounter with the Living God. Then all doubt will be removed and you will see Jesus for who He is and will gladly give your life over to Him with a heart felt desire to walk in His ways.

Come to God by faith and ask Him to illuminate you with the truth of Jesus. Come in a worshipful mood and with an openness to His Spirit. Then be still and wait on our almighty God. There is no one like Him!

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God!

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“Come to Me by faith and let go of your perceptions of who I am. Have an open heart and a willingness to listen. I will show myself to you and demonstrate My greatness and glory. When you meet Me you will know that life is hopeless without the Son of God.”

Do you live subordinated to God?

There is a way that seems right but its end is destruction. This is why you need to be in relationship with Me through My Spirit.

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2

IMG_0242What does it really mean to live a life subordinated to God?

You understand in your heart that our great God has power and dominion over all things and you live with a healthy fear and a deep respect for God. You desire to be under His canopy of protection at all times and walking in His ways.

There is only one way you can live a life submissive to God. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus will set you free from the law of sin leading to death.

You have to live in oneness with God through the Holy Spirit who dwells inside you. Pray, read the Word of God, and be still and listen for His voice. Ask God to search your heart and reveal anything not pleasing to Him. Take every thought captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ.

Walking with God is living moment by moment with Him. There is no checking out to pursue your own desires. This is where you get in trouble.

King David looked at the naked woman from his rooftop and allowed his desires to overtake the Spirit of God.

He who is within you is greater than he who is in the world. Live with God through His Spirit and Truth!

Thought for the day:

“I want to be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your pathway. Come into consciousness with Me through My Spirit. I am with you always!”

My entry into Jerusalem is for you!

“Celebrate Palm Sunday with worship and praise for My name! Walk with Me by faith and I will give you more than you ask or ask. There is no one like Me!”

“But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.” Luke 19:40

IMG_0644Jesus was entering Jerusalem on Palm Sunday riding on a donkey. There was a multitude of people rejoicing and praising Jesus, the Son of God. He had just raised Lazarus from the dead and performed many other miracles.

The Pharisees called out to Jesus to quiet his disciples. They were loud and excited to welcome Jesus.

Jesus responded that if these people should keep quiet, the stones would immediately cry out.

God will be glorified and exalted through Jesus, the Son of God, and nothing can inhibit the will of God. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life!

There is a coming groundswell of salvation and New Testament reality. God will make His presence known to all and shake the earth. Religion will be unable to contain our mighty God and will shatter and disappear.

Palm Sunday is about the commitment Jesus made to His Father to go to Jerusalem and be ridiculed, tortured, and die for you and me.

This Palm Sunday is the first step God is taking to reclaim His Church. You will shortly see an outpouring of the Spirit of God upon all nations.

This highway of holiness will draw many to God and people will fear and respect our mighty God! He lives so you can live!

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“My will is to do the will of My Father. Follow in My footsteps and seek Me out with all of your heart. Praise Me for My greatness and power. Come live My resurrected life and I will do for you what you cannot do for yourself.”

I am a God of hope!

Cast your burdens upon Me. I will sustain you and breathe My life into you!

“But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in the time of trouble. And the Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him.” Psalm 37:39-40

The salvation of God is at work in this very moment of your life.

God wants to be your strength in the time of trouble. Whatever your situation, He lives so you can draw upon His life to sustain you and make you an overcomer.

God lives in you and His Spirit is an overflowing reservoir of strength, wisdom, and protection. He wants to lead you to the rock that is higher than you and envelop you with His peace. This peace comes from Heaven and is unshakeable regardless of your troubles.

God wants to preserve and restore you! However, you have to take the first step and go to the Living God with a heart of repentance and praise for His holy name. You have to believe with all your heart in the Most High and Exalted God whom you cannot see!

Reach out to God by faith trusting Him to deliver you from your enemies or the perils of the world. Without faith you cannot please God! He can be trusted above all things. God is faithful!

Don’t compromise the promises of God or take His Word lightly. Build your foundation on the Living Christ and dwell in His Holy sanctuary.

Live with God believing “My help comes from the Lord who created the heavens and the earth”.

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“Come to Me by faith and I will overcome your troubles and defeat your enemies. My strength is made perfect in your weakness. Nothing is impossible for Me. I delight in delivering My people! I am a God of hope!”

When you can’t connect the dots!

I am a God who lives above your understanding!

IMG_0642

God works in mysterious ways. There will be times when you feel confusion and bewilderment. You can’t find direction and nothing makes sense. What is God up to?

Religion tells you God never creates confusion. It comes from Satan. You can take this counsel with a grain of salt.

Many times God uses confusion to accomplish His purposes. The Bible is full of examples of people living in confusion and bewilderment.

The Tower of Babel illustrates this truth with the words of God; “Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”

God created confusion in the minds of the enemies of Israel. “But the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day against the Philistines and confused them, so that they were routed before Israel.”

King David expressed his confusion and despair with the words “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

Think about the reaction from the three women visiting the empty tomb of Jesus, “Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.”

Paul was blinded by God and lived in darkness for several days. “Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun.”

Spiritual confusion is a tool of God. I have personally been through this many times in my life when nothing makes sense. I have learned to wait on God, don’t try to figure it out, and avoid making any rash decisions. The light will come to me!

God limits your vision for His purposes. The correct response is to pray and listen for the still, small voice of God. Be patient and rest in God.

Trust God and walk by faith with the understanding God calls things that don’t exist as if they did. You may sense confusion but your perfect God is at work to give you more than you think or ask.

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“My ways are not your ways. Trust Me for who I am and live in My Word. My eyes see everything about you and I know you better than you know yourself. My wisdom will come to when you most need it. What you cannot see today will be explained to you in My perfect timing.”

When your foundation begins to crack!

I will never leave you or forsake you!

IMG_0641

“If the foundations are destroyed,
what can the righteous do?” Psalm 11:3

You and I live in an evil and depraved world and are a target at any time for the enemies of God.

The arrows of Satan attack the righteous and upright. He wants to destroy and discredit you. At times, God will give Satan the freedom to play havoc with your life. You begin to feel the cracks in your foundation and fear overcomes your faith in God.

The Lord lives in His holy sanctuary and His eyes are upon you at all times. He sometimes allows the attacks of Satan to prove and reaffirm your faith in Him.

Think of the characteristics of God when you feel like you are sinking—He is a God of greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty.

God tests the righteous but sends a damning fire and a burning wind upon the wicked.

God is holy, perfect and without sin. He loves those who walk in His ways. He delivers His people!

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“I saw Satan falling out of Heaven. He has nothing to do with Me. I am above all things and your life is in My hands. Trust Me when your foundation is shaken. I will make you an overcomer and give you the strength and courage to withstand any threat from the enemy. I will rebuke the devourer for your sake. He shall not destroy the fruit of your vine.”

Make no conditions before God!

Here I am God! Show me your way! I come to you with an open heart seeking your perfect will!

IMG_0588

“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” Luke 22:42

God wants you to accept Him for who He is. There can be no conditions in your relationship with God. You cannot have the mindset that “I will give more to God when He gives me what I want”.

This attitude will cause you to get nowhere with God. You have to accept God for what you have in your life today and come to Him to give and not receive.

Give God a heart of worship and adoration

Give God your time in prayer, the Word, and openness to His Spirit.

Give God the right to yourself and the freedom to use you for His purposes not yours.

Give God your obedience to His voice and leading in your life. When you hear the still, quiet voice of God respond to His commands.

Give God all of yourself. Invite Him to live in every aspect of your life.

Give God your faith in His promises. Live with Him in the moment trusting Him for your every need. What caring God would give you a scorpion when you prayed for a fish?

You have to believe your desires are God’s desires! He wants to give you the very best in His perfect timing! Live with God for who He is and not for what you can see with your eyes!

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“Come live with Me for who I am. Focus on strengthening your relationship with Me. Accept Me without any conditions or limitations. The more you give to Me the more you will receive from Me.”

The promise of God to His people!

Behold, I am coming soon!

For the day of the Lord upon all the nations is near;
As you have done, it shall be done to you;
Your reprisal shall return upon your own head.” Obadiah 1:15

IMG_0320

God is coming very soon and His presence will be felt by all. He is coming to render justice and reestablish His kingdom here on earth.

The enemies of the Lord will be destroyed and they will burn in flames. Nothing will be unscathed.

The retribution of God will bless those who walk in His ways and curse those who deny God and live as prideful people

God will shake the body of Christ like never before and many heads will fall. He will create a new order in His church and it will belong to Him.

There will be a new holiness in the body of Christ. Religion will crumble and believers will walk by faith and live in oneness with God through the Holy Spirit. They will be doers of the Word and live in New Testament reality.

The Word of God will be cherished and honored by all. The white washing of God’s truth will come to an end. There will be no more compromising the truths of God!

The remnant of God’s people will be set free and restored to prosperity. What has been taken away from them will be returned.

The erosion, waste, and bleakness will be changed into a thriving and vibrant life for believers. They will see God fill their cup with His overflowing goodness.

The “born again” remnant will be a fire for God. They will live and move and have their being in Christ Jesus.

They will become a pillar of strength and reflect the glory and radiance of God. They will bring counsel, execute judgment, and reach out to the poor and needy. They will be a powerful witness and light for Jesus Christ.

The hand of the Lord will create a highway of holiness and many will walk down this path proclaiming the glory, greatness, and excellence of our mighty God!

Thought for the day:

IMG_0551

“I am a God of salvation! I will raise up My people and they will be My holy ones. Many will come to Me and receive the gift of eternal life. I will restore My church and all the glory will come to Me.”
