How to receive the fullness of God?

IMG_0555

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

The penalty of sin is death both in your life today and in your future. Sin left unchecked causes some of the precious life of Jesus to seep out of your body.

Sin quenches or diminishes the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling inside you. In reality, you are forsaking the work of Jesus on the cross and choosing to live for self. Sin reduces the vibrancy of life and leads to misery and destruction.

You can’t get completely away from sin but what God dislikes most is “unmitigated” sin. This is a pattern of behavior which is not lessened or changed. Your habits and thinking patterns can fall into the category of unmitigated sin. In essence, you are consciously allowing sin to continue in your life and you are rejecting or minimizing the consequences of your actions.

God hates sin but He also knows you can never be completely free from it. This is why He sacrificed His Son for you. The blood of Jesus forgives and restores you to God and His resurrected Spirit will transform you into a godly person and prevent you from becoming entangled in sin.

God is merciful and gentle dealing with your sin if you have a humble and willing heart to change your actions. God is simply asking for you to open your heart up to Him and ask His Spirit to reveal anything in your life that is not of Him. Then it becomes God’s responsibility to change you into a new person and implant His virtue in your heart.

The response to dealing with sin is to be yoked to the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus and you will be set free from sin leading to death. The Holy Spirit lives in you so take every thought captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ! He lives so you can live!

Thought for the day:  “I will do for you what you cannot do for yourself. Just be yourself and have an open heart to Me. I died so you can live. It is not by might nor by strength but by My Spirit.”

The perfect offering to God!

IMG_0552

Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” Romans 12:1

The goal of God is for you to abandon yourself completely to Him and live your life dedicated to Him. This is an example of a “spent offering” where you are willing to spend all of yourself for God.

The definition of spent is “having been used up, consumed, or finished”. In a spiritual context, God wants you to spend everything you have on Him and hold nothing back.

God wants you to give Him all of your heart, mind, and soul. He wants you to reach the point where you wake up each day with a desire to live and move have your being in Him.

To make this sacrificial offering to God, you have to give up the right to yourself and have an attitude of “Here I am Lord, take me and use me for your purposes”.

This is the expression of real love for God. You have put your faith into action with a heart filled desire to please the person of Jesus Christ. You have placed God above your own desires and hopes. Your single purpose is to be in union with Him at all times.

This sacrificial offering will bring you face to face with the Living God and you will see His glory and power. There is nothing in the world that compares to the presence of almighty God. He is a holy and perfect God filled with greatness and majesty!

Thought for the day: “Come to Me and see who I am. Do not be afraid to give yourself to Me. I will show you My greatness and bless you abundantly.”

“Invest in Me for I am worthy of your trust.”

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4

Investing in God is not about money, works, religion, or sacrifices. He doesn’t need any of these things. He wants you!

God is very jealous and this emotion is like a consuming fire inside of Him. He is jealous because He does not want to share you with other gods or idols. He is the first and the last God and there is no other God. It makes Him furious when you reject Him for false gods or idols.

You invest in God by making a genuine and sincere commitment to live for Him. Living for God is an expression of your total allegiance and devotion to Him. You live by the words “not my will but yours be done”. You can take this bold step because you know He wants to give you more than you ask or think.

God knows you better than you know yourself and He is omniscient and sees every detail in your future. So if you deny God you are rejecting His insight and protection and placing yourself above Him. This attitude left unchecked will lead to misery and destruction.

Instead of trying to tackle life on your own, seek out God through prayer, praise, and His Word. Commit each day to God and walk with Him by faith. Come into oneness with God through the Holy Spirit who lives inside you. The Spirit of God will fill you with Himself and equip you to meet all the challenges in your life.

The amazing thing about investing in God is you no longer have to carry the burdens of life and strive to make ends meet. When you commit to Jesus you belong to Him and it becomes His responsibility to provide you with an abundant life and fulfill the desires of your heart.

He wants to do for you what you can never do for yourself!

Thought for the day! “I am an everlasting God and no one can compare to Me. Come to Me by faith and I will show you My greatness. I will give you an abundant life that will exceed all your expectations.”

“As an heir to God, you are entitled to My riches.”

IMG_0550

“And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.” Galatians 3:29

Last night God spoke the title for this blog to me and also told me that “He alone is worthy of my praise”.

When you make a decision for Jesus you belong to Him. Your life is no longer yours. You become an heir of God and are privileged to share in the riches of His kingdom.

There is a cost to becoming an heir of God. You have to prove your worthiness to God and suffer through the trials and tribulations of life. Your life in some ways will be a microcosm of the life of Jesus. He suffered greatly but was rewarded by His Father with riches and honor.

The gift of God is eternal life which begins with your commitment to Jesus. Because He lives you will live. Jesus is alive and at work in your life through His indwelling Spirit.

Come to the Holy Spirit for your every need. He wants to share all of Himself with you. You no longer have to rely on yourself because you have an advocate who has overcome the world standing by to help you.

The heart of God desires to give you exceedingly more than you ask or think. He will release His riches to you in His perfect timing and as you diligently seek Him out.

Thought for the day: “Make your life an open book to Me. Don’t hold anything back. I want all of you. Dedicate yourself to Me and I will give you an abundant life overflowing with My goodness. I am a God of greatness!”

When you can’t find hope in life!

When my heart is overwhelmed;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” Psalm 61:2

If you woke up today feeling overwhelmed by the burdens of life with no help in sight, this Psalm has the perfect answer.

King David was confronting a powerful enemy and felt like the favor of God was not with him. He cried out to God “to lead me to the rock that is higher than I”.

King David knew that when trouble arises, the help of man is useless. This is the reason to believe in God. He will do for you what you cannot do for yourself. His strength is made perfect in your weakness.

The solution to any problem begins with God. Jesus said when your heart is troubled believe in Me. He is your advocate to almighty God and desires to deliver you from the troubles of the world.

God has power and dominion over the heavens and earth and all living things. His characteristics are greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty. There is no one like Him.

Have faith in God and reach out to Him with confidence in His name. He is the first and last God! There is no other God.

If God is for you who can be against you!

Thought for the day: “Nothing is impossible for Me. I can shake the earth, turn the sun into darkness, and raise people from the dead. I am a God of victory. Come to Me and see My greatness!”

“Without Me life is impossible!”

IMG_0546

Because I live, you also will live.” John 14:19

Life begins with Jesus! He was a human being just like you but was raised from the dead to live forever with His Father. He is the living God and author of life. There is no other God! He is the first and the last.

Life without God does not have a happy ending. You live. You struggle. And you die! Your destiny will never be fulfilled.

The life of Jesus is His gift to you. He literally places His life in you in the essence of the Holy Spirit. This is the beginning of life and it has no ending.

The life of Jesus is like a fountain of living water flowing into your human body and will eventually lead to eternal life. The Holy Spirit is your lifeline to God. He will give you the life of Jesus to sustain and empower you with an abundant life. He is the breath of God!

The living God wants to walk with you today and supply your every need according to the riches of Christ Jesus. There is a limitless reservoir of love, joy, peace and all of the attributes of Jesus waiting for you.

Commit your works to God and He will establish His thoughts in your mind. He desires to give you His wisdom, strength, and protection.

Jesus offers an abundant life that cannot be found anywhere else. The living God will do for you what you can never do for yourself!

Thought for the day: “I have overcome death! Life is superficial and lacking without Me. I am your only hope. Because I live you can live! Come to Me.”

Approach God by faith not by sight!

For the just shall live by faith” Galatians 3:11

IMG_0543

No one has ever seen God! So you have to approach God by faith not by sight. You can’t justify God by what you see because He lives and works in the invisible. Your hope is in God and never in the world.

Most people find their comfort level with what they can see with their eyes. They find security in their family, home, work, and material possessions. However your faith is not built on the present. Faith is trusting God to bring your hopes and dreams from the unseen into your life.

You walk with God by faith not sight. Noah built an ark but waited 100 years for the flood.

God calls things that don’t exist as if they did. This is how He created the world and desires to work in your life. Faith is your method of communicating and living with God. Ask and you will receive but ask by faith with no doubt or wavering unbelief.

Your fellowship with God can only be built on your faith in Him for your every need. God wants you to have confidence in His Word and never judge Him by the circumstances in your life.

What you see today is temporary and just part of the plan of God for your life. At this very moment, He is working in the invisible to bring all things together for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

Without faith it is impossible to please God!

Thought for the day:  “You can find Me today in prayer and My Word. My Spirit will teach you all things. Walk with Me by faith! I will never disappoint you!

The revelation of Jesus Christ!

For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself,” Colossians 1:19-20

IMG_0542

Life has a starting point and an ending point. As you journey through life Jesus will invite you to come to Him. You can either respond yes or no! He will never coerce you or force Himself upon you. You have to come to Jesus of your own free will.

Jesus reveals Himself to you by faith. There is no other way. You have to accept His invitation in the depth of your heart without any proof or sign.

God operates on His Word which is alive, powerful, and eternal. If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is your Lord and Savior you will be saved. This decision is final and your life will now have no ending point.

Jesus reveals Himself to you according to His Word. As you draw near to God, He will draw near to you. God is very jealous and He wants all of you. This is the stumbling block with most believers. You have to let go completely and make Jesus the centerpiece of your life. Don’t think this is about action or works. It is a quiet commitment in your heart to live for God.

When you become serious about God, He will reveal His glory and power to you. You will meet the Living God and He will become your best friend.

Jesus reveals Himself to you through the Holy Spirit living inside you. The Spirit will take what belongs to Jesus and declare it to you.

Jesus reveals Himself to you by asking for you to be obedient to His voice. When God calls you to action, He wants you to walk by faith without questioning Him. Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him as righteousness. Abraham left his family, inheritance, and security to venture into a foreign land. He was rewarded greatly by God!

Thought for the day: “Come unto Me. I am indestructible and I never change. Live in oneness with Me through My Spirt. I will show you My greatness and do more for you than you ask or think. My Words are Truth and Life.”

“Walk with Me by faith and praise Me for My greatness!”

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

IMG_0539

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. You can only access Him by faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God.

Faith is hearing and accepting the Word of God in your heart. Jesus is calling you to trust Him for your every need. Faith is believing in the promises of God and never judging Him by the circumstances in your life. God lives above your life and sees all things. His ways are perfect!

Jesus lives so you can live. This is the miracle of Christmas. Faith is coming into oneness with Jesus through the Spirit of God dwelling inside you. He can do for you what you can never do for yourself.

Keep your eyes on Jesus and do not allow the ups and downs of your life to lead you into unbelief. Faith is an unwavering belief that God wants to give you an abundant life and bless the desires of your heart.

God calls things that don’t exist as if they did. This is how He created the heavens and earth and all living things. Your faith in almighty God will bring the unseen desires of your heart into your life. He is a God of overwhelming goodness!

Thought for the day! “Merry Christmas to all! Your faith in My name stirs my heart to action. I want to give you more than you ask or think. I am a faithful God!”

The impediment blocking you from God!

Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.” The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” John 4:16-17

IMG_2012

This amazing story illustrates how God interacts with people. Jesus was walking most of the day and was probably tired and thirsty.

Jesus met this Samaritan woman at a well and engaged her in a conversation. Jesus told her about the gift of God and the Living Water. The woman asked where do I get this water that will cause me to never thirst again?

At this point Jesus do not offer the Living Water but told the woman to go and get her husband. Jesus is omniscient and knew this woman had a sordid past living with five different men and now with another man.

She was estranged from God by sin! Jesus spoke of her past to cause her to repent and enter the kingdom of God.

Light and darkness cannot coexist. Jesus is perfect and without sin. You cannot come into His presence until you repent from sin and ask for His blood to cover you.

Jesus wanted this woman to experience His abundant life but she had to become willing to change and turn away from sin.

This is where you stand at this very moment! All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God! You are blocked from the fullness of God.

Come to God with a repentant heart seeking forgiveness and correction of all things in your life not pleasing to Him. Where sin abounds, grace abounds more.

Come clean with Jesus and He will set you free!

Thought for the day: “My love covers all sin. I am the way, the truth, and the life. Come live with Me and I will fill you with Myself. Greater is He who lives in you than he who is is in the world.”
