The staying power of God!

Thought for the day: “Walk with Me today. Come into an inner consciousness with My Spirit and ask Me to fill your mind with My thoughts and guide your footsteps. I am with you at all times even through the bumps of life. I will preserve your going out and your coming in. Nothing is impossible with Me.”

I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

IMG_0537

God will never leave you! Unfortunately you and I tend to waver in our relationship with God. We run hot and cold.

You can easily stray away from God and get caught up in your emotions and the things of the world. Or, get distracted from God by temptations from Satan or your unchecked desires.

How can you get staying power with God? The first priority is your commitment to God has to move from your mind into your heart. This is because your mind cannot be trusted unless it is under the authority of God.

You have to come to God and make a commitment to live with Him with all of your heart, mind, and soul. This is the beginning of an unbreakable link with God. You have given all of yourself to God and He in return will share all of His life with you.

You have to prove to God you are serious about Him and will stay with Him through the good and bad times. Your contract with God is built on faith and nothing else. You agree to trust God for your every need. He becomes your everything!

You stay connected to God through His indwelling Spirit. This is accomplished by prayer, filling yourself with His Word, and listening and following the leading of His voice.

Jesus prayed that you would be one with Him as He was one with His Father. When you come into oneness with God it is impossible to stray away from Him. You have the staying power of God living in you and are firmly anchored to His Spirit.

It is not by might nor by strength but by My Spirit!

“Come celebrate Christmas with Me!”

Thought for the day: “Come to Me and I will give you Living Water. My life is your only hope and will bring salvation and strength to meet your every challenge. I am the first and the last! There is no one like Me.”

If One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” 2 Corinthians 5:14-15

IMG_0536

Christmas is about a new beginning! You can start your life over from scratch. This is possible because of the birth of the Son of God.

Jesus is an invitation to new life. It doesn’t matter how old you are, your religious background, or your past sins and mistakes.

You can have a clean slate and a new beginning today. This is the miracle of Christmas. The Son of God was born to give you life and life more abundantly.

One died for all. Jesus was a human being just like you and me. The difference is He is the author of life.

The gift of God is eternal life. This precious gift begins with your decision for Jesus. He forgives all your sins-past, present, and future. And you are now living on a different timeline. You have moved from facing an inevitable death to living forever with God.

The miracle of Christmas is Jesus will transform you into a new person. This happens because Jesus died for your old life. The cross has taken your old life and replaced it with the life of Jesus. You now belong to Him!

You have the life of Jesus living in you in the essence of the Holy Spirit. This is the gift of Christmas. He desires to fill you with His love, joy, peace, and strength. Jesus wants to be your best friend and do for you what you can never do for yourself.

Jesus is the best gift you will ever receive! You can open this precious gift by placing your faith in Him.

How to discover the living reality of Jesus?

Thought for the day: “You cannot serve Me and the world. Look into your heart and you will find your priorities. Make Me your full time God and I will share all of Myself with you.”

O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?  I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.” Romans 7:24-25

IMG_0535

You and I live out this dilemma everyday of our lives. You believe in God and go through the motions of keeping His laws but you end up giving into the desires of your flesh.

You entertain unhealthy thoughts, speak words of pride, lust after the things of the world, and envy the riches of others.

How can you overcome this tension between serving God and living for self? The answer is the Word of God has to be written in your heart. Until this happens you will continue to struggle and be an off and on believer.

The Word of God will move from a mental picture of Jesus into a living reality when you let go completely and make a decision to serve God with all your heart.

This is the beginning of an amazing life transforming experience. You allow your old self to die with Jesus and you live and move and have your being as a new creature in Christ Jesus.

God will baptize you with His powerful Spirit and old things will fade away and all things will become new.

As a new creature you come into relationship with God through prayer and filling yourself with His Word. You become one with God through the Holy Spirit. You cannot stumble when God lives in your heart and you are submitting to Him.

You become a spiritual man or woman and have the ability to judge all things but be judged by no one. This is because you have the mind of Christ and are living for Him.

He alone is worthy of your praise!

The freedom of living for the Son!

Thought for the day: “Abide in Me and I will give you freedom from the pressures of the world. I want you to live in oneness with Me covered by My blood and filled with the fullness of My life.”

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 3:31-32

IMG_0534

Everywhere you look today you see dirt and filth invading our world. Whether you watch TV, go online, or read a newspaper you can’t get away from it. The workplace is filled with mud and backbiting, politics and governments are corrupt, and society is built on the premise of self satisfaction.

The question is can you be free from the filth of life and have the freedom to enjoy the abundant life promised by Jesus. Is it really possible to avoid getting entangled in a morass of sinful activities.

This is complicated because you are not only dealing with the evils and perils of the external world that you live in but you also have to look into yourself to determine if your habits and motives are pure.

If you allow your inner feelings and desires to go unchecked you will find yourself slipping into a miry pit and then you will also be covered with mud.

Jesus told believers if you abide in My Word you will be My disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

God has given you an ironclad method to be free from the bondage of sin. This will work for anyone and is built on an eternal law of God. It will never fail you.

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ will set you free from the law of sin leading to death. So you have to look inside yourself for the solution to overcoming sin. The Holy Spirit (life of Jesus) lives in you and if you are yoked to Him it is impossible to fall into a sinful condition.

The Spirit of God is perfect and without sin. He reflects the holiness and purity of God and is the only way you can lead a life pleasing to Jesus.

The Son makes you free! Come into oneness with Jesus through His Spirit and your life will never be the same.

You will meet the living God and He will set you free!

When life becomes impossible!

Cast your burden upon the Lord and He shall sustain you. He shall never permit the righteous to be shaken.” Psalm 55:22

IMG_0533

Thought for the day: “I have come that you might have an abundant life. I died for you and want to share the fullness of My life with you. Nothing is impossible for Me. Do not allow the worries of the world to consume you. I have overcome the world. My Words are Spirit and Truth.”

Let’s face reality! We all live with burdens from time to time and they can create emotional distress, depression, lead to bad habits, and cause you to fall into unbelief.

Jesus warned all believers that in the world you will face trials and tribulations. They are unavoidable.

Fortunately, God has given you a perfect solution for dealing with burdens. The source for this is the Word of God which is alive and powerful. Cast your burden upon God. This requires you to release the burden to God and let go completely.

When you take this action the burden is no longer your responsibility. It belongs to God. He is now responsible to resolve your burden and deliver you with His mighty hand.

God will sustain you with a freedom from the burden, a deep sense of peace, and a resilient faith. He may not take the burden completely away but He will not allow you to be moved or shaken from your relationship with Him. His covenant with you is everlasting!

Jesus does not want your heart to be troubled. He wants you to cast your burdens and concerns upon Him and praise Him for His faithfulness. Jesus wants you come to Him when you are weak or weary. And He will give you rest!

Reach out to Jesus. His yoke is easy and His burden is light!

“I can give you an unsurpassed quality of life.”

IMG_0531

Thought for the day: “I am the first and last God. There is no other God. Come to Me and I will fill your heart and satisfy your soul. I can do for you what you can never do for yourself.”

For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:11

The foundation for your life was laid by the work of God thousands of years ago. This gift of God is Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Jesus is eternal and can never be destroyed. You can survive all the trials of life when Christ lives in you.

If you build your foundation on the things of the world, they will slowly disappear and you will be left with nothing. This is why the life of God is so important to you. This life will never leave you and cannot be overcome by anything in the world.

Think of this like the air you breathe in to keep your body alive. You cannot survive without air. As a believer, you are breathing in the life of Jesus which allows you to live with Him forever. There is nothing lacking in the life of Jesus. He has provided for your every need.

When you make a decision for Jesus, He fills you with Living Water. This water is eternally fulfilling and you will never thirst again.

Nothing in the world can satisfy you like the Living Water. It is the essence of God in the form of a Spirit. The Holy Spirit becomes a fountain of water which will eventually spring up to eternal life. The Living Water is the life of Jesus and is boundless. Ask Jesus to fill you with His love, joy, and peace and all of the attributes of the fruit of the Spirit.

Jesus died to give you a good life and He wants you to see the desires of your heart come to fruition. Jesus is the door to life. He forgives sin and restores you to God.

You can find Him at this very moment. Seek Him out through prayer and His Word. He desires to speak to you and provide a light unto your pathway. Take time to be still and listen for His voice. The Holy Spirit will take what belongs to Jesus and declare it to you.

Jesus wants to be your everything!

How to get on the same page with God?

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

Thought for the day: “I will cause your faith to grow from a small mustard seed into the ability to move mountains in My name.”

IMG_0528

How do you process all of the truths of God and find His perfect will for your life? God at times can seem like a paradox with conflicting views and teachings. What does He really want from you?

You need to look at the life of Jesus to understand how He will impact your life. Jesus was a nonconformist. He did not accept the ways of the world. He was controversial and unpredictable. There was nothing normal about His life. He lived to do the will of His Father and was always one with Him.

Jesus does not think or act like you. His ways are not your ways. The objective of Jesus is simply to cause you to live by faith without any evidence or proof in your life. He wants you to get to the point where nothing can shake your faith or cause you to doubt Him.

He wants you to understand and accept in your heart that the Lord is always with you and you never have to be afraid. What can mere mortals do to you?

Jesus wants to build an immovable and secure bond with you that can overcome any difficulty in life. To fulfill this objective, God will engineer circumstances or challenges in your life to get your attention.

What makes God happy is when you reach the point in life when you say something like “This just doesn’t make any sense to me.” This is because you are walking by faith and cannot see ahead. This makes perfect sense to God because He is molding you into a person of faith.

To keep it simple, learn to live by faith trusting Jesus for your every need. And when He puts you on a “roller coaster ride” praise Him because He knows exactly what He is doing! He is teaching you His reality!

He is a God of greatness and His ways are perfect!

Your steadfast faith will touch the heart of God!

Thought for the day: “Walk towards Me by faith and keep your eyes on Me and never on the circumstances of your life. I have overcome death.”

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

IMG_0527

The cornerstone to a relationship with God is faith. Forget about religion and come into a relationship with the Living God. You must meet the person of Jesus Christ and accept Him by faith.

Jesus lives in the invisible and He calls things that don’t exist as if they did. Faith is placing your life in the hands of God and trusting Him for your every need.

King David lived by these words “My help comes from the Lord who created the heavens and the earth”. God wants you to live out this truth in your life. It is a demonstration of your belief in the power and sovereignty of God.

You must come to God with awe and respect for who He is and recognize He is a God of greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty. You do not need to look anywhere else for help because God has everything you require to have an abundant life.

God wants you to depend solely on Him. He died to give you the gift of eternal life and place His Spirit to live inside you.

Jesus is alive and wants to be your best friend. You can get to know Him through prayer, reading His Word, and listening to His voice. Be open and share your inner most thoughts and concerns with Him. Ask Him for advice and to show you how you can improve your life.

You will find out very quickly that God is interested in both the little and big details of your life. God does not want to be left out of anything. There can be no secret compartments in your life. Invite Him to be a part of all including the good and the bad. He sees everything anyway and you can’t get away with holding things back from Him.

God knows you much better than you know yourself and can see ahead into your future. He wants to protect you and keep you away from evil. This is why you want to be in oneness with God through His Spirit.

God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. Build your life around God and He will give you more than you ask or think!

How to stay on the right path with God?

There is a way that seems right to a man, but it’s end is the way of death.” Proverbs 14:12

Thought for the day: “Let Me be your Good Shepherd. My ways are perfect. I will never disappoint you or lead you astray. My purposes for you are eternal and life changing! There is no one like Me!”

IMG_0525

If you are not a believer or you’re someone who believes in God but tries to figure out life on your own, this spiritual truth is perfect for you.

The only valid reason you should choose to live for God is because you believe He will give you a better life than you can ever give yourself. You understand in your heart that God is all powerful and no one can compare to Him.

You see the failure in trying to live a life based on self sufficiency and realize you need someone much greater than yourself to help you.

When you make a decision for Jesus you are agreeing to lead a submissive life and to abandon yourself to Him. You learn to live out the words “not my will but yours be done”.

God wants to give you an abundant life and bless the desires of your heart but it has to be done His way. This is where you have to take a back seat and relinquish control.

The priority with God is for you to seek Him out through prayer, praise, and His Word. He wants you to live by faith trusting Him for your every need. He wants to be the centerpiece of your life and help you develop into a loyal and obedient follower.

Everything else in life is secondary to your commitment to God. This is not about religion or doing works. You will never impress God by doing things. He wants your total heart devotion to Him.

This verse in Proverbs explains that many times what may seem right to you might be a dead end with God. You cannot think like God or understand His ways without the mind of Christ. This is why you want to lead a submissive life and inquire of Him before making decisions. God becomes your everything!

Keep in mind, God is an omniscient. He knows every thought you will have tomorrow before you even wake up. He wants to fill you with His peace and the joy of the Lord.

If you try to live without God this will bring misery and destruction. Your only hope is to walk with God. You do this by asking the Lord to be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your pathway and pray for His wisdom, guidance, and protection. Commit your works each day to God and His thoughts will be established within you. This is how you walk with God. In Him you live and move and have your being.

Don’t accept the ways of the world or allow your desires to motivate your actions. Seek out the living God and He will bless you abundantly!

He alone is worthy!

The defining character of God!

Thought for the day: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. My life is your only hope. Come live with Me.”

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23

IMG_0523God is perfect. He is a God of glory, power, and majesty. He alone is righteous and worthy of your praise. There is no one like Him.

God is holy and very protective of His character. He told Moses on Mt. Sinai to take off his sandals because he was standing on holy ground.

God will not become tainted with sin or allow it to come close to Him. He has judged all mankind to be unworthy to come into His presence. No one is without sin. And all have fallen short of the glory of God! You will never have the fullness of the character of God.

You stand separated from God and unworthy to enter into His sanctuary. You are inadequate and lacking in the virtue of God. You were born into the world with a disposition to live for self and reject the ways of God.

This is how God has defined you. He created you in His image but you cannot live with Him because you were born as a slave to sin.

God loves you and wants you to be in relationship with Him. This can only be accomplished through Jesus, the Son of God. Jesus died for all sin. His blood will cleanse you from all sin and restore you to God. There is no other way.

Jesus can transform you from your sinful state into an incorruptible man or woman of God. He does this by pouring His blood over you and refining you with His character through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Develop a discipline of seeking God out regularly for repentance from sins and correction of anything in your life that is not of Him. This pleases God greatly and allows the fullness of His Spirit to dwell in you.
