The unconscious work of God!

“Come to Me. I want to be your shelter and a light unto your pathway. My ways are perfect!”

For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” Philippians 2:13

IMG_0259

If you are a believer, God lives in you and is at work to fulfill His purposes. This happens whether you are in compliance with Him or not. His desire is for you to worship Him with all your heart and center your life under His authority.

His good purpose is for you to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. This will lead to an abundant life and you will be a vessel of God to bring His salvation to others.

God is at work every day of your life to accomplish His objectives. Most of this work is done in the invisible in shaping your life to cause you to turn to Him.

He wants to reorder your life to conform to His perfect will. God wants to keep you away from temptations and protect you from all evil. He wants to lead you in healthy and safe directions and guide your footsteps. He wants to show you what is important and what is a distraction in your life.

He is at work to reform you into His image, to do a work of inner healing and restoration and take away emotions that lead you astray. He wants to fill you with Himself so you can meet the challenges you face each day.

He is a living God and wants to do for you what you can’t do for yourself. You must invite Him into your life through prayer, His Word, and with a genuine desire to allow Him to act through you.

God’s overwhelming desire is to give you an abundant life and provide you with more than you ask or think!

“Wait on Me! My ways are perfect!”

It takes courage to follow the Lord! Don’t give up!

Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed” Psalm 25:3

IMG_0258

The worldly way is to take action. There is no waiting on God. You must enter into life with intensity and strive to meet your goals. The world honors those who are achieving and have a relentless attitude toward life.

The world ridicules and shames the man or woman who waits on God. The world teaches the idea of “survival of the fittest” and your sufficiency comes from self.

This is the antithesis of God’s ways. God created the heavens and the earth and every living creature in six days and rested on the seventh day.

The foundation of Christianity is built on resting in God and drawing upon His attributes to have an abundant life. Resting is the ability to understand that all good things begin with God and come to you by your faith in Him.

There is a time for action and a time to wait upon God. It is not by strength or might but by the Spirit of God. Waiting on God is an expression of your trust in Him and an unwavering belief that you will experience the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

You wait on God without any evidence or proof. Your faith is embedded in His Word. You don’t look at your circumstances because God lives in the invisible. He calls things that don’t exist as if they did!

Wait on the Lord and He will strengthen your heart! God is faithful!

How to hear secrets from God?

God is loyal and very passionate for His people that fear Him and recognize His sovereignty over all things.

The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him.” Psalm 25:14

IMG_0257

God wants to build a friendship with you. This will happen as you draw near to God. He wants to be a part of every detail of your life and wants you to look to Him for all your needs.

He wants you to stand in awe of His majesty and power and commit yourself to living a life pleasing to God. The fear of the Lord is a deep knowledge of how reckless life is without yielding to Him. It is a genuine respect for God and a desire to acknowledge Him in all your ways.

As you learn to let go and trust God, He will share secrets with you about Himself and your life. These are beautiful pearls of wisdom descending from heaven. God passes His secrets on to you to strengthen your faith, show you His character, and guide your footsteps.

God is loyal and very passionate for His people that fear Him and recognize His sovereignty over all things. He wants to share Himself with you!

Is God really trustworthy?

“There is a way that seems right but it is a path to disaster. I am your only hope and your redeemer.”

Sovereign LORD, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.” 2 Samuel 7:28

IMG_0247

This question determines the strength of your faith and commitment to God. This also delineates a believer from a non believer.

God has spoken through His Word and has made faithful promises to those who believe in Him. And God never changes! So you have to accept the promises of God without any proof.

This is the nature of God. He works in the invisible and faith is the cornerstone to a relationship with God.

You have to determine if you are going to place your trust in what you can see or enter into the realm of faith. The problem with trusting what you can see is that earthly possessions are not permanent and can quickly disappear or become corrupted by evil.

The matter of trust is about choosing the ability of a sovereign (ultimate and unlimited power) God to meet all your needs or depending on self.

If you are honest and really look into yourself, you will see your shortcomings and lack of godly values. Do you really want to trust yourself with your life or turn to the Creator of the world?

God is perfect. He is holy, pure, and just. He has power and dominion over everything in the heaven and earth.

The one person you can trust is God. The world will fade away but He is a rock that will never change and offers you an abundant life.

The life changing nature of God!

You cannot make a decision for God and continue to live as in the past.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3

IMG_0251

If you are a disciple of Jesus you will experience a radical transformation of heart, soul, and spirit.

The form of the person you were born with is not acceptable to Jesus. This person is in rebellion against God and lives for self. This person can never please God or keep His commandments.

You must be born again and take on a new identity. Your old self must die on the cross so that you can live for Jesus.

The process of becoming born again starts with your commitment to Jesus as your Lord and Savior. This decision gives you the gift of eternal life and the indwelling Holy Spirit.

You must be baptized with water to become a new creature in Christ Jesus. The act of baptism provides forgiveness for all your sins and places you on a path of change by the hand of God.

The Spirit living within you will begin the process of purifying you into the life of Jesus. Your old thinking patterns and habits will fade away and life will become new. You will think and act differently. Life will have a new perspective and you will begin to see the kingdom of God.

You cannot claim to be a disciple of Jesus unless you are experiencing a life changing transformation. There is no stopping point with God. He conducts a lifelong surgical work to perfect you with His nature.

You cannot make a decision for God and continue to live as in the past. If you place the precious wine in old wine skins, the wine will spill out and both the wine and the wine skins will be ruined.

God lives in the moment!

You grow spiritually by finding God in the now!

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8

IMG_0250

You cannot understand God through your intellect or religious training. You have to experience Him in your daily life. He lives in the moment and wants to be a part of all you think and do.

Your environs and all that takes place in your life today is a stage for walking with God. The challenge is learning how to manage your life through the wisdom and direction of God.

God sees your life differently than you and His ways of doing things are not your ways. This is why it is so important to be yoked to God through His Spirit.

You learn spiritual truth through real life experiences. You see that God wants to be involved in all the details of your life. Nothing is unimportant to God whether it is how much coffee you drink, what you have for lunch, how you spend your money, or your relationship with others.

Allow God to ordain your day and you will be amazed at the peace and simplicity of life. He wants to give you a better life than you can ever give yourself.

If you commit your day to God you will see life through God’s eyes and you will experience His greatness and glory!

The Lord is my God!

“This one belongs to Me forever.”

“I will bring the one–third through the fire,
Will refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested.
They will call on My name,
And I will answer them.
I will say, ‘This is My people’;
And each one will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’” Zechariah 13:9

IMG_0239

It is very frightening and difficult to understand that God will allow two thirds of the population in the world to be cut off from Him and die. But this is the truth and will happen in God’s perfect time.

The remanent who survive the wrath and judgment of God will be the people who believe in the name of Jesus and will not accept any attack to destroy their God or turn to worship false gods. They will call on the name of Jesus even when facing death.

If you really want a heart for God, you will be taken through the fires, you will suffer for your beliefs, and you will die to self and become refined with the nature of God. You will also be severely tested to determine the strength of your faith.

Through all the trials of life, you will call on the name of Jesus and never depart from His sanctuary. God will respond to your faith with these words “This one belongs to Me forever.”

How to conform to the game plan of God?

“Without faith it is impossible to please Me.”

These are the things you shall do:
Speak each man the truth to his neighbor;
Give judgment in your gates for truth, justice, and peace;
Let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor;
And do not love a false oath. For all these are things that I hate” Zechariah 8:16-17

IMG_0246

God showed His loving kindness and mercy toward the Israelites and promised to restore them after He had severely punished them for their disobedience.

God spoke to the Israelites and very explicitly told them what they must do to please Him and retain His favor.

Speak the truth at all times. Build your life on truth, justice, and peace. Do not entertain any thoughts of evil against another person. Do not accept or love any false oath. God hates all these behaviors and judges you according to your actions.

The Israelites would go on to fail God again. They could not live up to these standards of God and neither can you.

So the question is how do you please God and keep His commandments? This can only be accomplished by yoking yourself to God through His Spirit who lives within you. It is impossible to please God through your own efforts. You will keep failing just like the Israelites.

You become one with God through the working of the Holy Spirit. He resides in you and desires to give you wisdom, protection, and transform you into a godly person.

This is the only way you can lead a life pleasing to God. You must abandon yourself to God and immerse yourself into prayer, His Word, and the leading of His Spirit.

I want My people to have a virtuous heart!

When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months during those seventy years, did you really fast for Me—for Me” Zechariah 7:5

IMG_0249

Are you really serious about God? Or, just going through the motions? If you play games with God, He will bring you to your knees with His wrath and judgment.

The Israelites were called by God to fast and mourn for two months of the year. God challenged their motives “Did you really do this for Me?”

Then He told the Israelites that when you eat and drink you are satisfying yourself and not celebrating My goodness.

Then God spoke and said because you have not obeyed Me and have deaf ears to My voice, I will turn your land into desolation.

You cannot escape the judgment and wrath of God. It is all about your heart condition and dedication to God.

God wants you to take Him serious and build your life on Him through prayer, His Word, and the leading of His Spirit.

God wants your obedience to His voice. Religion and rituals mean nothing to Him. He wants all of you!

How to survive in an ugly world?

“Like David I see the perversion in the world. Cry out to Me and you will be saved!”

Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases!
For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men. They speak idly everyone with his neighbor; With flattering lips and a double heart they speak. May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, And the tongue that speaks proud things, Who have said, “With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our own; Who is lord over us?”“ For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.” Psalm 12:1-5

IMG_0243

This Psalm epitomizes the world that we live in today. There is a monumental wave of society who have no fear of God and disregard His ability to change lives or impact the world that we live in.

They place their faith in earthly possessions and give very little honor to God. They look to their education, abilities, and self sufficiency to have a successful life.

They speak proud words filled with conceit and have self serving motives. They lack a sincere concern for others.

They do not understand that God holds you accountable for every word you speak and punishes those who boast or speak damaging words to others.

There is a powerful backlash against the principles of God in our society. Satan is at work to disarm the Word of God and ban it from our society. He wants to destroy all believers.

The beautiful truth in this Psalm is God will rescue those who call upon His name. He will deliver you from evil and protect you from the perils of the world.

The Word of the Lord is pure and eternal. The Word is your only hope in this world. The world will fade away but God’s kingdom is eternal and will last forever.

Seek out God and make Him the centerpiece of your life. You will find Him in prayer and His Word. Be still and listen for His voice.

He is your only hope to survive in this evil world! He will give you a deep satisfaction you can never find anywhere else!
