The consequences of your actions!

In reality, you determine the outcome of your efforts in life. If you are living for God you will have an abundant and prosperous life.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” Galatians 6:7-8

In the middle of the night God told me “The means justify the ends.” This sounds like something humanistic but it represents the thinking of God.

The means are the efforts you employ to achieve a result. This can be about your life, your work, your marriage, raising a child or a task in life.

The ends is the culmination of your efforts and the result of your actions. The ends is justified by your means. They are in direct relationship to each other. The analogy is do good and receive good.

God plays a significant role in the consequences of your actions. He determines the result or outcome of all things. He can bless or curse.

God desires for you to have a successful and rewarding end to all things. This can only be accomplished by making Him the centerpiece of your life and seeking Him out for wisdom and guidance. He wants you to turn to Him for every detail in your life.

You seek God through praise and prayer. You ask for the Word of Christ to dwell richly in you in all wisdom and understanding.

You listen to the voice of God and follow His leading. You live for God and desire to please Him in all things.

In reality, you determine the outcome of your efforts in life. If you are living for God you will have an abundant and prosperous life.

God has spoken and laid out the conditions for living an abundant life. It is your actions that determine the consequences.

God never changes!

I am a God of infinite greatness and glory!

When God gives you a glimpse of Himself it causes you to tremble in fear and you want to run away and hide from His presence. The glory of God is too intense to bear and you want to shield yourself from His glory for fear you will die.

Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. Then they said to Moses, “You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.” Exodus 20:18-19

Mount Sinai

This Bible verse gives you a picture of how God revealed Himself to the Israelites on the top of Mount Sinai. The reaction from the people was they did not want to be close to God or hear His Words for fear they would die. This is how terrifying the glory of God is when you come into His presence.

No one can come into personal contact with God because He is holy and pure and will not be tainted by sin.

God may allow you to come near Him so you can witness His glory and power. If this happens, you will experience a greatness in God unlike anything on the earth. It is like a thunder bolt and penetrates to the essence of your heart, soul, and spirit. You see the purity of God and your corrupt inner self.

God is omnipotent and no one can compare to Him. When you come face to face with the living God, you will never doubt His greatness and your life will never be the same.

Don’t try to touch His glory! The work is done down here and not up on His Holy mountain. Just worship Him and give Him all the glory!

Give the glory to whom really deserves it!

If you take the glory then there is no purpose for God. The spiritual man understands that all good things come from God and he is just a vessel used by God.

So she said, “I will surely go with you; nevertheless there will be no glory for you in the journey you are taking, for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman.” Judges 4:9

Deborah, a prophetess of the Lord, spoke to Barak and told him to assemble an army of Israelites to destroy Sisera, the commander of an enemy nation, with the power of nine hundred chariots at his will.

Barak agreed to do this if Deborah would accompany them. This comment seems to reflect that Barak needed assurance and lacked the faith to tackle this on his own.

Deborah sensing that Barak was thinking about all the praise and honor he would receive told Barak that he would get no glory and Sisera would flee to a woman who would allow him to be killed.

Deborah is essentially stating that the Israelites will see God perform a miracle and they will praise God and not Barak.

The point of the story is God wants all the glory for your achievements and successes. If you take the glory then there is no purpose for God. The spiritual man understands that all good things come from God and he is just a vessel used by God.

God wants you to know that it is His greatness and power at work to bring victories in your life. It is not about you.

Another captivating part of this story is God told Deborah the outcome and how it would be achieved. God is omniscient and and knows every detail of your life. He sees ahead and behind. This is another reason to seek Him out.

Your journey through life is designed by the hand of God to bring glory to Him. It is never about your strength or might but by the Spirit of God!

Your life should be a testimony to God and point people to Him. They will see God in you and want what you have!

Where do you find God?

If you are a believer, look into yourself. This is where God lives!

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:3

God has been speaking to me about His intrinsic quality dwelling in all believers. The definition of intrinsic is “belonging to the essential nature or constitution of a thing”. God is intrinsic to human nature. He created you in His image and has provided a method for you to be intrinsically linked to Him by His Spirit. This is accomplished by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

If you are a believer, God lives in you in the form of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is a person and wants to take what belongs to Jesus and give it to you. The Spirit will teach you the truths of God and do the work of purifying you with the nature of God.

God created an eternal law to protect you from evil. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus will set you free from the law of sin leading to death. You have the Spirit living in you and He desires to give you an abundant life and keep you away from sin but you have to be linked to Him.

You also have your natural person living in you and this person wants to live for self and is in conflict with God. So you have to make a choice each day (sometimes several times a day) whether you will live for self or live for God through His Spirit.

Think of it this way, God lives in you and wants to have a personal relationship with you through His Spirit. If you let Him He will permeate every aspect of your life including your feelings, thoughts, and decision making. You will hear His voice and experience His glory and majesty.

If you really are sincere about God you have to give up the right to yourself to God. Then you will meet the living God who can turn the sun into darkness and shake the earth.

The intrinsic quality of God!

The Spirit is at work in you at all times to help you walk with God and keep His laws. You develop an unconscious ability to please God!

The law of his God is in his heart;
None of his steps shall slide.” Psalm 37:31

If you are a believer, the laws of God are imprinted in your heart. This is because the Holy Spirit lives in you. He is the Spirit of Jesus and teaches you all things about Himself.

Jesus prayed that you would be one with Him as He was one with His Father. If you are linked to God through His Spirit, you will not fail. He will guide you into a path of righteousness for His namesake and protect you from evil.

When you are yoked to God, your old self will fade away and all things will become new. God will show you His purity without the control or influence of religion.

The laws of God will move into your heart as you place your faith in God and worship Him with praise and prayer.

Don’t try to do things for God. Just enter into His presence and seek His will for your life. Let the Word of God dwell richly in you with all wisdom and understanding.

This is all about developing a personal relationship with the living God. You will get to know Him when you let go and release yourself completely to Him.

You will never be able to figure out God but you will know in the deepest part of your heart that He loves you and He is your only hope in life.

Your way or God’s way!

Satan is a tempter and a liar. He is at work looking for a weakness in you so he can gain authority over your life.

But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4

Jesus was hungry. He had not eaten anything for 40 days. Satan knew Jesus had a need for food and tempted Him to use His power to turn stones into bread.

Jesus understood that all good things come from the Word of God and not by greed or self serving motives.

This is a microcosm of life today-trusting God or living for self. If you are not “one with God” you can easily be lured into a sinful action to meet a need or desire in your life. Take the easy way out. This can be about money, sex, power, or a luxury lifestyle.

You turn to lying, deceitful tactics, or pursuing impure motives to accomplish your need. You shut the door on God and take over!

In the spiritual realm, you have allowed your desire for a need to intensify to the point that sin is conceived in you before any action is even taken. You have opened the door to Satan and he now has authority over you and not the Word of God.

This is why you must take every need to God and depend upon Him for help in all circumstances of life. Make God your source to fulfill all your needs and desires. Wait on the Lord and fill your inner being with praise to God, prayer, and the richness of His Word.

This is the path to the goodness of God!

Stand firm with God or compromise!

Most people take short cuts in dealing with God. They compromise the Word of God to fit their own lifestyle. They make concessions because they do not fear the Lord.

But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” Daniel 3:18

The example of Daniel is a powerful statement of obeying God at any cost. Daniel would not compromise the Word of God even if it led to his death.

Daniel knew the living God and had witnessed His power and glory. He had the courage and faith to remain steadfast regardless of his circumstances.

God never changes and His Word is eternal. God has spoken about how to have a relationship with Him. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the other things will be added to your life.

This is a call to put God first in your life above all things. It is making a commitment to do the will of God and not live for self.

You seek God through prayer, praise, and His Word. You listen to His voice and follow His leading in your life.

You cannot hide part of your life from God. You must give Him access to all of you and hold nothing back. God wants you to live with Him 24/7 and not restrict anything from Him.

You are dealing with a living God who knows you better than you know yourself. He sees everything about you and knows all your thoughts and feelings. It is ridiculous to live for self when God will do more for you than you can ever do for yourself.

The characteristic of selfishness denies the ability of God to do great things for you and overwhelm you with His goodness.

Daniel stood firm with God and was greatly rewarded!

Great is the Lord!

Have no fear for I am with you and will never abandon you. Great is My name!

“Faith is the key to unlocking the door to My riches.

Faith is seeking Me for all your needs and recognizing Me as the creator of all things. Without faith you cannot please Me and you are like a ship tossed back and forth by waves.

I have come to give you an abundant life and pour out My Spirit upon you. Rejoice in Me for great is My name. I conquered death so you could have My life. Death has no power over you because you belong to Me. Rest in My strength and believe in Me.

Great is My name!”IMG_0201

Where is the justice in the world!

Your faith in God will bring His justice into your life. You see light and darkness through the eyes of God. He defines life using a different set of values!

For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints.” Psalm 37:28

There is no justice in the world. The world is filled with evil and ungodly people. You must look to God for justice.

Justice is rewarding good and punishing bad. God is the only person that can determine justice and save you.

God is holy, pure, and just. He is without sin. He looks down on you and sees everything about you and those around you. He loves justice and judges all things perfectly. He blesses and He curses.

When you are struggling or going through a difficult time, He does not walk away from you. He has promised to be with you at all times and fight against your enemies.

He abhors evil and will punish the wicked. The wicked may seem to be successful but they will eventually wither and die.

As a believer, ask God to be your defender and protector. God delights in you when you turn to Him when in trouble. He will deliver you from evil.

God never changes! He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him!

A reality check for a believer!

You have been set apart by God. You no longer belong to the world you belong to God. You are living for God not for self.

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

Good morning,

God spoke to me about creating a profile on the sanctified life of a believer. This deals with the transition from your natural self to a “born again” believer. This based on biblical truth mixed in with my own personal experiences.

The sanctified life begins with your sincere commitment to live for God and make Him the centerpiece of your life. This decision enables you to become a new person in Christ Jesus. Your old self has died on the cross with Jesus and you have a new identity.

You become a member of the “set apart” generation of believers. From God’s point of view, you are a prized possession and a special treasure to Him. You live in the world but you are not of the world. You are a spiritual being reflecting the attributes of renown, praise, and glory. You are a bright light for God and people see God in you. You develop the characteristics of love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, meekness, and self control.

God begins the lifelong process of sanctification. He changes you into the personality of Jesus. You learn to think and act differently and operate with pure motives. You esteem others more highly than yourself and treat all people in the same way you want to be treated.

The sanctified life is not about works. It is about trusting God for all your needs. You develop an intimate relationship with the living God and walk by faith.

Sanctification is not for you. It is for God. You belong to God and He will choose your path in life. It doesn’t mean life will be easier. It will probably be more difficult.

You come to know God and experience His power and glory. The more you let go, the more He will share with you. It is not about promises of wealth. It is giving up yourself to God for His purposes.

It is trusting God when there is no answer or evidence of Him in your life. It is about faith in God when all things seem hopeless.

The sanctified believer is obedient to the voice of God. You desire to do the will of God in all aspects of your life. You don’t question God but simply comply with His requests.

You don’t try to be holy. You just act in a genuine manner without any pretenses or religiosity.

You understand God lives in you and desires to give you abundantly more than you ask or think. You are confident about all things and do not become intimidated by others.

You have a strong inner belief that if God is for you who can be against you!
