Do you really want to settle for mediocrity?

If you are a lukewarm believer, you are missing out on the glory and power of God!

Come follow Me.” Mark 1:17

This is a life changing command from Jesus. He wants all of you and does not want you to leave anything for yourself. Give Him all your desires, talents, and skills. Everything must go! You can’t hang on to the precious possessions in your life. God doesn’t want anything to compete with Him. He wants to give you a fresh start on life-Jesus and you walking together.

You give up the right to yourself and give God authority over your thinking patterns, personality, emotions, and desires. You also have to give up all preconceived ideas on how God will use you.

This is the definition of abandonment to God and you will be unable to see an end goal. You are allowing God to refine you, build a new person, and choose how He will lead you through life.

You can make this commitment because of the Word of God. The Word of God is eternal and will never change. God promises you an abundant life and that He will bless the desires of your heart. You can take this leap of faith because God is faithful and will bless you abundantly above all you ask or think.

God will replace what you have given to Him with precious gifts that are priceless. They will have more value to you than anything from your past. He will make you into a mighty person of God and you will see the glory and power of God!

What’s on God’s mind?

“My love is unconditional without any qualifications, restrictions, or limitations. I am who I am! My desire is to give you an abundant life. Come to Me and I will give you My living water and you will never thirst again.”

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

God gives His love without asking anything in return. You can’t earn His love and you will never deserve it. The love of God is pure and without sin. The love of God is a gift and can only be received by faith. The love of God never fails and is eternal. It is the only thing you can count on in this world.

The love of God is not emotional. It is about obedience. Jesus was obedient to His Father and died so you can have the love of God. Likewise, God wants you be obedient to the leading of His Spirit. When you hear the voice of God, just simply comply and walk towards Him!

The gift of God is eternal life and this is the greatest expression of the love of God. When you make a commitment to God, this starts a new life in you. This life is eternal and you have Jesus residing in you in the form of the Holy Spirit. This is the same life that Jesus displayed when He lived on the earth. This is your source of the living water and He will fill you with strength, wisdom, joy, protection and all of the fruit of the Spirit.

When you come face to face with God you realize how foolish it is to try to live without Him and you see how insignificant you are in comparison to God.

Jesus loves you!

How to get out of trouble?

The problem is no longer yours, it is now God’s problem!

“But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in the time of trouble. Psalm 37:39

Troubles will come upon you from time to time. You can’t avoid them! The world is really not your friend but we all live in the world and have to face the challenges in our lives.

David, the author of this Psalm, was chased by his enemies and facing death. He had to hide in caves to avoid persecution. He trusted in God completely for protection and to deliver him into safety.

When you reach a point of helplessness and defeat, this is when God can do great things. It is about turning away from self sufficiency and recognizing your weaknesses and sincerely seeking God.

God is omniscient and knows about all your troubles before they happen. His desire is for you to turn to Him for help and not look for earthly answers or solutions. This is an expression of your faith and dependence on God and it delights His heart.

Whatever your trouble, cast this burden upon God and then let go. You have now placed this in the almighty hands of God and He will create the perfect solution. The problem is no longer yours, it is now God’s problem. He has authority over everything in the heavens and the earth and He will deliver you. When anxiety over the problem comes upon you, just start praising God and thanking Him for His faithfulness.

Turn to God and ask for His peace, protection, and wisdom for dealing with your problem. Jesus died to give you these attributes. You can be standing in the middle of a devastating storm and be filled with the peace and confidence of God.

Take the time to listen to God for His advice! He might simply say to just trust Him or He might give you some specific insight or action to take.

God wants to be your strength in time of trouble. His strength is made perfect in your weakness. Admit to God you feel defeated and lacking strength and He will fill you with His strength.

He will deliver you because you trust in Him. Nothing is impossible with God!

What turns God on?

Your heart condition speaks much louder to God than your words or actions! Are you really serious about God or just going through the motions?

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

The cornerstone to a relationship with God is faith. This is the only way you can approach God and understand His ways. You have to believe in something you cannot see. Your faith comes by hearing the Word of God and accepting it as the truth. You can’t earn the gift of God by doing anything. You just accept God by faith with an open heart. It is not about practicing religion but it is about perfecting your faith.

If you come to God you must believe in who He is. The characteristics of God are beautifully described in 1 Chronicles 29:11:

“Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all.”

This is God and there is no one that compares to Him. You have to receive the nature of God within your heart and then build your life around our amazing God. You must walk by faith trusting God to meet your every need and seek God through praise, prayer, and His Word.

What turns on God is when you surrender your will to the will of God. This is a powerful expression of your faith in God and it delights His heart because you are following in the footsteps of Jesus, His Son, who prayed “not my will but your will be done”.

God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. He wants to give you more than you think or ask. He is a God of goodness!

Are you crazy God?

This just doesn’t make any sense!

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8

You are a human being and God is the Creator of all living things with power and authority over everything in the heavens and earth. He doesn’t think like you or make decisions from a human perspective.

God is looking at you and evaluating all your strengths and weaknesses. His number one priority is to refine you with His nature. This is upmost in His mind and He will orchestrate your life to cause you to trust Him regardless of your circumstances. God wants to draw you into a relationship where you completely let go of your will and give all to Him.

God is not predictable. He wants you to cling to Him without having any vision for your future. God did not take the Israelites on a straight path to the Promised Land. They wandered for forty years. It took Noah 120 years to built the ark before the flood. Abraham was called by God to be willing to sacrifice Isaac, his son.

If you are walking with God at some point in time you will cry out “This just doesn’t make any sense”. This is exactly where God wants you to be and it makes perfect sense to Him.

God wants to take you to the place where you will trust Him completely and not allow trials, tribulations or the unknown to cause you to fall into unbelief.

The godly man looks to God and is never shaken by the roller coaster ride of life. Place your hope in the invisible world of God and never in what you can see! God calls things that don’t exist as if they did.

God will never let you down!

Are you walking down a dead end path?

Many people just go about life and make decisions that feel good. They have an attitude that God is in heaven and far removed from their life. This is a road to disaster!

There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.” Proverbs 14:12

God doesn’t think like you and His ways are not your ways. What may seem right to you may not be right with God.

The world is not God’s playground so you have to be careful of your steps. From God’s point of view, we live in the world but we are not of the world. We are spiritual beings living for God.

You need to check in with God each day. He wants to protect you and guide you down a smooth path. You inquire of God by finding a quiet place and open yourself up to Him. You praise God, pray for your needs, and learn to be still and listen to the voice of God.

God is a Spirit and you must worship Him in Spirit and Truth. If you are a believer, you have the Holy Spirit dwelling within you and He desires to speak to you. God is alive and wants to have an intimate relationship with you. He wants to be your best friend.

The key is to commit your works each day to God and He will establish His thoughts in you. He desires to be in contact with you and has given you the mind of Christ.

When you experience the living God, your life will never be the same!

What’s God take on money?

It’s all about your motives!

“Wealth gained by dishonesty (vanity) will be diminished,
But he who gathers by labor will increase.” Proverbs 13:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

The key to prosperity is to seek out God! He sincerely cares about your desires and lifestyle needs. He wants to give you more than you ask or think! He created you in His image and desires for you to be fruitful and multiply.

Prosperity to God is about much more than money. It is about living with God forever and drawing upon His peace, wisdom, and protection.

Don’t go to God for prosperity; go to God for who He is. God is all powerful and controls everything in the heavens and earth. He heals people, raises people from the dead, and performs mighty signs and wonders.

Your motive must be to love God and be obedient to His will. Forget about money and seek the richness of God!

You can’t use God to get prosperity. Think about working for God with pure motives and leave the results up to Him.

God is ready to fill you with an abundance of His goodness but the first step is for you to reach out to Him with an open heart and hold nothing back. God wants all of you!

Make God the centerpiece of your life and you will be overwhelmed with His goodness!

How to become a godly person?

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus!

“The righteous shall live by faith.” Galatians 3:11

The righteousness of God is a gift! It cannot be earned through your human efforts. You were born with a concentration of sin within you. This sin is not your fault but it is your responsibility to deal with it in a godly manner. You will never be rid of all the sin and it is too deep for you to understand in its entirety. However, you can be forgiven for all your sins and never take on guilt or condemnation over your actions. Jesus died for all your sins. They no longer exist in His mind.

It is the responsibility of God to change you into a godly person. You just need a willing heart. The righteousness of God will come to you as your faith in God grows and you trust Him with all your needs. Pray each day for forgiveness for your sins and give God permission to search your heart and reveal your shortcomings.

If you are a believer, you have the Holy Spirit living in you and God has created a universal law that will allow you to live a life pleasing to Him. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus will set you free from the law of sin and death. If you yield to the Spirit of God then you can live a godly life. You will never be perfect but sin will not control you.

The challenge is to stay connected to the Holy Spirit and not slip back into living for self. Immerse yourself each day in prayer and the Word of God and listen to the voice of God. Walk by faith seeking God out for all your needs.

This will put you on the path of righteousness!

The secret to walking with God!

“You shall have no other gods before Me.” Exodus 20:3

God never changes! He has a personality and experiences emotions just like you and me. I have learned that God is very jealous and this emotion can be like a consuming fire. This seems a little difficult to understand since He created all living things and has power and dominion over everything in the heavens and earth. But it is the truth.

God wants all of you! He does not want to be a part-time God or have to compete with other gods or idols. This is very important to God and is the foundation to a genuine relationship with Him.

When you make a commitment to God, you are agreeing to worship only Him and to make Him the centerpiece of your life. This literally means that God comes first in every aspect of your life including your relationships, your money, your decision making, your work, and your leisure activities. God wants to be a part of all the details in your life–both the big and little things.

The biblical principle is to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and then your needs and desires will follow. The priority will always be God first and your needs second. This order will never change.

God wants you to have balance in your life with Him sitting on the throne. Any time you devote an inordinate amount of time and energy to a specific task or a desire you are risking falling into the category of worshipping an idol. This causes God to be jealous because He is getting leftovers and this diminishes the power of His Spirit working within you.

The secret is to commit each day to God and seek out His will for you. This pleases God greatly and He will go before you and make your path smooth.

Do you really want to tackle life alone?

If you choose to exist without God, you have no life saver! This option will lead you to misery and destruction. There is no hope for you either today or in your future. This sounds very blunt but it is the truth.

The cards are stacked against you. When you were born, you came into the world with a seed of sin sealed inside of you. This seed is about rebellion against God and living for self. You also have a genetic disposition for sin from your ancestry tree. And you are living in a world filled with evil and under the strong influence of Satan who desires to steal, kill, and destroy! How do you think you can overcome these odds without help? It is impossible!

The gift of God is eternal life and it begins at the moment you make a commitment to Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Think in the present when you contemplate living with God! As a believer, you have the life of Jesus dwelling in you in the form of the Holy Spirit. This is your conduit to God and your source for wisdom, strength, and protection.

You have to understand God is alive and desires to be the most vital component in your life. He wants to be your best friend and look out for all your needs. He promises to give you an abundant life and bless the desires of your heart.

You have to reach out to God by faith! This requires you to trust what you cannot see and place your hope in the invisible world of God who calls things that don’t exist as if they did.

Life with God is the perfect solution for your every need!

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
