The Bible defines wisdom as first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
The first premise in dealing with wisdom from Jesus is understanding He speaks to all believers. You have the mind of Christ to hears His words. Jesus speaks into your thoughts. Your response is to learn to listen for His voice.
Jesus does not give out wisdom randomly. The wisdom of God is sacred and comes from heaven.
Jesus gives out wisdom to Christ followers who are seeking His will for their life.
You must ask by faith for wisdom and not waver into unbelief. Some of the prophesies of Jesus may take a long time to come into reality.
The wisdom of Jesus is pure. There is no darkness or impure motives in God’s wisdom. Jesus will never contradict the Word of God.
The wisdom of Jesus is peaceable and will not create confusion or turmoil in your life. Jesus leads you beside the still waters.
The wisdom of Jesus is gentle and humble. God operates with unconditional love and compassion for His people.
The wisdom of Jesus is open to reason. Jesus does not think or act like you. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand controversial or difficult words from Jesus.
The wisdom of Jesus is full of mercy and good fruit. The wisdom will always bring glory to God.
The wisdom of Jesus is impartial to worldly thinking or biased in any way. The gospel of Jesus has no racial or cultural boundaries.
The wisdom of Jesus is sincere and filled with integrity. Jesus knows you better than you know yourself. He wants to lead you into paths of righteousness for His namesake.
Jesus shares deep revelations of biblical truth with those who are steadfast in faith and obedient to His voice. You will experience the transfigured Christ.
Commit your works each day to Jesus and give the Holy Spirit authority over your life. This will open the flood gates in heaven with the thoughts and omniscient wisdom of Jesus to deal with all the complexities of life.
“When He comes, He will convict the world about sin, righteousness, and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me”
This Bible verse is the words of Jesus speaking about the Holy Spirit who is the essence of Jesus. The Spirit is how you can walk with God.
Most people think sin causes the impasse between God and man.
The truth is the lack of belief in Jesus creates the impasse.
Sin is alive in every human being. We are ego driven people desiring to please self.
Jesus died to wipe away sin with His blood.
The conflict is lack of belief in the Son of God. We don’t believe Jesus has power and dominion over the heavens and earth. We doubt the promises of Jesus.
We can accept the Jesus in the Bible but we will not let him come into our lives. He is not alive or a powerful factor in our world. Jesus is someone we need when facing death but is not relevant during our lifetime.
Fervent believers also have difficulties walking by faith. They encounter trials and calamities and “Ask why is God sleeping?”
Many believers cannot accept the judgments and retribution of God. How can a God of love be so harsh and cruel in his actions?
The solution to the impasse is coming to know the Living Christ.
When a man encounters the Living Christ all doubt will disappear. He will see the reality of Jesus and experience His greatness and glory.
Jesus is not a human being and does not think or act like you. He has no ego and operates with unconditional love for all humanity.
The only way you can meet the Living Christ is by faith and making a decision to live for Him above all else. Forget your intellect or what you see with your eyes.
Come to Jesus by faith and give the Holy Spirit who lives within all believers authority over your life.
This will bring the reality of Jesus into every moment of your life.
Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
First of all, you cannot be like Jesus. Effort or intellect will not make you like Jesus. You must be born again with a new identity.
If you try to emulate Jesus you will come across as a religious prude and turn people off.
When someone becomes a believer they are trained by religion to please God by keeping laws and doing works.
Jesus died to break this practice but religion can’t seem to grasp the purpose of the Cross.
The distinction of a Christ follower has to do with relationship building with Jesus. This is the priority in the heart of Jesus. He wants a symbiotic and personal partnership with a believer.
The believer must come to know Jesus, hear His voice and learn how to walk in oneness with Him. Jesus is looking for believers who are serious about seeking the will of God and living by faith.
Jesus wants believers who are devoted to Him above all else and are obedient to His instructions.
This relationship can only be achieved by living under the authority of the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Jesus and is sealed inside all believers. He desires to give you omniscient wisdom and protection. He teaches you the values of Jesus.
Commit your works each day to God and submit to the Holy Spirit and you will be amazed how the reality of the Living Christ will spring into your life. He will be alive in all the moments of each day.
Jesus will transform you into His character which will allow you to be a powerful witness for Him.
The Cross is the key to becoming like Jesus. The Cross baptizes believers with the Holy Spirit and fire. The Spirit crushes your ego and pride. He convicts you of sin and ties to the world.
The Cross is the only way you can function like Jesus. And, it is not you but Jesus doing the works of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The priority is to pray, read the Bible, and listen for the voice of God.
Jesus is perfect and without sin. Every believer has an inner nature to defy God and satisfy self. Jesus knows you better than you know yourself. He sees your imperfections and genetic dispositions for compulsive behaviors.
This is why you must be open to conviction and correction. Jesus is not looking for perfection but a willing heart to change.
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
Jesus and a human being are diametrically opposed to one another. They do share some similarities. A human being is created in the image of God, they both have a unique personality and a range of emotions but the similarity stops there.
God is perfect and without sin. He has no ego. He is a God of unconditional love and his goal is to draw all humans to Himself. God controls the universe. He is all powerful and nothing is impossible for Him.
A human being is born with a desire to live for self and defy the ways of God. He is ego driven and cares about self preservation and attaining the things of the world.
How does the fusion happen between these two opposite parties?
God is at work before birth takes place to claim an unbeliever for Himself.
God is unconditional love and works through family, friends and the Body of Christ to convince the unbeliever to accept Jesus.
God asks families and friends to pray for the unbeliever to ask for the gift of salvation.
God engineers calamities and adversity to cause an unbeliever to hit “rock bottom” and see the futility of living without God.
Fusion starts when a man reaches out to Jesus!
The unbeliever makes a decision for Jesus and the fusion is started between the two parties. The unbeliever is born again with a new identity through the Spirit and Water. He is baptized by the Holy Spirit and fire into the death and resurrection of Jesus.
God seals the new believer with the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Christ and immediately begins to transform the believer into the character of Jesus.
God desires to develop a symbiotic and personal relationship with the new convert. Jesus asks the believer to walk by faith and draw near to Him. The believer now faces two choices. He can sell out completely for Jesus and let go of the ties to the world. Or, he can pursue a lukewarm relationship with Jesus and never experience the reality of the Living Christ. Jesus will merely be a figurehead.
The ultimate fusion comes to a Christ follower who lives for Jesus under the authority of the Holy Spirit. He is focused on zealously seeking the will of God for His life above all else.
He walks in oneness with the Living Christ, hears His voice and is obedient to the instructions of Jesus.
For in Jesus, we live and move and have our being!
Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge.
God desires to speak to you every day of your life and while you sleep He wants to reveal knowledge.
How can you and I receive the revelations of Jesus?
The Christ follower must be walking in oneness with Jesus and zealously seeking the will of God for his life.
He has to be living under the authority of the Holy Spirit.
He prays constantly and listens for the voice of God. He has the mind of Christ.
Sin grieves the Holy Spirit. He is life of Christ and the source of the words of Jesus. If you want to hear Jesus you must be covered by His blood and seeking repentance for the darkness in your life.
Jesus is very approachable and wants to have a symbiotic relationship with you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
The Christ follower is transformed into the character of God by the Cross. As a new creature in Christ Jesus the old things fade away and are replaced by the new qualities of Jesus.
If a believer resists the work of God to crucify his old nature he can never experience the reality of the Living Christ. The words of God will be hidden from him.
The Living Christ controls the universe and wants to be in your life forever.
The word from the Holy Spirit today is propensity which refers to the tendency to behave in a particular way.
Why do you and I screw up when we are trying to do good? The answer is our propensity is coming from the wrong source.
Propensity governs your behavior. It can be influenced by God through the Holy Spirit or your natural desires.
Propensity is also indicated by your moral compass which can be the values of God or the world.
Most believers get into trouble when they allow their emotions and desires to guide their decision making. Your natural desires when left unharnessed will always lead to destruction and misery.
This is why we need the quintessential qualities of Christ.
The purpose of Jesus is for a believer to walk in oneness with Him. This will bring an abundant life and the omniscient protection of Jesus.
Why do we straddle between our natural desires and the pathway of God?
There are a number of reasons but the most significant is we do not live under the authority of the Holy Spirit.
He is the life of Jesus and is sealed inside in all believers. He cannot sin and will always bring glory to Jesus.
Commit your works each day to Jesus and submit to the authority of the Holy Spirit.
Listen to the voice of God and obey His instructions.
Read the Bible and ask God to help you appropriate the values of Jesus in your life.
Learn to be in conscious awareness with the Holy Spirit.
Do not make hasty decisions out of your emotions. This will always lead you astray.
Be open to the conviction and correction of Jesus. Your sinful nature will never go away but can be minimized by the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
Pray the blood of Christ over you every day and have a heart of repentance to turn away from darkness.
God knows you will never be perfect but you can lead a life pleasing to Jesus!
The Holy Spirit spoke the word exploiting today referring to many Christians who attempt to use Jesus for selfish reasons.
This narrative speaks to the relationship between Jesus and a believer. The decision for Jesus is “Not my will but Yours be done”. We are a servant and Jesus is the master in this partnership.
Jesus is not heavy handed with a desire to make your life burdensome. He wants to bless you abundantly.
Jesus just wants you to make Him your priority above all else and genuinely seek His will for your life. The fulfillment of your desires are subservient to asking Jesus to be the centerpiece of your life.
The believer seeks the will of God through prayer, listening to the voice of God, and reading the Bible.
The crucial goal is to remove any darkness in your life. Ask Jesus what needs to go?
The Holy Spirit will show you fleshly desires and compulsive behaviors that must cease in your life along with ties to the world.
These sinful conditions require the cleansing of the blood of Christ and repentance which is a heart willing to let go of darkness.
This is not something you can do on your own. Will power will fail you.
Ask the Holy Spirit who is sealed in all believers to help you get rid of the imperfections. Remember, it is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit. You have the life of Jesus inside you and He will transform you into the character of God.
Now let’s get back to your personal needs. Jesus operates by faith. Ask and you shall receive but ask according to the will of God. Jesus promises to provide basic necessities but personal indulgence or luxury requests may conflict with His desires. When in doubt ask Jesus.
The point is you cannot manipulate Jesus to accomplish your desires. Keep your motives pure.
The priority is to be a powerful witness for Jesus and obedient to His instructions.
Jesus will ask you to do things that make no sense or may be costly. This is how He measures your faith and devotion to Him.
Jesus wants a symbiotic relationship with a believer. This is a mutually beneficial partnership where both parties win!
My help comes from the Lord who created the Heavens and Earth!
The defining point of a Christ follower is seeking out Jesus by faith for your every need. This is a lifestyle of looking solely to God who created the heavens and earth. This is not an intellectual concept; it is believer with a heart devoted to God who believes in the promises of Jesus.
The Christ follower does not depend on self sufficiency or the ties to the world. He is entirely sold out to Jesus for his every need.
God wants to protect your every step. He does not sleep.
God is your keeper. He is like the shade that covers you from the sun.
God desires to protect you from all evil. He will preserve your soul forever.
God desires to preserve your going out and your coming in today. He does this through the Holy Spirit who dwells in all believers.
The Holy Spirit is the life of Christ. He desires to speak to you and fill you with omniscient wisdom from heaven. If you submit to the authority of the Holy Spirit, Jesus will be in every moment of your life.
My God shall supply your every need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus!
The faithful believer does not judge God by what he sees with his eyes. He trusts the promises of a caring and loving God. Jesus keeps his Word!
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Many believers speak the words of God but they fall on deaf ears.
This happens because believers are not speaking under the authority of the Holy Spirit.
God knows every detail of those people who will cross your pathway today. He knows what words are powerful and those words that will create unbelief or anger.
The believer must be anointed by the Holy Spirit and equipped with the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be a powerful witness.
Jesus walked all day and was thirsty. He saw the Samaritan woman by the well and struck up a conversation. He asked for a drink of water from the well.
The woman said why are you dealing with me because Jews have nothing to do with Samaritans. This was Jesus acting with unconditional love and no barrier to race or religion.
Then Jesus said “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”
Jesus has now revealed He is a gift from heaven and tells her she should be asking Him for Living Water.
The woman still is confused about Jesus and says “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?”
The rivers of Living Water!
Jesus responded and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
Jesus explains He is the source of the Living Water which is the gift of salvation and everlasting life.
The woman then says “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.” The woman is asking for the gift of salvation.
The woman is not clean from her past. Jesus confronts her with words of knowledge.
The Holy Spirit convicts you of hidden sin!
Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”
The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.”
Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.”
The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.”
Jesus has uncovered the sin in this woman’s life. She now believes Jesus is a prophet and questions Him about where you worship God—on this mountain or in Jerusalem.
I am a Spirit. Worship Me in Spirit and Truth!
Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Jesus tells the woman the time is near (for his death and resurrection). He explains God is a Spirit and we are to worship Him in spirit and truth. The location is not important. Jesus is everywhere.
Jesus has set the example of how a believer can be a powerful witness. He lives under the authority of the Holy Spirit and speaks the words he hears from God.
The anointed words of God will never return void. They will accomplish what God pleases and will prosper in the thing for which God sent it.
The Samaritan woman was convicted by the Holy Spirit through the words of knowledge spoken by Jesus. The words validated Jesus as the Son of God and created awe and respect in the woman’s heart.
She returned to her village and told everyone about Jesus and many became believers.
Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness.
Jesus is speaking to Nicodemus, a Jewish leader, about the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus knew Jesus was a teacher sent from God and recognized the signs Jesus performed were by the power of God.
Jesus told Nicodemus a believer must be born of water and the Spirit to enter the kingdom of God. He said that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. You must be born again to see the splendor of the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus was puzzled by this response and tried to rationalize this truth through his intellect.
Jesus said the wind (Holy Spirit) blows where it wishes and you can hear the sound of it but cannot tell where it comes from or where it goes. Jesus was referring to born again believers walking under the authority and guidance of the Holy Spirit. If you belong to Jesus your life is in His hands and He can do with you as He desires.
Nicodemus still could not get the message. Jesus said you are a teacher of Israel and do not know the spiritual truths of God.
Then Jesus said “We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive our witness”. Jesus was explaining He came from God and has personally seen the greatness and glory of God but Nicodemus was blinded to the witness of Jesus.
Most Christians have a very limited perspective of Jesus and have never experienced the reality of the Living Christ. It is impossible to know Jesus unless you are born again. The spiritual speaks to the spiritual.
The believer must be walking under the authority of the Holy Spirit to know Jesus and to understand the principles of New Testament living.
The born again believer is a new creature in Christ Jesus and his old life has passed away and all things are new. The Holy Spirit has baptized the believer into the death and resurrection of Christ.
The new creature is being transformed into the character of God as he dies to self.
The Christ follower must be willing to surrender to Jesus and let go of the ties to the world. Then the wisdom and power of God will flow into His life.
Jesus invites you to be in His presence and see His majesty and glory. This happens to those who are seriously seeking the will of God for their lives.
