Is Jesus crying over you?

“Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it”

Jesus was entering Jerusalem on His way to face an agonizing death. He looked at the city and wept. Jesus wept because Jerusalem would be destroyed and many would die.

The Israelites did not understand what would bring the peace and protection of God. They were just looking for a king.

The truths of God were hidden from their eyes. They did not repent from intransigence which is the act of refusing or denying the views of God.

They were blinded by a genetic disposition of rebellion against God and a desire to live for self.

You and I have to face our intransigence every day of our life. We were born with an inner nature to defy God and live for self. This condition will never completely leave us while on earth.

If anyone is a new creature in Christ Jesus old things pass away and all things become new. This doesn’t just happen by God and we get a free ride.

We have to dwell in the presence of the Living Christ and seek His will for our life.

Jesus desires to change your thinking patterns, beliefs and motives which are in conflict with His values. He wants to refine you into His character.

Your responsibility is to live under the authority of the Holy Spirit who resides inside you. This requires you to pray, read the Bible, and listen for the voice of God.

As people of God, we have to be open to the conviction and correction of the Holy Spirit. Your relationship with Jesus is defined by sin.

The sanctification of a believer is a relentless work of God. Jesus sees everything in your life and observes all your thoughts and words. He measures your faith in dealing with all the challenges of life.

Jesus is not looking for perfection; He is looking for your openness to change and to let go of worldly living.

Jesus takes your life seriously!

The Living Christ, the only one who can give you a victory!

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

Sometimes in the midst of calamities we forget Jesus promises to lead believers to a victory.

Jesus exercises His resurrected power which can move mountains and shake the earth to lead you in triumph over the evils of the world.

Nothing is impossible for Jesus. He is a God who delivers His people.

Jesus keeps His Word. And, He never changes.

Your unwavering faith in Christ will bring you the victory. Jesus always leads the way. He goes before you in all His plans for your future.

Jesus does not function on a human clock. He thinks and acts in the perfect timing of a Living God who is from everlasting to everlasting.

Jesus always delivers a victory with a spiritual purpose to release a fragrance of His knowledge in every place of your life.

The victory is not your own. Jesus created the victory for the higher purpose to bring glory to His name.

Staying in the moment with the exemplary Christ Jesus!

We live in the world but we do not belong to the world!

You cannot split your time between the world and God. Jesus has to be integrated into every moment of your life. Timeouts with God will bring trouble.

Jesus is the same today as He was three thousand years ago. He is alive and lives in all believers. He wants to be present in your life at all times.

The prayer time in the morning with God should prepare you for all the challenges during the day.

When you move on after spending time with Jesus you are not ending your fellowship with God.

The thread of Jesus must continue in your thoughts and actions over the course of the day.

To avoid lapses with God pray in the free moments of your day.

Jesus lives in you through the Holy Spirit. He is your resource for wisdom and protection. He never shuts down.

Jesus desires to give you a quality life and help you make good decisions. He wants to work through your mind with His thoughts in both the big and routine decisions you face during the course of your day.

This will happen when you invite the Holy Spirit to have authority over your life. This is acknowledging you respect God and want to walk in His footsteps. Remember, God wants to bless your life and keep you away from evil.

The world is under the authority of Satan. He wants to create chaos in the life of a believer. Your roots have to be in God through prayer, reading the Bible, and listening for His voice.

Jesus is alive and never changes. The stories in the Bible are not history. They are taking place today.

The Christ follower can experience the signs and wonders of our great God. Walk by faith and live in oneness with Jesus.

The relevance of Christ!

Intransigence is the reason unbelievers reject Christ. They are not willing or refusing to change their views.

The subject today is the relevance of Christ. Does Jesus have significant and demonstrable influence in your life?

Jesus can be a fantasy, just a name in your life on Sunday or the most important figure in your life.

Jesus is not relevant for many because He asks you to give up your independence and control. And, you must cut your ties to the world.

Jesus wants all of you. He does not want to share you with other gods or idols. This is a stumbling block for many human beings.

Jesus desires a personal, all encompassing relationship with a believer. He knows you better than you know yourself.

What makes Jesus relevant to a human being?

You must meet the Living Christ. Religion will just turn most people off.

The revelation is discovering Jesus is alive and has power and dominion over the heavens and earth.

The Living Christ desires to be a strong presence in your life. You interact with Jesus through the Holy Spirit who lives in all believers. He is the life of Christ.

Come to Jesus by faith and make a commitment to live for Him above all else.

Jesus wants to be the center of your thoughts and alive in all the moments of your life.

Jesus desires to speak to believers and have an ongoing dialogue with you.

You can talk with Jesus as easy and naturally as talking to a close friend. He is always there for you.

The world will eventually destroy you but Jesus will give you an abundant life filled with His goodness. Jesus protects His people.

The gift of salvation has nothing to do with time. It is a method of living in oneness with Jesus and integrating Jesus into your personality and thinking patterns.

Maybe you need forensic evidence to dispel unbelief and prove the authenticity of Jesus.

Just ask Jesus to show you His greatness and glory. There will never be doubt again!

With Jesus the means justify the ends!

You are not your own.

If you are a believer you cannot control your own life or insulate yourself in the world.

When you enter into fellowship with Jesus, he shatters your privacy and takes away your independence.

Your thoughts and plans about your life or ministry are not relevant to Jesus. He does things contrary to human thinking.

God engineers events in your life to break your independence and bring hardship.

God will accomplish His purposes in your life through the suffering and pain of the Cross.

Your self centered thinking and ego have to disappear if you are going to be a strong witness for Jesus.

The deep work of Christ is what makes you a valued and productive disciple. Those around you see the character of Christ.

As a believer, you have to reach the point where you do not care about your life and your only desire is to to let God do with you as He pleases.

Live with Jesus one day at a time believing in His promises and not what you see with your eyes!

The unscripted truth of Christ Jesus!

This narrative presents the reality of the Living Jesus unvarnished of religion or commentaries.

How can you and I have absolute confidence in Jesus regardless of our circumstances? Can a believer be as secure as Jesus?

We all tend to relate to Jesus based on our experiences so when the calamities come our faith is weakened.

The challenge is to know who Jesus is and have a personal and vibrant relationship with Him.

Jesus, the Son of God!

Jesus has power and dominion over the heavens and earth.

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He never changes.

Jesus has a personality and range of emotions just like you and me. He gets angry, cries at times and feels joy.

Jesus is alive and very approachable. He wants to share His life with you.

Jesus is omnipotent. There is no power greater than Jesus. He can destroy a nation in a split second.

Jesus does not think or act like you. He has no ego and views life from a kingdom perspective.

Jesus is omniscient. He sees everything from the past and into the future.

Jesus is unconditional love and desires to give all the gift of eternal life.

Jesus forgives sin and restores believers to God.

Jesus creates new life in a believer. You become transformed into the character of Jesus.

Jesus is a one on one God and desires a personal and intimate relationship. Jesus knows you better than you know yourself.

Jesus lives in you through the Holy Spirit and wants to have an ongoing dialogue with you. He has given all believers the mind of Christ.

Jesus desires to be in all the moments of your life.

Jesus is a healing God. He is a work today healing people all over the world.

Jesus instructs believers to study the Word which is alive and powerful under the influence of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus welcomes your prayers. They strengthen your faith and teach you His values.

Jesus desires for a believer to be a strong witness for Him touching those living in darkness with the Living Water.

Jesus hates religion. He simply wants you walk by faith and seek His will for your life.

Make a commitment to live for Jesus above all else and your life will never be the same.

Jesus is waiting to hear from you!

Getting right with Jesus!

Behold the Son of God who takes away the sin of the world!

The words above are the response of John the Baptist when he saw Jesus.

Sin is a recurring behavior for every human being. This is because you live with an inner condition which is in rebellion to God and there is no way to get rid of it.

God is holy and wants nothing to do with you. The only hope is in Christ Jesus. He understands the frailty of humanity. He sees everything inside you both the good and the bad.

Jesus died to forgive your sins and make you clean before Him but unfortunately we just keep getting dirty. This behavior was repeated by the Israelites time and time again and eventually caused them to be scattered among foreign nations.

This condition became so serious and repulsive to God that He wiped out all humanity except for eight souls. The primary culprit was sexual immorality which is rampant today.

God knows you can never attain His standards of holiness. But He provided a solution which cost Jesus his life. And, Jesus was perfect and did not deserve this punishment.

Jesus was obedient to God and died on the Cross. This horrific death was very good for you and me.

If you are a believer Jesus promises to forgive all your sins and restore you to God. He is also with you for the long run and knows you will stumble at times.

Jesus has sealed you with the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Christ. The Holy Spirit will convict you of sin and keep you on a pathway with Jesus.

Most believers stumble because they do not listen consistently to the voice of Christ. They stray away from the Holy Spirit to live with fleshly motives.

God cannot be treated like an on and off water faucet. You must be alive in the Spirit at all times and operating under His authority. This will protect you from evil and the consequences of sin.

Where sin abounds the grace (love) of God abounds more. Live in the work of the Cross and you can please Jesus.

Jesus declares “I am the good Shepherd!”

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

The definition of a good Shepherd is someone who will lay down his life for the sheep.

The hireling works for his wages and cares about His own needs above the sheep. He is not invested into caring for the future of the sheep or willing to lose his own life for the sake of the sheep.

The good shepherd knows every detail about each one of his sheep. He knows them better than they know themselves. The sheep recognize the voice of the shepherd and will not respond or trust any other voice.

The wolf is Satan who is disguised as a shepherd. He desires to steal, kill and destroy the sheep.

The hireling will not stand in the gap and fight for the lives of the sheep. He will flee to save his own life.

The good Shepherd has perfect motives and cares deeply for his flock. He wants to protect the sheep from evil. The good Shepherd gave up his life so the sheep can live with Him forever.

There is only one flock and one shepherd. All others are false imitations. He is Jesus the Christ!

Jesus declares “ I am the bread of life”!

The thread leading up to the miracle of Jesus feeding five thousand took place in the Old Testament. God provided manna from heaven for the Israelites on their journey to the Promised Land.

Jesus fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish. Afterwards Jesus said “For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

The Israelites responded “Lord, give us this bread always.” Notice the Israelites were more interested in the bread than the promise of life.

Jesus replied “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”

Then Jesus said you have seen Me and yet do not believe.

Jesus ends the dialogue with these words “And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Jesus is speaking about an abundant and everlasting life but the Israelites want the promise of the bread.

The next day Jesus walked on water to get to the other side of the lake.

The Israelites and some of the followers found Jesus and asked Him “Rabbi when did you get here?”

Jesus avoided their question and said “Assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.”

The whole point of this conversation is believers are reminded to labor for the food which does not perish but leads to eternal life.

God has set His seal on Jesus and the bread of life is the gift of salvation.

This text deals with your motives in seeking Jesus. Is your priority the gift or the giver?

Jesus is the giver and promises the gift of salvation. The bread of life is the source of salvation and the life of Jesus.

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

Becoming a captive for Christ!

But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.

We need to let go of the idea of doing things for Christ and understand what it means to be a captive in Christ.

In your spiritual journey, Jesus will lead you into the role of a captive for His purposes. You probably won’t be confined in jail but you will feel very isolated.

This happens because God wants to use you to bring a triumph to His glory. As a captive you participate with intercession and prayer for the priorities of Christ.

Believers like to do a litany of works to feel good and to please God. The revelation from the Holy Spirit is God doesn’t want your works. He wants to set you aside to labor for His purposes.

As a captive for Christ you will be very close to Jesus and enveloped in His purity and glory. In this role you are very valuable to God because you have no motive other than to please Jesus. The world and your self interests can’t muddy up the picture.

The Holy Spirit will guide you into prayer and intercession to set people free and save souls. He is always at work to bring glory to Jesus.

Intercession is filling up your flesh with the afflictions of Christ for His Body the church. The goal is to bring down strongholds and break the power of Satan.

You and I lack the ability to pray like Jesus. Humanistic prayers will get you nowhere! Learn to be silent and yield to the Holy Spirit. He will take you into the gutters of life with groanings to deep to understand.

The victories will come as Jesus spreads the aroma of His life saving knowledge around the world. You may not see all the fruit of your efforts as it is mostly hidden in Christ.

Pray in harmony with the Holy Spirit and Jesus will shake the earth and heavens to bring honor to His name!
