Trying to escape from troubles with Jesus!

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:23

The Christian life is not about escaping trouble but accepting the troubles engineered by God.

The purpose of Jesus for a believer is to dwell in the secret place of the Most High and you will experience strength and protection.

This is a command to seek Jesus through prayer, reading the Word and listening for His voice.

Walking with Jesus is living one day at a time with Him anchored to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will keep a believer aligned with Jesus and filled with His omniscient wisdom.

Jesus instructs His people to find peace in Him but to expect trouble in the world. The world is the antithesis of Jesus and is not under His authority. The role of a Christ follower is die to self and live for Jesus severing his ties to the world.

Jesus has overcome the world and promises comfort and protection for His people. This supernatural peace can be found by letting go of worries and seeking Jesus with prayer and supplication (humbly petitioning Jesus) with a heart of thanksgiving. This will give a believer the peace that surpasses all understanding and guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

The life of Jesus is your protection and strength to be an overcomer. Jesus promises to deliver His people from troubles in His perfect timing.

Making decisions randomly or seeking the counsel of the Spirit of Jesus!

“There is a way that seems right to a man but its end is the way of death.” Proverbs 14:12

We get into trouble in making decisions that seem right in our heart and emotions without checking with Jesus.

It is very dangerous to make decisions without the omniscient wisdom of God living in the End Times. Jesus wants to guard you against the wave of darkness and distress coming to all humanity.

Jesus knows you better than you know yourself. He sees all your strengths and weakness. He knows every detail of your future and how the End Times will impact your life.

The wisdom of the world is not acceptable for a believer. It will lead to trouble and adversity.

Many times we do what feels good in our inner being. The Bible instructs believers to inquire of the counsel of Jesus in making all decisions.

Jesus desires to bring order and simplicity to your life but you must seek His will through the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Jesus and is sealed in all believers.

Invite the Holy Spirit to have authority over your life and He will guide all your decision making. Jesus will protect you from evil and be a powerful refuge in your life.

Commit your works each day to Jesus and pray, read the Word and listen for His voice. Jesus speaks to His people.

Walk in oneness with Jesus yielding to the Holy Spirit and experience the good, acceptable and perfect will of Jesus!

The world is ugly and unstable; Jesus never changes!

“Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever!” Hebrews 13:8

We live in the end times. The world is unstable, filled with darkness and lacking the traditional moral values of the past. There will never be a “normal” again in the world.

It is impossible to find peace in the world. There are wars, evil actions taking place, and people are dying. We have to deal with economic upheaval and work force instability.

Jesus is the only hope for peace and having a virtuous life. He promises to give a believer an abundant life filled with His goodness.

The world will continue to disintegrate with chaos and adversity. This is the perfect plan of Jesus.

We cannot avoid the end times but there is one way to survive. Jesus is the answer. He has power and dominion over the heavens and earth.

Make a decision to live for Jesus above all else is the starting point. This will give you the gift of salvation and the ability to be in the presence of Jesus forever.

Salvation is a living in a personal and embracing relationship with Jesus. The believer hears the voice of Jesus, abides in His powerful presence and is cleansed of all sin with the blood of Jesus.

Salvation is not about religion; it is experiencing the reality of the Living Christ and becoming transformed into a new creature with the values of Jesus.

Jesus offers powerful attributes to believers. He provides strength, wisdom and protection.

Jesus desires to give a believer order and simplicity living in a chaotic world.

Jesus offers stability, powerful promises and He never changes.

Reach out to Jesus today and your life will never be the same!

Choosing the freedom of Jesus or the suffocating effect of religion.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1

The Holy Spirit spoke to me last night about the suffocating influence of religion on a believer.

The Christ follower has to make a choice to live in the freedom of Jesus or become suffocated by religion.

Christianity requires a believer to keep laws, do works and abide in the rules of a church. The believer becomes immersed in religion and loses the personal and embracing relationship with Jesus.

Jesus despises religion because it wants to control a believer. The motives of most churches are self serving.

Jesus came to set people free from sin and give believers a new identity through a “born again” experience.

The purpose of Jesus is to develop a personal relationship with a believer built on faith and obedience. He desires to consistently speak to a believer, teach him the values of Jesus and be very present in his life.

Jesus is not about building your life on works. He wants you to get to know Him personally, understand His ways and walk in oneness with Him anchored to the Holy Spirit.

Jesus died so a believer can have the gift of salvation and live with Jesus forever. Salvation is living in the reality of Jesus one day at a time.

Making a decision for salvation is a life changing experience. The believer dies to self and agrees to live for Jesus above all else.

The Holy Spirit is the portal to walk with the Living Christ. He is sealed in all believers and is the source to the powerful attributes of Jesus.

The believer must invite the Holy Spirit to have authority over his life and follow the omniscient wisdom and guidance of the Spirit.

Jesus offers a life of order and simplicity. Pray vigilantly, read the Word, and listen for His voice.

Commit your works each day to Jesus and seek His good, acceptable and perfect will.

Jesus will give you a life you can never achieve on your own!

Hearing the words of Jesus with understanding!

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63

Many times we read or hear the words of Jesus but cannot understand them. This can be attributed to our lack of spiritual maturity or biblical knowledge.

This also happens because we are not walking in oneness with Jesus and connected to Him through the Holy Spirit.

At times, the words of Jesus can be mysterious and difficult. Jesus is not asking a believer to attempt to connect the words into an accurate interpretation. The revelation will come in the perfect timing of God.

The words may be prophetic about the future. Jesus gives believers signs about their journey with Him but they are not intended for taking immediate action.

It is impossible to interpret the words of Jesus with the human mind. The believer must be filled with the Holy Spirit and yielding to His authority.

The sin of a believer will block the words of Jesus and grieve the Holy Spirit. We have to be clean with the blood of Jesus and open to the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

The words of Jesus are Spirit and can only be grasped by the Spirit sealed in a believer.

This why the Bible instructs believers to abide in the teachings of the Holy Spirit comparing spiritual life with spiritual truth.

God has given every believer the mind of Christ. He will help you navigate through life with the omniscient wisdom of Jesus.

The words of Jesus will never return void and are the most valuable treasure in your life.

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

We hear Jesus through His words in the Bible and when He speaks to us through the Holy Spirit. The words of Jesus are alive and powerful. They are like a sharp sword piercing the depth of a believer and discerning his thoughts and actions.

The words of Jesus have a purpose and will never return void. They are to teach, convict and transform a believer.

The most important task for a Christ follower is to build His life on the precious words of Jesus. They will bring the goodness and protection of Jesus.

Praying to Jesus is about seeking His will for your life. Read the Word and listen for the voice of Jesus.

Jesus has given every believer the mind of Christ and desires to have a constant dialogue with His people. If you don’t listen and obey Jesus there will be trouble and adversity.

It is impossible to follow Jesus unless you are submitting to the authority of the Holy Spirit. Jesus knows you better than you know yourself. The words of Jesus are like treasures from Heaven.

We need the omniscient wisdom of Jesus for protection and guidance. This comes from the Holy Spirit.

Commit your works each day to Jesus and invite the Holy Spirit to have authority over your thoughts and actions. This will be like rain coming down from Heaven in the counsel of Jesus.

Jesus desires for a believer to have the order and simplicity created by words of the Holy Spirit.

The mission of a Christ follower is to cherish and seek the precious words of Jesus!

Resting in Jesus or acting in a panic mode!

“It is not by might nor by power but by My Spirit! “ Zechariah 4:6

Faith has to be real and lived out in a believer. Without faith you cannot please God.

The Christ follower reaches out to Jesus for his every need. He prays for the protection of the Most High. Then he rests in God with unwavering confidence.

The Bible teaches us to cease from striving and enter the rest of Jesus.

We wait patiently on Jesus with praise and confidence in His promises. We do not complain or attempt to solve our troubles through the ways of the world. This is a slap in the face to Jesus and a sign of fear controlling our actions.

Faith is believing in the promises of Jesus and not what you see with your eyes. God calls things that do not exist as if they did. This is how He will deliver you from your troubles

Faith is believing Jesus will give you exceedingly and abundantly more than you ask or think.

Jesus is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him!

Welcoming the presence of Jesus into your life!

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.” Colossians 1:15-16

This is a powerful statement about Jesus. He is the mirror image of God and the first born over all creation. God created all things through Jesus including what you can see and spiritual mysteries invisible to the human eye.

The angels were created by Jesus and all the powers of darkness.

On a more personal perspective, every human being was created by God in His image. This means you!

How do we live in the presence of this powerful and all consuming God?

Jesus is very approachable to a human being. He is a God of unconditional love without any biases. He desires to have a personal and endearing relationship with a believer. Jesus wants to speak to you and be present in all the moments of life.

The first step is to make a decision to live for Jesus above all else and vigilantly seek His will for your life.

Jesus is holy and without sin. It is impossible to live in His presence in your natural condition at birth. The essence of a human is contaminated and not acceptable to Jesus.

Last night Jesus kept showing me the malfeasance in the world which is wrongdoing. The darkness is everywhere.

To live with Jesus the believer has to confess his sins, seek repentance and be covered with the blood of Jesus. He has to have an open heart to correction by the Spirit of God.

The secret to living in the presence of Jesus is the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Jesus and sealed in every believer.

It is crucial for a believer to live under the authority of the Holy Spirit. Pray each morning inviting the Holy Spirit to have authority over all your thoughts and decisions. You will be amazed to hear Jesus speak repeatedly to you and guide your footsteps with His omniscient wisdom.

Jesus is a powerful God and wants the very best for a believer!

Doomsday or trusting Jesus!

Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” Psalm 55:22

The Holy Spirit spoke the word misgiving to me today which is defined as feelings of doubt or apprehension about the outcome or consequences of something.

We all tend to worry about problems and how they will create adversity in our lives. This is a sign of weak faith and lack of belief in Jesus to deliver a believer.

The problems are real but the outcome is projection. As a Christ follower we are trained to trust in Jesus and not react to what we see with our eyes.

There is a very powerful promise from Jesus which will work for anyone dealing with feelings of misgiving.

The biblical solution to feelings of misgivings is to cast them on the shoulders of Jesus. This is releasing them to Jesus and receiving His sustaining power, comfort and peace. Jesus promises He will not allow a believer to be shaken away from the gift of salvation.

The believer must let go of the feelings and allow them to remain with Jesus. They now belong to Him.

This will turn your day from gloom and worry to joy in the power of Jesus!

Jesus has your back!

Jesus why have you let me sink in defeat?

“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13

We all encounter a season when we feel totally defeated and abandoned by Jesus. Why does this happen to a believer trusting in the powerful promises of Jesus?

This is the life pattern of a Christ follower. There are ups and downs and God can seem cruel and harsh at times.

We don’t know why Jesus allows utter defeat to shatter a believer. Jesus does not think or act like a human being so it is impossible to understand His logic and actions.

What we do know is Jesus transforms a believer into His values and character. And, this can be painful and gut wrenching.

We also know that a believer who has made a decision to live for Jesus is under the effects of the Cross. Jesus is creating a new creature in Christ and causing him to die to self and live for Jesus.

The believer must learn to live by faith trusting in the promises of Jesus. Judge Jesus by His Word and not by what you see with your eyes.

Jesus engineers troubles and adversity to strengthen the faith of a believer. The Bible is filled with stories of God’s people suffering personal defeat. Why should a believer think he should be immune from defeat?

The response to suffering defeat and agony is to concentrate on Jesus through prayer, reading the Bible and listening for His voice.

Release feelings of anger, depression and lack of faith to Jesus and pray for inner healing.

Pray for the omniscient wisdom of Jesus and seek His protection.

The safety net for a believer is Jesus keeps His promises and will deliver and restore His people!
