Jesus desires to fill the spiritual void in your life!

“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35

The disciples personally experienced the feeding of the five thousand.

They were hungry and Jesus gave them food for their bodies.

The next day they went looking for Jesus on the other side of the lake.

Jesus confronted the disciples because they were seeking Him for the food that spoils and not the food that endures to eternal life.

Jesus admonished the disciples to seek the bread that comes from heaven.

The challenge in this story is to keep your motives pure in reaching out to Jesus.

There are only two ways to fill the spiritual void in your life. You must come to Jesus and believe in Him.

Come to Jesus with a decision to live for Him. Make Jesus the centerpiece of your life.

Secondly, you must believe in Jesus and walk with Him by faith.

This will entitle you to the bread of life. You will never be hungry or thirsty for the life of Jesus.

The Holy Spirit who is the life of Jesus is sealed inside all believers. He is the source of the Living Water.

The Holy Spirit will nourish your soul and fill you with the attributes of Jesus.

Your relationship with Jesus will not prevent you from dealing with adversities or facing droughts in your journey through life.

Your foundation has to be laid on Christ crucified. He has to be first and foremost in your life. Nothing can supersede Him. You must worship Jesus for who He is and not for what you want from Him.

Your aspirations must be to first seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

You do this through prayer, meditating on the Word and listening for His voice.

To walk with Jesus you must live under the authority of the Holy Spirit. He is your guiding light and teacher.

I am the way the truth and the life. I can do for you what you can never do for yourself!

How to follow in the footsteps of Jesus?

“Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” Matthew 6:10

How can a Christ follower do the will of God as it is done in heaven?

This seems like a hopeless request from Jesus.

You and I have never been to heaven so how do we conduct ourselves as if we were in heaven.

We live in a sinful and corrupt world. Everyday we have to deal with the conflict between living in the Spirit or the flesh.

Our bodies have not been fully sanctified so we still have an inner being that wants to live for self.

And, we have to deal with the tactics of Satan every single day.

We cannot think or act like God. And, Jesus is unpredictable and controversial in His actions.

This is what we know about doing the will of God:

Make a decision to live for Jesus above all else. Give Him all of your life without any exclusions.

Walk with Jesus by faith believing in His promises regardless of the circumstances in your life.

Wake up each day and commit your works to God.

Pray for wisdom on how to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Ask God to show you how to pray and make intercession for those in bondage to sin.

Invite the Holy Spirit to have authority over your life.

Meditate on the Word of God.

Listen for the voice of God and respond with obedience to His instructions.

Praise Jesus with your thoughts and words.

Seek repentance for your sins and ask Jesus to cover you with His blood.

Open your heart up to the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

Seek peace and pursue it in all your relationships.

Pray for the strength of Christ to help you meet every challenge in your life.

Don’t strive to do ministry for Jesus. Wait upon God and He will reveal your ministry through the Holy Spirit.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

The will of God is doing the routine tasks of life and interacting with family, friends, and colleagues under the auspices of the Holy Spirit.

Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with the Living Water so you can be a powerful witness for Jesus.

Wait upon the Lord. It is not by might nor by power but by My Spirit.

Jesus has the power to appoint believers to offices in the Body of Christ and the right to grant privileges to His people. This happens to those who seek out His will with a passion of dedication and loyalty to Christ Jesus

A penchant of the flesh or a stirring of Christ!

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17

As human beings we all struggle with our emotions and desires. And, sometimes we get off track with God.

The wisdom from God today is to be able to delineate between a penchant of the flesh and a stirring of Christ.

The definition of penchant is a strong or habitual liking for something or tendency to do something.

A penchant desire is usually associated with a compulsive behavior.

The spirit of religion operating under the pretense of God can also mislead you into a penchant behavior.

God wants you to be free of all habits and wake up each day seeking His will without any compulsion.

Habits deprive you of operating under the freedom of the Holy Spirit. They block God from getting your attention

The penchant individual is driven by a strong desire which he cannot control or release to God. The motives of a penchant person are to please his inner being.

The test to determine the source of your desires is to simply place the desire on the altar of God and walk away from it. If you are free of the desire you are operating under the authority of the Holy Spirit.

If you cannot let go of the desire you are operating under the flesh or the control of an evil spirit.

The stirring of Christ is a quiet voice speaking to your soul.

Wait upon God until you hear His voice.

There is no striving or debate in hearing the voice of God. You respond with obedience.

The Holy Spirit will anoint and equip you to do the work of God. He will break habits that deprive you of the fullness of God.

It is not by might nor by strength but by the Spirit of God.

There is a way that seems right to a man but its end is destruction.

Winning through Christ!

“Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord” Exodus 14:13

Greetings,

The Holy Spirit spoke to me this morning about winning through Christ. I am sharing His thoughts with you.

I give and I take. My hand is over the difficult times in your life.

The people of Christ get so immersed in their troubles they forget I am a God of victory. I bring victories to My people so I can be glorified.

Satan has a strong influence in the lives of believers. There is also the conflict between your fleshly indulgences and the Holy Spirit.

My mission is to protect you from the attacks of Satan and deliver you from the destructive tactics of the evil one.

Learn through Me in dealing with the trials of life. I know you better than you know yourself.

I am at work to perfect you in My ways.

My goal is to strengthen your faith so you can live in abandonment to Me regardless of the conditions in your life.

I am removing the impediments in your life that block the fullness of My Spirit.

This can be painful at times but is an expression of My utmost love for you.

Victories will come in My perfect timing. I alone will deliver you from your troubles. I am a powerful God.

Seek Me out for wisdom and peace. Then stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.

My desire is for you to live in oneness with Me and be a powerful witness for My name.

I am Christ the Lord and there is no one like Me!

I suffered and died so you can have the ultimate victory of living with Me forever!

Living in the demarcation lines of Christ!

“For in Him we live and move and have our being.” Acts 17:28

I am the Living Christ. Abide in Me and I will abide in you!

The word from God today is understanding the demarcation lines of Christ.

If you are a believer God has established boundaries in your life.

You and I must live in these boundaries or we will encounter adversity.

God will change the boundaries during your journey with Him.

The boundaries are different for each believer. They exist for your protection.

How can you understand and stay within the boundaries of God?

Here are some suggestions:

Pray constantly seeking God’s direction for your life.

Be open to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Invite Him to search your heart.

Give the Holy Spirit authority over your life.

You cannot escape the scrutiny of God. Be still and listen for the voice of God.

Meditate on the Word of God. The precepts of God are perfect, converting the soul.

Don’t take God for granted. He is unpredictable and acts in mysterious ways. You cannot think or act like God.

You can be walking in the perfect path of God and still face adversities. There are different seasons for a Christ follower. And, God trains you through the trials.

The life of Christ is alive within you through the Holy Spirit. He desires to speak to you and teach you the values of Christ. The Holy Spirit is the source of all the attributes of Christ.

God is omniscient. He sees everything in your life-past, present and future. He is your life preserver.

The judgments of God are designed to warn believers about missteps. Nothing happens to a believer by coincidence.

God will get your attention in many different ways. I have been literally slammed to the ground more than once over my words or feelings.

We have to take God seriously. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Working for Jesus or living in His presence?

“That they may be one even as we are one” John 17:11

The big fallacy of Christianity is the idea a believer has to find a calling from God and become immersed in a ministry.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The goal of a believer is “Not my will but Yours be done.” You give up the rights to your life and allow God to do with you as He pleases.

The will of God is for you to live in oneness with Jesus and touch others with the Living Water.

You wait on God for a specific calling into a ministry. This will keep your ego and self interests out of the picture.

God desires for you to abandon yourself to Him without compromise or limitations. This is the starting point to experiencing the reality of the Living Christ.

Abandonment is not about work; it is learning to live with the values of Christ and to be obedient to His voice.

The purpose is to walk with Jesus by faith grounded in the Holy Spirit.

Your relationship with Jesus is defined by sin.

The penalty of sin is death. And, sin will diminish the power of the Holy Spirit in your life.

Seek God out for instruction on how you can please Him with your words and actions.

You have the mind of Christ and He desires to speak to you. Listen for His voice!

The goal of God is to keep you on track with Him. This is why it is so important to be in a conscious relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

The Living Christ has power and dominion over the heavens and earth. He wants to give you a life you can never achieve on your own.

Interacting with God is not by might nor by power but by the Holy Spirit!

The most important priorities for a believer are to walk by faith, cease from striving and enter My rest, and live in oneness with Me through the Holy Spirit. My works will come to you by abiding in the Holy Spirit.

Understanding the favor of Christ!

“For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them.” Psalm 44:3

This is a difficult subject because God’s favor is impossible to understand with human logic. And, religion muddles the picture.

God wants to be glorified through your actions and He accomplishes this in ways we cannot comprehend.

At times, God favors unbelievers and seems to neglect those who love Him.

The favor of God has nothing to do with doing good works or immersing yourself in religion.

There is no obligation on the part of God to bless you because of your works.

You cannot influence the favor of God. Jesus determines when and how He will favor a believer.

God creates different seasons in the life of a believer. There are times of prosperity and times of drought.

Sometimes God removes His favor because He is refining you into the character of Jesus and strengthening your faith. This testing seems like punishment but it is God’s way of training you for His plans to make you a powerful witness for Jesus.

Here are some suggestions to help you understand the favor of God.

The favor of God comes upon those who walk by faith believing in the promises of Jesus.

God honors those who love Him with all their heart.

God favors those who listen for His voice and are obedient to His instructions.

God loves those who pray and earnestly seek to build a personal relationship with Him.

God looks at your heart. Do you have a genuine desire to do His will regardless of the cost?

Your self efforts to be an upright believer won’t bring the favor of Christ.

God has to prove you can do nothing without His favor.

This will happen when you meet the Living Christ and discover His greatness and your insignificance.

This epiphany will allow you to see your impoverished soul and the sovereignty of almighty God.

Religion teaches you must do good works and keep the laws of God to be favored.

You can throw this heresy out the window.

Walk by faith yielding to the authority of the Holy Spirit. This will please God and draw you into His presence.

The Christ follower must learn the importance of transparency. You must see Me for who I am and not through the lens of religion. The reality of Christ is difficult to perceive because you must be baptized into My death to be able to receive the fullness of My riches.

Dealing with sin through the power of the Holy Spirit!

“He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

Your relationship with Jesus is defined by sin!

Sin is the bottleneck in dealing with God. And, it never goes away. The Holy Spirit examines all your thoughts, words, and decisions to determine if you are operating with the motives of Jesus.

There is both conscious and unconscious sin. As a believer, you are aware of conscious sin as the Holy Spirit convicts you of what is not consistent in your life with the values of Jesus.

Then it is just a matter of praying to Jesus to forgive you and pour His blood over you. And, you must turn away from the darkness and live in the light of Christ. You can do this by yielding to the Holy Spirit who lives in all believers.

Unconscious sin is an entirely different situation. This is because you were born with an inner nature to defy the ways of God.

You and I are self driven people and it takes many years for the Holy Spirit to transform you into the character of Jesus.

Jesus accomplishes this by engineering trials in your life. They cause pain and suffering but work to strengthen your faith and fill you with the righteousness of God.

There is also the effect of Satan on your life. Last night in a vivid and graphic dream from God I saw how Satan creates a stronghold over a human being.

You open a door for a demon to enter and take control of your life.

This happens when you cross the line and allow an evil thought or desire to be conceived as sin within your heart.

This action will cause you to come under the control of a demon who wants to destroy and kill.

The afflicted one has no capability to stop the demonic behaviors.

The stronghold cannot be broken by persuasion or religious methods.

The only solution for helping someone with a stronghold is to pray and seek intercession from Jesus to set the person free.

The person in bondage must hit “rock bottom” and be willing to reach out for help. At this point, he can be delivered and set free through spiritually mature believers working under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

You and I can deal with sin by inviting the Holy Spirit to have authority over our life and living in obedience to the voice of God.

All Jesus asks of you is to be willing to change and have an open heart to Him!

Why does Jesus create spiritual confusion!

“It is not my will but Yours be done.” Luke 22:42

Religion teaches you confusion is caused by Satan and it is an easy solution to clear your mind of all confusion. This is a very simplistic and shallow view of this subject.

Confusion comes because you cannot understand God. Jesus is not predictable and does not allow you to see very far into the future.

Fiery trials begin to happen in your life. God seems to take you to places that make no sense. At times, it seems like God does not want order or peace in your life.

You and I are human beings incapable of thinking or acting like God. We become confused because we cannot understand why God is so unpredictable and illogical in His actions.

At times, He seems cruel and harsh. Why would a neighbor slam the door on a man simply asking for a loaf of bread?

God is doing an invisible work to perfect you in His ways.

It is impossible to find spiritual clarity through intellectual reasoning or logic.

God is testing you to see if you can live in oneness with Him when He seems vague and all you can see is a blanket of fog.

The purpose of God is to mold you into a person who is totally devoted and obedient to Jesus.

Jesus wants you to be able to function in difficult situations trusting Him for your every need.

The upmost importance in the mind of God is sin. It defines your relationship with God.

Your self nature has to die before you can be a powerful witness for Jesus.

God has to prove that you can do nothing without the efficacy of the Holy Spirit.

God works in many diverse ways to demonstrate you are unworthy, undeserving and have nothing of value to offer to Jesus.

God desires for you to live in oneness with Him without any conscIousness of His plans for you. This is difficult because religion teaches you must be in a works driven ministry and as believers we an inner passion to do things to please God. This can cause anguish and confusion in the lives of believers.

The method of dealing with spiritual confusion is to pray vigilantly, speak praises to God and listen for His voice.

Walk by faith and take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus.

Rest in God and do not make any big decisions until the cloud is lifted off and God gives you the perfect clarity of the mind of Christ.

Most Christ followers attempt to overcome confusion through rational thinking and the teachings of religion. They do not understand how I work. I bring My people to their knees to comprehend who I am and their imperfection as a human being. I am Christ the Lord and there is no one like Me.

Facing the calamities of life foreordained by Jesus!

“And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed by.” Psalm 57:1

The word from God today is perseverance when you are living in a whirlwind dealing with the trials of life ordained by Jesus.

It’s okay with God for you to feel anger, depression, and sadness over the adversities of life.

Jesus experienced many of the same feelings but He did not let them keep Him from His mission with God. And, they did not lead Jesus into sin.

As mere mortals filled with a sinful inner nature how can we find perseverance to overcome the calamities of life?

The response is we have to keep turning back to God in spite of the pain and suffering.

Accept in your heart Jesus is the Son of God and He can do with you as He pleases. Yours is not to question but to praise Him.

We have to accept the will of God even when it seems like torture and cruelty.

Return to God with prayer, praise, and walk with Him by faith after He knocks you to the ground.

Get off the ground even though you are hurt and walk by faith believing in His promises.

Confess your sins and ask Jesus to cover you with His blood. Be open to the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

The trials of God are designed to crucify your self nature. Think of the punishment as a reward from God. He is preparing you for big things which will bring glory to His name.

Jesus keeps His Word. He will deliver you!

When my heart is overwhelmed;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
