The baptism of the Holy Spirit!

“He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Matthew 3:11

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is how you change from unworthy to blameless before Christ! It is a surgical work of God changing your heart and soul.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit has nothing to do with spiritual gifts.

The handiwork of God is the process of regeneration from your natural condition at birth into a new creature in Christ Jesus.

This takes place through the work of the Water and the Spirit. The Water makes you clean in the eyes of Jesus and the Spirit baptizes you into the death and resurrected life of Christ.

Walking with Jesus is a lifelong process of conviction and repentance. You are on a spiritual journey to die to self and live for Christ.

God makes you look at your human nature and see how you can never come close to the standards of Jesus.

Jesus wants nothing from your natural condition at birth. He wants you to see your poverty and seek out the life of Christ.

This brutal examination is the beginning of new life with Christ. You come humbly to God seeking His blood and forgiveness.

The moment you think you are a righteous believer the Holy Spirit will sternly rebuke you with the fires of God.

There is only one way you can live in a symbiotic relationship with God. Walk with Jesus by faith under the authority of the Holy Spirit.

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus will set you free from the law of sin and death.

The righteousness of God is a gift from Jesus. You do not own it!

When Jesus takes away the crutches!

“But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you” 1 John 2:27

As a new believer, God provides support through mature leaders, friends, and church activities.

The initial purpose of God is to strengthen your faith and help you understand fundamental spiritual truths. The end goal is to bring you into a oneness with Jesus without the need for the crutches.

God will gradually take away the crutches because He desires a one on one relationship with you. And, He wants you to be totally dependent and confident in Him.

At times, you will feel isolation from the Body of Christ as God wants you to face Him for your every need.

This is in no way to demean the purpose of a church. The church is designed to prepare and equip you to walk with God.

The purpose of God is to send believers out into the world to be a powerful witness for Jesus and draw unbelievers into a relationship with Him.

Each day we have to look into the face of Jesus. He convicts you of sin, points out all your frailties and short comings and teaches you His values. This intense examination by God is to prepare you to be a powerful light touching those living in darkness.

As a Christ follower you are sealed with the glory of God through the Holy Spirit.

The glory of God saves lives. This powerful light penetrates the heart and soul.

The glory of God comes to believers who have sacrificed their life for Jesus and have been crucified into His death. It is a move of the Spirit in the life of a believer.

God will manifest His glory through you to draw people to Jesus. Moses face was illuminated with the glory of God after coming down from Mount Sinai.

The glory of God is not for your personal pleasure or to be kept to yourself.

The glory of God defines His character.

God is driven by unconditional love to save souls. He is holy and without sin, He is all powerful and He is everlasting.

The glory of God is a precursor of Heaven.

God gives believers glimpses of His glory to reaffirm and strengthen your faith in His promises.

The glory of God changes lives!

I am with you always. Draw near to Me and I will draw near to you!

Reaching the pinnacle of success with Jesus!

God spoke to me recently about the importance of walking in oneness with Jesus. He reminded me this is how Jesus prays for you and me.

Jesus said very few understand this spiritual principle. They attempt to perform for me while I am asking them to live and move and have their being centered in My presence.

How do you walk in oneness with Jesus?

The starting point is to make a decision to live for Jesus above all else. This initiates becoming a new creature in Christ Jesus sealed with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus wants to develop a personal and embracing relationship with you. Your goal is to be centered in the Living Christ and be in touch with His presence. Jesus wants to speak to you and share His life with you.

Walk with Jesus by faith believing in His promises. Reach out to Him for your every need.

Approach Jesus with a repentant heart and ask Him to cover you with His blood.

Jesus told me last night we all make “incongruent” decisions which are not compatible with God. They restrict the flow of the Living Water into your heart and soul. Come to Jesus with your secret sins. He wants to set you free.

Develop a vigilant and consistent prayer life.

Meditate on the Word of God to learn the values of Jesus and how to live them out in your life.

Invite the Holy Spirit to have authority over all the intricacies in your life.

Commit your works each day to God and pray for a heart of wisdom.

God wants your undivided loyalty to Him. He will test you to the ends of the earth to determine your allegiance to Him. When God speaks to you respond with obedience without questioning His motives.

Cease from striving and rest in God. Remember, it is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of God.

Finally, Jesus wants you to have a submissive heart and a deep conviction to seek His will.

He is God and can do with me as He pleases!

How to impress Jesus?

God measures your spiritual maturity by your faith in His promises.

You were born without the ability to live by faith.

Faith is an inherited gift from Jesus to all believers. It is the only way of interacting with God. Without faith you cannot please God.

Faith is an intrinsic quality. The faith lived out by Jesus while on the earth is sealed inside you in the essence of the Holy Spirit. It is your responsibility to walk by faith in all real life situations. Faith is a lifestyle of living and believing the promises of God.

The journey with God will take you through many different seasons. When life is good faith tends to becomes moot or illusive to most believers. Faith loses its importance in the scheme of life.

The storms of life are orchestrated by God. They cause you to either walk in unyielding faith or panic and seek worldly solutions. Your response to the crises of life will determine your standing with God.

Daniel walked by faith with God. He was willing to enter a lion’s den and face a painful death.

This courage is what God is looking for in your life. When on the brink of disaster or facing death you choose to stand firm in trusting God.

How can you reach this kind of risk taking faith with God?

This begins with meeting the Living Christ and making a genuine decision to live for Him above all else. At this time, you are sealed with the Holy Spirit who is the life of Christ. He teaches you how to walk by faith and gives you glimpses of the transfigured Christ.

As you walk by faith, God will demonstrate His power and greatness in real life situations. This will give you the confidence to believe God in the most dire of circumstances.

Nothing is impossible for God! Your faith will motivate God to move mountains and deliver you from adversity.

He is Christ the Lord. And, there is no one like Him!

Living in the presence of an angry God!

“Who knows the power of Your anger? For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath.” Psalm 90:11

No one wants to hear about an angry God!

We all want to hear about the love, mercy and compassion of Jesus. How do you reconcile the gentle nature of Jesus with the reality of God’s anger?

Moses spent more time with God than any other human being. He understood the personality of God and His emotions.

You and I cannot grasp the power of the anger of God. At one time, God was so angry He destroyed all humanity except for eight souls.

God spoke to the Israelites after the exodus from Egypt and told them to stone to death anyone who entices you to follow false Gods. This admonition included your close family members.

This is just an example of the retribution of God. This thread can be seen throughout the history of God. The point is God never changes and He hates those who worship false gods.

We have to fear God for who He is and respect the power of His anger. He can make your life miserable or strike you dead in a split second.

How do you deal with an angry God?

The counsel is very simple. Commit each day to God and pray for a heart of wisdom. Seek God out with prayer and praise Him for His greatness and glory.

Ask Jesus to cover you with His blood and open your heart up to the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

Remember, there is no one not one who can come close to the standards of God.

Jesus doesn’t care about religion. He is looking for loyalty and obedience to His voice.

The jealousy of God is like a consuming fire. He wants all of you and is not willing to share you with false gods or idols.

The road less traveled to reach God!

The subject for this narrative came from God and deals with choosing the road leading to the Living Christ.

The word from the Holy Spirit today is understanding the providential nature of God.

Jesus is alive and desires to intervene in the life of a believer. He is a God who offers strength, wisdom, joy and protection. He delivers His people from adversity.

Jesus operates on the principle of faith. You have to believe in His promises and walk by faith and not by what you see with your eyes.

There are two roads to choose from in following God.

Most people take the road leading to the wide gate. This gate is easy to enter and allows you to have a mostly unrestricted lifestyle. You become introduced to a distant God but He is never a reality in your life. Faith tends to be an intellectual concept and is not lived out.

The other road leads to a narrow gate. Very few enter this gate and the journey is difficult and unpredictable.

This is a life of dying to self and living for Jesus. You walk by faith believing in the promises of God without any evidence.

This road requires you to give up the right to yourself. And, your desires and goals must be subservient to the will of God.

God requires total obedience to His voice without questioning Him.

This is a journey with the Living Christ. You enter into an embracing and vibrant relationship with Jesus. He speaks to you and shares His greatness and glory with you.

The eternal outcome for a believer walking with Jesus is an endless life.

Most importantly, Jesus will do for you what you can never do for yourself.

He is a game stopper!

Dealing with God in a turbulent season!

“If the foundations are destroyed,
what can the righteous do?” Psalm 11:3

The misery index is at an all time high. How can you and I deal with God living in a turbulent and upside down world?

God is not going to allow you to live in the bubble of His glory during these dark times. And, He will not allow you to escape or insulate yourself from the evil in the world.

You cannot approach God as in the days of the past. We all have to change to deal with the strong influence of the Antichrist in the world.

The first step is to accept that God is angry and pouring out His judgments on the world.

You can deal with the anger of God through repentance and the blood of Christ. Make sure you are right with God above all else.

Do not accept a sugar coated version of Jesus and live blindly to His nature of retribution.

God blesses and He curses. And, He is not in a mood to relent from His anger.

God can end the evil today but He does not intend to do so at this time. He is obligated to stand behind His prophetic Word concerning the end times.

Satan is in the final stages of attempting to take over the world. His influence is everywhere you look.

The heart of God can be found in the remnant people of Christ. This is where God is at work to defeat Satan.

The remnant is composed of believers willing to die for Christ and who are obedient to His voice regardless of the cost.

Satan will be destroyed by Jesus in His perfect timing through the powerful hand of of God.

However, now is a time of preparation for the return of Jesus. We all have to turn away from darkness and live in the light of Christ.

God is at work today to defeat Satan. He has assembled a team of anointed intercessors to bring down Satan’s strongholds.

Intercession is a grueling twenty four hour seven day a week mission sacrificing your life for God. The result is defeating Satan and setting people free.

God is raising up apostles, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to participate in the greatest revival in the history of our world.

Thousands will come to God and witness powerful signs and wonders performed by our Creator.

This is a time for all believers to confront evil through the resurrected power of Christ. You can do this through vigilant prayer and the work of the Holy Spirit. God wants you to be a strong witness for Jesus through your words and actions.

Don’t look to religion to fight this battle for you. Most of the leaders are oblivious to the reality of God and will tell you what you want to hear not the words of God.

Ask God how you can be a valuable asset in doing His Work? Then be prepared to enter the combat zone!

Making a transaction with God today!

“Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven” Matthew 6:10

What does God want from you today?

The transaction with God is usually about your relationship with Him. It is not so much about doing something but how you are living with your Creator.

Are you walking by faith and living in oneness with Jesus through the Holy Spirit?

Are you praising God regardless of your circumstances?

Do you have emotions holding you back from the fullness of God?

Are you complaining about your troubles?

Are you doubting the promises of God?

Are you seeking God with a contrite heart and asking for Jesus to cover you with His blood?

Are you seeking the will of God and listening for His voice?

The transaction with God is learning to be obedient to His voice without understanding why or where or what are His purposes.

The transaction will always deal with the ordinary moments of life. This is where God teaches and disciplines His people.

The wisdom from God usually deals with today concerning your work, family, and actions to be taken. Tomorrow is another day with God.

Sometimes just ask God for a precious pearl of wisdom to sustain you through the day.

The will of God is an internal matter between you and God. The internal has to be in harmony and compliance with God before He will release you into the external world to do His work!

How to make the Lord your dwelling place?

“Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.” Psalm 91:9-11

Think of your dwelling place as where you can go at anytime and find Me!

The promises of God are awesome to those who make their dwelling place in God and love Him with all of their heart.

As an example, I was praying to God in the early years of my spiritual journey and I suddenly saw a volcano spewing lava all over the land. I saw my house untouched by the destruction of the flowing lava. This is how God protects those who dwell with Him.

The challenge is how do you dwell in the house of the Lord? I will attempt to deal with this subject avoiding all the religious cliches that turn people off and focus on the unvarnished truths of God.

The first step is you have to make God the priority or centerpiece of your life. This is a decision of the heart without compromise.

By faith acknowledge that Jesus has power and dominion over the heavens and earth.

Jesus desires to live in a symbiotic relationship with you and become your best friend.

Jesus offers you the gift of salvation so you can live with Him forever.

This miracle happens to all those who make a genuine decision for Jesus.

At this decisive moment, God seals you with the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Jesus. This is the same life Jesus displayed while on the earth.

The Holy Spirit will speak to you, give you wisdom and protect you from evil. He is the source of all the attributes of Jesus.

Your responsibility is to seek out God through prayer with a desire to please Him.

Remember, God wants you undivided devotion to Him above all else. He does not want to share you with false gods or idols. He wants all of you.

You can get to know the values of God through His word. Make a habit of reading the Bible for a few minutes everyday.

Walk with God by faith reaching out to Him for your every need.

Listen for the voice of God and respond with obedience to His instructions.

To get in touch with the reality of the Living Christ you must invite the Holy Spirit to have authority over your life.

This decision will cause God to be infused in all the details of your life. Like Jesus you will be walking in oneness with God.

The Holy Spirit will be in your thoughts and help you make good decisions in both the ordinary and life changing moments of life.

Jesus is not a distant God. He lives in you and wants to give you a life you can never achieve on your own.

It can be brutal looking at yourself through the eyes of God!

“So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.” Romans 14:11

At times, facing God is a very difficult and painful experience. The words of Jesus can be like a sharp knife stabbing your heart and soul.

Most believers rejoice over the good and uplifting words from God and tend to gloss over or minimize the convicting words of Jesus.

If you want the fullness of God you have to be open to His introspection into your personality and soul.

God will often lay out your life before your eyes and the picture can be pretty ugly. He does this to remind you He is God and you are a self motivated individual who cannot restrain yourself from the desires of your flesh.

The judgment seat of God is unavoidable. You can face God today and deal with Him over your sins or take your chances as you attempt to enter the portal to Heaven.

Come to God with humility and a broken heart recognizing you can never match up to His standards. Let God have His way with you!

If you think you are a righteous person you are deluding yourself! There is no one not one!
