How to defeat the encroaching darkness of Satan!

“The battle is not yours but God’s” 2 Chronicles 20:15

Last night God spoke to me about the darkness attempting to destroy believers.

If you are a Christ follower, Satan is orchestrating a plan to steal, kill and destroy you. Just open your eyes and look around. The evidence is overwhelming!

The counsel from God to deal with this threat comes from the Holy Spirit who spoke the words of scripture above to me in the middle of last night.

Jehoshaphat was the king of Judah. He was alerted to a multitude of enemy forces   coming to destroy His kingdom. The King prayed to God and ordered a fast for all the people.

Jahaziel, a Levite, spoke the words of God to the King. “The battle is not yours but God’s.”

He told Jehoshaphat to position his troops in a strategic position and then stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. He said you will not need to fight in this battle for God is with you.

The enemy forces were all destroyed by the hand of God and the Israelites praised the glory of almighty God.

The counsel of God is to recognize the battle between light and darkness is not your battle to fight. You are too weak to deal with Satan on your own.

Pray to God for wisdom and protection against the wiles of Satan and then stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.

This battle will be won by those who listen to the voice of God and respond with prayer and intercession to bring down strongholds.

Last night I also saw the hand of God remove several leaders in the Body of Christ for failing God.

It is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit!

The contradiction between your flesh and the Spirit!

“Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.” John 3:6

The word from God today is the contradiction relating to your walk with Jesus.

You and I live in a state of contradiction and this condition will never leave you on this earth.

You were born with an inner condition to live for self and defy God.

Jesus provides you with the ability to overcome this contradiction. You have to be born of the Spirit of Christ. The decision for Jesus seals you with the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Christ.

The Spirit baptizes you into the life of Christ. You become a new creature in Christ Jesus and the Spirit transforms you into the character of Jesus.

This is where the contradiction becomes intense. You have to make a choice between living for self or living under the influence of the Holy Spirit.

We all vacillate between these two opposing forces and fail God many times.

The solution to this contradiction is to be deeply rooted in the Holy Spirit. This happens by giving Him authority over your life and requires vigilant prayer, living in His Word and listening to His voice.

The Holy Spirit will show you how to compare spiritual things with spiritual.

The Holy Spirit teaches you the truths of God and how to apply the values of Jesus in your life. God wants to interact with you in all the moments of life where you have to deal with relationships, making decisions, and avoiding compulsive behaviors.

The ephaney of a Christ follower is to understand God wants to engage you in a vibrant and intimate relationship. He lives in you, wants to speak with you and guide your pathway.

He is a Living Christ!

There is a way that seems right to a man but its end is destruction!

Can you really confront God?

“Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them.” Exodus 32:10

The word from God today deals with questioning or confronting God.

As a believer, you and I have a right to confront God. However, we cannot do this with anger or bitterness. And, we have to understand God will listen to our words but He alone will ultimately determine the justice of your situation.

Aaron and a number of the Israelites built a golden calf and worshipped this false god while Moses was with God on Mount Sinai.

This made God irate. He told Moses He was going to destroy all the Israelites.

Moses pleaded with God and reminded Him of His everlasting covenant with Abraham.

Moses told God you delivered your people out of Egypt and all witnessed your greatness and glory. And, now you want to destroy them. How do you think the Egyptians will react to a God who rescues and then kills His favored people.

God listened to Moses and then relented from His threat.

When God swears by His own words He will not relent from His promises. He cannot do this because He never changes and His Words endure forever.

The truth in this spiritual principle is God keeps His promises made to you. God might get angry over your actions and punish you but He is bound by His Word.

You do have a right to confront God and plead your concerns. Speak to God on His terms which are His words.

Be sure to listen to the response of God and abide in His wisdom.

The end game is you have to wait upon God by faith for the fruition of His promises. He will never fail you!

The Messianic complex!

“Like a sheep being led to the slaughter” Isaiah 53:7

Jesus is the Messianic complex. He was created by God with a calling to be a sacrifice for sin. The complex is the working out of Jesus in your life.

The Messianic complex is a reflection of the love of God for you!

Jesus began life with His Father, came to earth in human form and then returned to be with His Father in Heaven.

Jesus was motivated by the desires of His Father.

Jesus was humble, innocent and without sin. He was led by His Father to be slaughtered.

Jesus was a man of many sorrows and suffered grief.

Jesus can identify with you. He was in a human form living on the earth. Jesus has a personality and range of emotions just like you.

Jesus was oppressed and despised by many.

Jesus died for your sins. By the blood of Jesus you are healed and can stand blameless before God.

The Messianic complex lives in all believers. We are not called by God to die on a Cross but we are crucified into the death and resurrected life of Jesus.

As a believer, you and I have a higher calling from God. The decision for Jesus begins a pilgrim’s journey to live with God forever. Your ultimate prize is to be resurrected from death to live with Jesus in Heaven.

The journey with God is difficult. Jesus is at work to refine you into His image. This causes pain and suffering.

The Messianic complex provides you with the promises of Jesus and seals you with the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Jesus.

You navigate through your journey by faith believing in the promises of Jesus anchored to the Holy Spirit. He is the source of the Living Water and offers you all the attributes of Jesus.

Come meet the Living Christ. There is no one like Him!

The consequences of failing God!

“An adversary there shall be even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled.” Amos 3:11

The word from God today is about retribution. God blesses and He curses.

God has spoken to me about releasing judgments targeting the Body of Christ.

This is happening because most leaders whitewash the truths of God to appeal to our changing culture and the attitudes of society.

The Holy Spirit is not honored or respected. The function and importance of the Spirit of Christ is minimized or completely disregarded.

Most believers do not listen to the voice of God or respond with obedience.

God wants you to have an embracing and vibrant relationship with Jesus while religion wants to immerse you into keeping laws and doing works.

Jesus wants you to worship Him while religion wants you to worship an institution.

For these reasons, God will remove His Spirit and voice from many in the Body of Christ.

God has now released an adversary who will bring a plague upon the people and destroy your palaces (or places of safety). I saw this last night with my own eyes.

It will be very difficult to find the strength of Christ as He destroys the foundations.

All of this happened to the Israelites and is now taking place in the Body of Christ. God never changes. He is a God of retribution.

The scrutiny of Christ in the days ahead will be more intense in those who are serious about living for God. Nothing escapes the eyes of Jesus.

The response to this harsh action of God is to walk with Jesus by faith anchored to the Holy Spirit. Jesus is your dwelling place. Worship Him in Spirit and Truth.

Live in oneness with Jesus under the direction and authority of the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Christ and lives in you.

Commit your works each day to Jesus and listen for His voice. Jesus loves you!

When the words of Jesus pierce your heart!

“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Matthew 16:14

We wake up with enthusiasm and a zealous desire to be with Jesus. Then He speaks and all the air goes out of our lungs. We become filled with sorrow and regret. The Cross is just too much to endure!

Jesus touches the most precious things in your heart and tells you they must go if you want the fullness of His life.

At this point you have to make a decision to obey Jesus or walk away with a saddened heart.

Can you imagine the feelings of Abraham waiting upon God for many years to give him a son and then God says sacrifice Isaac to Me?

The words of Jesus are both uplifting and deeply convicting. We tend to accept the uplifting and reject the demoralizing words. They just hurt too much and the sacrifice is unbearable.

You have to be willing to sacrifice everything in your life if you want the fullness of Jesus. He wants all of you without any expectations.

The cost to follow Jesus is very expensive but the results are spectacular and everlasting!

Separating yourself unto our Holy God!

“His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Matthew 3:12

The word from God today is the winnowing fork. In a dream last night I saw how we must separate from the darkness of the world.

As a Christ follower, we are a vessel of God filled with His renown, praise and glory.

We live in a polluted world and must not allow the darkness to creep into our lives.

The only way you and I can survive living in the world is through the Holy Spirit who searches our hearts.

The Word of God is alive and powerful. It is like a sharp two edged sword piercing the heart and soul and discerning your thoughts and intentions.

Give the Holy Spirit authority to search you and correct your ways. Reach out to Jesus with an open heart to help you navigate through the world keeping you in perfect balance with God.

You cannot avoid the darkness so it is a matter of seeking the precision of God in your thoughts and decision making.

God will not isolate you from the darkness. He works in the darkness to save souls. You will get your hands dirty walking with God.

You and I have to operate with the purity, wisdom and knowledge of God in doing His work. This will allow you to be a powerful light for God without becoming contaminated with the pollution.

Your reality as a sinner who struggles with the righteousness of God will draw people to Jesus.

I see everything and know you better than you know yourself. Come to Me and I will be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your pathway.

The properties of Christ:

The properties of Christ!

The privileges of your citizenship in Christ!

“But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives.” Philippians 3:20

Your decision to live for Jesus changes your citizenship from the world to Heaven.

You now belong to God and have a new birthright.

You live in the world but you are not of the world. You have a heavenly calling over your life.

The gift of God is eternal life. Your citizenship begins with your decision for Christ and is an everlasting covenant. You live under no time line with God.

Your journey to heaven starts with your baptism into Christ with the Water and the Spirit. The Water cleanses you from sin and the Spirit creates new life. You become a new creature in Christ Jesus.

This miracle takes place through the work of the Holy Spirit.

God seals you with the life of Jesus in the essence of the Holy Spirit. He is your connection to Heaven and the source to the resurrected life of Christ.

You are entitled to all the promises of Christ. They will come to you by unyielding faith in Christ. You live by faith not by what you see with your eyes.

Your foundation is Jesus Christ. You worship Him in Spirit and Truth. You abide in Jesus through prayer, living in His Word and listening for His voice.

Jesus wants you to be relentless in seeking His will for your life. The will of God is not so much about making radical changes in your lifestyle but learning to live with the values of Christ.

Walking with Jesus is living in oneness with Him through the Holy Spirit.

For in Him we live and move and have our being!

There are no guarantees in the world but your citizenship in Heaven assures you that all the promises of God in Christ are yes and amen!
I keep My Word!

The downfall of Christianity and the upside of Jesus!

“The letter (referring to the law) kills but the Spirit gives life” 2 Corinthians 3:6

Christianity does not appeal to the needs of most people for many reasons. Most people want a vibrant life not a distant storybook God.

Christianity leads you into a mistaken identity. God wants you to identify with the Living Jesus and not with an institution of laws and religious preferences.

Religion wants to control you and God wants to set you free. The purposes of Christianity are to draw you into laws, works and religion. Religion brings death but the Spirit creates life.

God reminded me last night that Christianity is like a cult with a series of do’s and don’ts. It turns people off.

Christianity projects a sacrilegious attitude and a lifestyle of hypocrisy. Is there really any tangible difference between a believer and a non believer?

Jesus wants to live with you in a symbiotic relationship. He is the reality of God and has power and dominion over the heavens and earth.

The Living Christ desires to fulfill your needs and give you an abundant life that you can never achieve on your own.

You meet the Living Christ by taking a step of faith believing in His promises. He wants to be an active and embracing part of your life.

The Living Christ promises you the gift of salvation. You can live with God every day of your life here on earth and in Heaven.

God seals you with the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Christ. This allows you to hear His voice and draw upon all His attributes.

Jesus is the source of strength, wisdom, joy and protection. These characteristics come from Heaven and cannot be found on earth.

Jesus wants you to worship Him in Spirit and Truth. You do this by walking with Him anchored to the Holy Spirit and living in His Word.

Jesus wants you to be committed to Him above all else. He wants you to respond with obedience to His voice.

You interact with Jesus through prayer seeking out His will and asking for His help with all the challenges in your life.

Jesus wants to keep you away from evil intentions so it is important you are totally open to His correction. Remember, He is omniscient and knows you better than you know yourself.

Jesus desires to enhance every detail of you life including your marriage, family and friends, your work and the quality of your life.

Jesus wants to be alive in your thoughts and decision making.

Jesus is the difference maker between life and death.

The reality of Jesus is awesome. He wants to share His life with you and transform you into a new creature filled with the life of Christ. He is the real deal and there is no one like Him.

He’s waiting for you to open the door and invite Him to enter!

You will never find satisfaction in the world. Come to Me and I will give you a supernatural life and fill you with Living Water. My ways are perfect!

The sanctimonious thread in Christianity!

”There is no one righteous, not even one” Romans 3:10

The word from God today is sanctimonious referring to those who believe they are morally superior to others. This characteristic is pervasive in Christianity particularly with the leaders.

God spoke to me about this last night and explained the sanctimonious believer is masquerading pretending to be someone he is are not. In the eyes of God you are not any better than the worse sinner in the world.

The spiritually mature believer knows he or she was born with a rebellious disposition against God and a desire to live for self.

The Bible explains you were “sold into the slavery of sin” and this condition will never leave you fleshly body.

All have sinned and fall short of God and the only way you can stand blameless before God is with the blood of Christ covering you.

Jesus came to save the dregs of society and those mired in darkness. He has no interest in the self righteous who believe they are well and have no need for a doctor.

If you have any inkling of self righteousness you are not living in the reality of Jesus.

The fraud of Christianity is the belief you can live up to the standards of Jesus. You will fail Him sometime today.

The only way you can live a life pleasing to God is through the blood of Christ and the resurrected power of the Holy Spirit. He lives in you and is your safety net. He will always glorify God and lead you into the pathway of the risen Christ.
