How to approach the Living Christ?

“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and Truth.” John 4:24

The word from God today is visceral which relates to your inner being rather than intellect. It is a sense of trusting your instincts.

I am a Living God and desire to give you a life you can never achieve on your own. Come live with Me by faith and make the Holy Spirit your best friend and confidant. He speaks for Me!

Jesus reminds us that God is a Spirit and we must worship Him in Spirit and Truth. As a believer, the Holy Spirit lives in you. He is the life of Christ and your link to the reality of God.

You will never be able to understand God through an intellectual approach. Jesus explained this truth to the religious leaders during His ministry. He told them you search the scriptures looking for eternal life but they testify of Me.

As a believer you worship God in Spirit by listening to the voice of God and responding with obedience.

Develop a discipline of opening yourself up to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to search your heart and reveal anything in your life not pleasing to God. Your moral compass lives in the Holy Spirit. He will show you how to walk with God and appropriate the values of Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is the source of all the attributes of Jesus. He is strength, wisdom, joy and protection. Pray to Jesus to fill you with the fullness of His life and seek His help to meet all the challenges of your life.

The Word of God is alive and powerful to those who ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate the truths of God into a system of living.

The Holy Spirit desires to be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your pathway. Ask and you shall receive!

Jesus lives in you!

Becoming a vicarious Christ follower!

“For in Him we live and move and have our being” Acts 17:28

The definition of vicarious is living as if through someone else or acting for someone else. In the spiritual context, you live and move and have your being through the life of Christ.

God is alive. He has a personality and range of emotions just like you. It is possible to interact with God and have an embracing and vibrant relationship.

The only thing blocking you from the fullness of the transcendent nature of God is sin. This is why you and I must continually confess our sins and ask for the blood of Christ to cover us.

This issue is more complex because you can’t see the depth of your sin. And, God is constantly at work to sanctify your inner nature. This causes pain and suffering and at times clouds your relationship with God. Your self nature has to be diminished to become a powerful witness for Jesus. This takes a lot of time and the discipline of God.

The vicarious believer has an open heart to God and a genuine desire to seek His will. He stumbles often and fails God many times. But He always returns to His Creator seeking repentance and restoration to God.

The pathway to vicarious living is vigilant prayer, repentance, and obedience to the voice of God. You walk by faith yielding to the Holy Spirit.

You have to accept God for who He is and not question or complain about the circumstances in your life. This is very difficult to do because we do not think or act like God. We are self driven people but God has no ego. God has one purpose in your life; He wants to make you Christ like.

God is perfect but you cannot see or understand the extent of what He is doing in your life. The adversities of life come from God and are designed to strengthen your faith and teach you the qualities of God.

Keep it simple today! Commit your works to God and ask for His thoughts to be established within you. Invite the Holy Spirit to have authority to operate in your life. You will be a vicarious believer filled with the life of Christ!

Jesus loves you!

Interacting with the Living Christ!

“That they may be one, even as we are one” John 17:22

Today God will see everything you do and hear all your thoughts and words. And, God knows you better than you know yourself. He is aware of all your strengths and weaknesses. He is also omniscient and knows every detail of your future.

Jesus is ubiquitous which means He is present everywhere. You can’t see the totality of the nature of God but He will be near you at all times.

Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God!

You cannot interact with God in the morning and then forget about Him during the rest of the day and expect to be close to God. Jesus desires to have a consciousness with you at all times. He wants to be a part of your entire life including all the ordinary moments of your day. There are no timeouts with God!

God teaches you His values during the course of your day. How you relate with others, make decisions, and the words you speak are a learning process that takes place each day. This is how you develop a personal and embracing relationship with God.

Walking with God is not about your efforts; it is the discipline of living in oneness with your Creator. This is difficult and painful at times as God is always looking at your motives and actions.

You have the mind of Christ but if you want to consistently hear the voice of God you have to be living under the authority of the Holy Spirit. He lives in you and is your direct link to all the attributes of God. He speaks for Jesus and will always bring glory to God.

You and I have to walk by faith believing in the promises of God. You will please God by your steadfast faith never by works. Faith is seeking God out for your every need and believing He calls things that don’t exist as if they did. We grieve the Spirit of Christ when we complain about our circumstances and blame God for His lack of support.

The principle of walking with God is governed by your relationship to the Holy Spirit. It is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of Christ. He dwells in you!

What attracts people to Jesus is that He can do for you what you can never do for yourself!

The authenticity of Christ saves lives!

The sanctifying work of God in a believer!

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:30-31

The “holier than thou” attitude is pervasive in the Body of Christ and it grieves the heart of God.

The sanctifying work of God is not for you; it is to bring glory to God. As a believer, God desires to sanctify you with His life. You cannot take ownership for something that does not belong to you.

Sanctification comes to those who give God the freedom to do as He pleases with your inner being. The attitude of a believer should be a deep felt humility recognizing your depravity and sinful inner nature. There is no room for spiritual pride in a follower of Christ.

The holiness of God comes through continual repentance and prayer. You see yourself through the eyes of God and understand you can never match up to the standards of God and are always just a second away from falling into sin. You learn to live with God anchored to the Holy Spirit because this is the only way you can be free from the bondage of sin.

Sanctification creates obedience to God and a desire to live in oneness with your Creator.

It is very difficult and painful at times to walk with God because He does not think or act like you. The modicum of success comes to those who walk by faith and live in oneness with God yielding to the Holy Spirit.

Pray diligently with a thankful attitude always giving praise to God.

The evolution of a Christ follower!

The key to success with God is living in a personal and embracing relationship with Christ Jesus. You have to be in contact with the Living Christ through the Holy Spirit and hear His voice.

Forget about trying to do things for God through your individual efforts. God doesn’t want your efforts; He wants your steadfast devotion to Him above all else.

God sent one angel to kill 185,000 Assyrian soldiers who were threatening Israel. He is your security and protection living in an evil world.

This happens through prayer and a sincere desire to seek the will of God.

Walking with God is not about keeping laws or doing works. It is living by faith and seeking God out for your every need.

You cannot circumvent the importance of faith; it is the cornerstone to living with Jesus. Without faith you cannot please God or dwell in the splendor and majesty of the kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus wants your obedience to His voice without questioning His motives or complaining about your circumstances.

Jesus wants you to be dependent on Him for your every need. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

You will meet the Living Christ when you commit your works each day to Him and give the Holy Spirit authority over your life.

It is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of Christ. He lives in you and wants to give you the strength and wisdom to overcome every challenge in your life.

This is the attraction to Jesus; He can do for you what you can never do for yourself.

Jesus has power and dominion over the Heavens and Earth. Nothing is impossible for Him!

The embryonic nature of a Christ follower!

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it” Matthew 7:13-14

Salvation begins with making a decision for Jesus however many believers live in a rudimentary stage and fail to realize the potential of a Christ follower.

Come live with Me by faith and worship the Son of God in Spirit and Truth. There is no one like Me and I desire to be your Heavenly Father and best friend. I am a trustworthy God!

This happens for several reasons:

You have not made a serious commitment to live for Jesus and straddle the line between abandonment to God and worldly living.

Many believers make a decision for Jesus but attempt to appease Him through works and keeping laws. They find their comfort zone in religion not the Living Christ.

The cornerstone to a relationship with Jesus is built on faith which is a lifestyle of believing in the promises of God to meet your every need. It is a discipline of seeking your nourishment for life from the Living Water.

The only way you can walk in oneness with Jesus is by yielding to the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Christ and your link to all the attributes of God. He is the source of strength, wisdom and protection and gives you the ability to walk in the footsteps of Jesus.

As a believer you gain spiritual maturity by your unyielding faith in God. Your faith has nothing to do with the circumstances in your life. You walk by faith without complaining in difficult times and learn to be obedient to the voice of God.

God speaks to believers through the life of Christ dwelling within you. So you have to listen for the voice of God and be submissive to His instructions. There is no debate when God speaks; you respond with obedience.

If you want a close relationship with Jesus you must pray frequently and meditate on His Word.

God desires for you to seek out His will for your life. The starting point is to commit your works each day to God and pray for His thoughts to be established in your mind. This pleases God because you are not relying on self sufficiency but desiring to walk with God. This biblical principle coupled with giving the Holy Spirit authority over you life will draw you into an embracing and vibrant relationship with the Living Christ.

Jesus has power and dominion over the heavens and earth and you can have a symbiotic relationship with Him beginning today!

Your emblematic walk with Christ!

The word from God today is emblematic which means symbolic. Sometimes it is very difficult to figure out what God is doing in your life.

As a believer your walk with Jesus will be symbolic of His life. You will identify with the death and resurrection of Christ.

Your life will also reflect the sign of the times. We are living under the judgments of God and this will impact your life.

This week I was taken to Heaven in a deep sleep for a couple of hours. Everything was perfect and there was never any worry or concern. I woke up and the Heavenly anointing was still with me but left soon and I had to again face all the adversities in my life and the severe testing.

Your relationship with Jesus is built on many factors beginning with the depth of your commitment to Him and willingness to suffer for His sake. There is also the issue of your spiritual maturity and the purpose of God for your life.

The commonality in your walk with Jesus is you have been crucified with Him and the life you now live is for His purposes.

You and I have to walk by faith trusting in the promises of God. There will be suffering and pain at times. God is perfect although it is impossible to clearly see His purposes living in the depravity of the world.

Prayer and intercession are the characteristics of followers of Christ. And, you live on a roller coaster ride where at times nothing seems to make sense.

The biblical principle of ministry is best described in these words; Bring counsel, execute judgment; make your shadow like the night in the middle of the day; hide the outcasts. Jesus has given you the keys to the kingdom of God and it is your responsibility to seek wisdom from the Holy Spirit concerning the priorities of your ministry.

Your ministry must originate with the Holy Spirit to have value to God. Wait on God to empower you and release you in His perfect timing.

It is difficult and painful to walk with God because He thinks and acts differently than humans. It takes time and training to live in oneness with God but it is well worth the effort.

Seek your help from God who has power and dominion over the heavens and earth.

Make a decision to live under the auspices of Jesus because there is no hope anywhere else.

My encouragement is to seek out Jesus with all your heart. He is above all things, through all things and in all things.

There is no one like Him!

The live stream of God!

Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,  but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:13-14

It is very possible to have a live stream coming directly from God and filling your inner being every day of your life. The live stream is the Living Water, the life of Christ.

The live stream originates in Heaven and is given to all who make a decision to live for Christ. The stream of Living Water is deposited into the Holy Spirit who dwells in all believers.

The live stream transforms you into a new creature in Christ. You think and act differently. You identify with the life of Jesus.

The live stream speaks to believers and shares all the attributes of Christ with you. The Living Water is the source of strength, wisdom, joy and protection.

The live stream teaches you the values of Christ and the importance of walking by faith.

This powerful flow coming from the throne of God is restricted by sin. You and I must continually confess our sins and ask for the blood of Christ to cover us. We must be open to the conviction of the Holy Spirit and the correction of God in our lives.

God is calling all believers to turn away from darkness and walk in the light of Christ.

You cannot do this on your own regardless of how hard you try. This is because you have an inner nature that wants to live for self and defy God. The good news is God has provided a method to be free from the bondage of sin.

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus lives in all believers in the essence of the Holy Spirit. This law will set you free from the law of sin and death.

it is just a matter of yielding to the Holy Spirit and rejecting the lusts of the flesh. Pray God will keep you anchored to the Holy Spirit and free from the temptations of the world.

Sin begins in your thought processes so pray your thoughts and words are pleasing to God.

Have an amazing day filled with the Living Water!

Jesus loves you!

The victory of Christ for the suffering people of God!

“For the day of the Lord upon all the nations is near; As you have done, it shall be done to you; Your reprisal shall return upon your own head.” Obidah 1:15

This story in the book of Obidah is taking place again today. It is very relevant for all believers.

I will do for you what you can never do for yourself!

The ancient kingdom of Edom was founded by Esau. The Edomites aroused the wrath of God over their actions. They would not allow the Israelites to pass through their country on their journey to the Promised Land.

During the Babylonian siege against Jerusalem the Edomites participated in the destruction of Israel and took away many of their possessions.

Obidah, a prophet of God, spoke out concerning the judgments of God against Edom.

He said “As you have done, it shall be done to you.” This act of retribution would eventually destroy Edom.

God promised to deliver the Israelites and they would live in the holiness of the kingdom of God.

God promised to return the possessions taken from them and the nation of Israel would be filled with the fire of God.

How does this story relate to the people of God today?

The judgments of God are over all nations.

We have defamed God and do not respect or fear Him. We have an insolent attitude and are an arrogant people.

The remnant people of Christ have been persecuted and suffered financial distress.

The promise from Christ is “Now I will arise. I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”

You can claim this promise today. Make a heartfelt decision to follow God above all else and seek out His wisdom for your life.

Ask Jesus to cover you with His blood and be open to the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

Walk by faith anchored to the Holy Spirit and God will give you strength, comfort you on every side and deliver you out of adversity.

God keeps His promises!

Identifying Jesus accurately!

“Who do you say I am?” Matthew 16:15

You cannot identify who Jesus is through your human attributes including intellectual reasoning. And, listening to a sermon or reading a book will not introduce you to the reality of the Living Christ.

If you try to find Jesus through the ways of religion you will be misled and have a false understanding about Jesus.

Jesus asked His disciples “Who do people say I am?”

I am the way the truth and the life!

There were many conjectures about who Jesus was among the people. Was Jesus a prophet?  Was He really sent to earth by God?

Peter declared “Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God”.

Jesus responded to Peter you are blessed by God  because this truth was revealed to you by the Spirit of God.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The revelation of Jesus comes to you by hearing the word of God delivered with the power of Holy Spirit. You hear and accept the truth in the depth of your heart.

The word of God is alive and powerful and pierces the essence of your inner being.

The Spirit of Christ will reveal the nature of Jesus and teach you His values. He lives in all believers and will lead you into all truth. He speaks on behalf of Jesus and will always bring glory to God.

The Holy Spirit will dispel the mystique about Jesus and you will know in the essence of your heart Jesus is the Son of God and has power and dominion over the heavens and earth. There is no one like Him!

Ask the Holy Spirit today to give you a revelation about Jesus and how He wants to operate in your life?

Then just be still with an open mind and you will hear the voice of the Living Christ!
