“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.” Daniel 6:10

Daniel’s enemies conspired against him and convinced the King to issue a decree that anyone who worshipped a God other than the King would be cast into a den of lions.
Daniel heard about this decree and the first thing he did was to go before God in prayer and thankfulness.
Daniel lived in a country filled with evil where the King and most of the natives worshipped false gods. The Lord was not magnified or worshipped as the sovereign God of the universe.
God used this dire situation to bring glory to His name by saving Daniel from the lions. He wants to be exalted above all things and for all people to fear and respect Him. God demonstrated His omnipotence and this caused the King and all the natives to bow down before almighty God.
The United States is very similar to Babylonia. You live in a country filled with evil and the worship of false gods.
The government leaders are attempting to remove God and His truths from our society. Organized religion has whitewashed the truths of God and lead people astray.
The truth in this story is when you see a storm coming into your life turn immediately to God. This is a strong expression of your faith in God and belief that He has power and dominion over all things in heaven and earth.
Do not compromise your faith but stand firm on the promises of God through prayer and giving thanks to almighty God. He will deliver you and magnify His name in your life!
Good morning, I especially love this blog today. The phrase about organized religion, and the whitewashing of the truth of God and leading people astray; especially hit home with me. I find that the churches (for me), are not really preaching the true Word of God, but have become nothing more, then trying to appease everybody, and have dropped their standards of teaching the Word, and are not talking about sin, and God’s promises, but just want money and to be a mega church to make themselves look good. God bless you today, Sue
