Acquiring money by the standards of Jesus!

“Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, but he who gathers by labor will increase.” Proverbs 13:11

I have discovered that Jesus wants to help me earn money and have a quality lifestyle. He desires to give me more than I ask or think.

The starting point is to zealously seek the will of God for my life. This will keep me balanced and grounded in Jesus.

Jesus said seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the other things of life will be added. This relates strongly to the priorities of making money.

The secret to making money is to operate with integrity and pure motives.

Many believers will cut corners and make decisions about money with dishonest or misleading intentions.

The problem is allowing the desires of the flesh and worldly values to govern how you deal with money.

The lust for money brings death and what you have will be taken away. Think about the man planning to build a larger barn to store his crops. His destiny did not work out as he planned.

The discipline of earning money must be submitted to the authority of the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Jesus and alive in all believers. He will keep your motives pure and convict you of attitudes or actions that are not consistent with the precepts of Jesus.

The spiritual principles about earning money can be learned through prayer, reading the Bible and listening to the voice of Jesus.

Do not associate with unbelievers who live by worldly standards or shark type characters seeking money at any cost.  They will bring you down.

Jesus is a rewarder of the man who diligently seeks His will!

Please reach out to me with any questions about this subject or if you need prayer. I will respond quickly. God wants to give you an abundant and rich life!

Praying to Jesus for His wisdom and power!

“Holy be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.” Luke 11:2-5

Prayer is my lifeline to God. I would never start a day without seeking the counsel of Jesus. Prayer keeps me grounded in God and helps me make good decisions with pure motives. I would sink into a deep chasm without the divine presence of Jesus.

Prayer is a dialogue with Jesus which has no beginning or ending.

Prayer is speaking and listening to Jesus. We approach Jesus with praise, respect and honor. We are transparent with Jesus and hide nothing.

Prayer should be anchored in scripture confirming the words of God.

Prayer should praise Jesus in our words and songs.

Prayer should ask Jesus to deliver a believer citing His promises and prophesies.

Prayer is a time to confess our sins, repent with a genuine heart, and ask Jesus to cover us with His blood.

Prayer is asking Jesus to convict us of anything we are thinking or doing that grieves the Holy Spirit.

Prayer is expressing thankfulness to Jesus for all the good things happening in our life.

Prayer is reaching out to Jesus and seeking His good, acceptable and perfect will for our life.

Prayer is committing our works each day to Jesus and asking for His omniscient wisdom.

Prayer is giving the Holy Spirit authority over our life and walking in oneness with Him.

Prayer is responding in obedience to the instructions of Jesus regardless of the personal cost or lack of logic.

Prayer is having a big picture of the world and praying for world leaders, the wars taking place, evil regimes and the calamities taking place around the world.

Prayer is asking God to supply our every need and trusting in His promises and not what we see with our eyes.

Prayer is asking for inner healing and forgiveness for those who have hurt us.

Prayer is asking Jesus for protection from the attacks of Satan and distancing from all forms of darkness.

Prayer is asking Jesus to remove our worries and replace with the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Prayer is asking for revival and the salvation of lost souls.

Prayer is making intercession for those living in bondage to sin and asking for the Most High to set them free.

Prayer is asking God to anoint you with the Holy Spirit and equip you to be a powerful witness for Him.

You are welcome to share your experiences with me concerning prayer or ask for prayer. Thank you for your trust in my teaching.

Getting the attention of Jesus!

“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.” Psalm 34:15

I have found out you get the attention of Jesus by loving and submitting to Him. He knows I am far from perfect but I will do anything He asks of me!

The subject today is what causes Jesus to favor a believer with His presence and power?

This starts with examining your decision for Jesus. If you have a mediocre relationship you will have a superficial faith and lack the presence and power of Jesus.

The decision for Jesus has to be an all consuming desire to live for Him.

Jesus gave it all for you and He wants you to give it all to Him.

This requires a believer to create a personal and embracing relationship with Jesus built on faith and obedience.

You can please Jesus by praying every day for His perfect will in your life.

We live in the righteous nature of Jesus by repentance and asking for His blood to cover our sins. The righteous man has an open heart to the conviction of the Holy Spirit and a willing heart to change.

The believer develops an endearing relationship with Jesus by prayer, reading the Bible and listening for the voice of God. He takes Jesus seriously.

The believer gets the attention of Jesus by his obedience to the instructions of the Most High. Like Abraham, the believer obeys God regardless of the personal cost or lack of logic. This stirs God’s heart.

Enter through the narrow gate and experience the reality of Jesus and the work of the Cross. This pathway is difficult as a believer must die to self and live for Jesus.

You won’t find Jesus in religion. He lives in the heart of a devoted and loyal Christ follower!

If you have questions or would like to contribute your thoughts please contact me. I am always here to pray for you.

Jesus is the choice; waking up to joy or misery!

“The joy of the Lord is my strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

How am I going to get through today? I have felt this emotion many times in my life. I am finally learning how to find joy even in tumultuous situations.

The important truth about the joy of the Lord is it does not relate or is dependent upon your circumstances. The joy comes from Jesus and can be attained by any believer.

The Israelites who returned to Jerusalem from captivity were grieving over their circumstances. The city was destroyed and enemies were all around them. They felt helpless.

Nehemiah was given a mission by God to restore Israel. He told the Israelites today is Holy and the joy of the Lord is your strength and protection. He asked Ezra, the scribe, to read from the Book of the Law of Moses.  The people listened and were uplifted with hope in God.

The spiritual truth is to wake up each day believing it is a Holy day ordained by God and the joy of the Lord is your strength.

This joy will come through prayer, reading the Word, and listening for the voice of God. Praise Jesus and thank Him for what He has given you.

The joy of the world is short lived and dependent on your circumstances. The joy of Jesus comes from Heaven and is without limits.

It is possible to be filled with joy every day of your life regardless of the challenges facing you.

Jesus knows from His personal experience in the world how difficult life can be. This is why He said My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Jesus takes away the fear and worry and replaces with His joy.

Jesus gives a believer strength and protection and removes the onerous burdens of the world.

Joy is an expression of the unconditional love of Jesus and His promises for believers.

The joy comes because no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I belong to Jesus!

I didn’t sign up to suffer for Christ!

“For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him.” Philippians 1:29

The Holy Spirit told me last night the gift of Jesus is free but the cost is severe.

There is a personal cost to a believer to acquire Jesus. The journey is filled with suffering.

Christianity tends to focus on the benefits of Jesus and minimizes the suffering. This is because suffering is a red flag and would discourage many unbelievers.

The decision for Jesus is a powerful transformation into a new creature in Christ. The believer inherits all the promises of Jesus and receives the gift of salvation. He lives with Jesus forever.

God created a pathway of suffering for His Son Jesus. Jesus set the pathway for a believer by dying on the Cross.

Suffering has two spiritual purposes for a believer.

The transformation into a new creature in Christ is painful and creates suffering.

We have to die to self and live for Jesus. This decision means our life belongs to Jesus and the priority is to seek the perfect will of God.

We were born with an inner nature to live for self and defy God. This has to be broken in every believer and is a painful and suffering experience.

We have to give up our independence and personal goals.

We have to sever our ties to the world and live by faith trusting in Jesus for our every need.

Secondly, the decision for Jesus will bring many troubles and adversity for a believer.

Jesus engineers troubles to strengthen our faith, teach us patience and refine us into His character.

Suffering causes believers to identify closely with Jesus and become powerful witnesses for the Most High!

Believing is seeing the Living Christ!

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

The Holy Spirit spoke the words “Believing is seeing” to me last night in explaining faith comes by having an encounter with the Living Christ.

The unbeliever today needs to see viable proof to make a decision for Jesus. The unbeliever is blinded to God and this can only be changed by seeing the divine and majestic power of Jesus.

The unbeliever has to reach out to Jesus with an open heart and very few will take this step.

We live in the abysmal age of the End Times. Satan is very powerful in denigrating Jesus and convincing human beings there is no God.

Christianity is not relevant to most unbelievers. They see hypocrisy and religion. The leaders want to exert control with laws and regulations. Jesus sets people free.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. The unbeliever must be open to hear and accept the Word of God which is alive and powerful. This is where Satan has blocked many unbelievers from hearing which is the starting point to a relationship with Jesus.

The younger generation is attracted to body ink and living without any barriers. They find temporary contentment in compulsive behaviors, sexual immorality and substance abuse.

Seeing Jesus causes a human to repent from sin and seek the gift of salvation.

Jesus does not think or act like a human. He is a God of unconditional love and has no ego. He is perfect and without blemish.

Anyone can meet the Living Christ. Jesus does not hide in Heaven. He is very accessible. However, He will not violate your privacy. The perfect way to encounter Jesus is to ask Him to show you who He is. This will blow your mind and your life will never be the same.

This is how Isaiah responded to meeting the reality of almighty God. He said “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!”

Believing is seeing!

Jesus is always working miles ahead of a believer!

“For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by”. Psalm 90:4

Jesus does not function on our time standard. Time is not significant to Him. He can go forward or backwards in time. He is omniscient and knows every detail of your life from birth to your end on the earth.

He knows the winner of the March Madness tournament in college basketball and can look at the final game today if He desires.

The spiritual challenge is understanding how He works in a believer’s life.

Jesus is always working way ahead of a believer. He is planning your journey, protecting you from evil, and transforming you into His character.

What Jesus is doing today will have a powerful impact on your future.

Jesus introduces troubles and adversity for the purpose of transforming a believer into His character. He works to correct compulsive behaviors and living for the desires of the flesh. He is a refining God and uses time to accomplish His objectives.

The gift of salvation has nothing to do with time. It is becoming a new creature in Christ and learning to live in a personal and embracing relationship with Him.

Jesus is always on time but it may not be on your schedule. We have to walk with unshakable faith, learn to be patient and wait upon His perfect timing.

Choosing between Jesus and the thief!

“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

John 10:9-10

We all have to make a decision either for Jesus or face destruction by the thief. Some just opt for worldly living not realizing they are they are on a path to darkness and death.

Jesus proclaims He is the door and anyone who enters by Him will have eternal life and find good pasture (necessities of life).

The world is controlled by Satan and can make no promises to a human being. The worldly follower is skating on thin ice and will eventually crash.

Satan and His army of demons are attempting to disparage Jesus and destroy His people.

We live in the End Times and there will never be normalcy or order again. Family values and moral ethics have mostly disappeared. Evil actions are happening all over the world.

The challenges coming will be very difficult and many will not survive.

There is only one way to secure limitless strength, joy, and protection in the days ahead. Jesus is the answer.

Choosing Jesus is not about religion or regulations. Jesus wants to set a believer free and religion wants to control a believer by immersing him into church activities.

The decision for Jesus is to develop a personal and intimate relationship with the Most High built on faith and obedience to His voice.

The Living Christ consistently speaks to a believer and is very present in his life.  This happens through the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Jesus and sealed in all believers.

Jesus knows you better than you know yourself and is personally invested in all your endeavors.

The gift of salvation allows a believer to live forever with Jesus and is grounded in prayer, reading the Bible and listening for His voice. And, you will discover the reality of Jesus and be enveloped in the greatness and grandeur of His kingdom.

The priority is to seek the perfect will of Jesus for your life. The Holy Spirit will keep you on track with His divine presence.

The choice for success and victory is Jesus. He will never disappoint a believer!

The calling of Jesus; luke warm or fully accepted!

This is what I woke up to see today. The beauty of the Lord is breathtaking!

“Walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.” Ephesians 4:1

The calling of Jesus is to take Him seriously and vigilantly seek His will for your life. Jesus wants all of a believer and will not share His life with false gods or idols.

The calling of Jesus is the unconditional love of the Most High to give a human being a new life with Jesus lasting forever. It can never be earned or deserved.

The calling of Jesus is a decision to accept the gift of salvation. This gift is not about time; it is the beginning of a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus.

Walk worthy in this calling by seeking the will of God for your life through prayer, reading the Bible and listening for the voice of Jesus.

The calling is to develop a personal and embracing relationship with Jesus built on faith and obedience.

Walking with Jesus is not about religion or regulations. It is living in oneness with Jesus anchored to the Holy Spirit.

The believer must get to know Jesus personally, hear His voice and learn His values.

The calling is to become a new creature in Christ. The believer must be willing to die to self and live for Jesus.

Most believers are unwilling to let go completely and will never experience the reality and greatness of Jesus. They cannot break away from compulsive behaviors and the ties to the world.

The calling is to confess our sins, seek repentance and ask to be forgiven and purified by the blood of Jesus.

Your natural life at birth is of no value to Jesus. He wants to relate to a new creature in Christ who is loyal and dedicated to Him.

The calling is a process of becoming transformed into the personality and character of Jesus. This can be very difficult and painful at times because the believer must give up his rights and independence.

The calling of Jesus is a command to live under the authority of the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Christ and is sealed in all believers.

This will introduce a believer to the reality of the Living Christ and Jesus will be very powerful and present in all the moments of life.

Jesus is worth giving up your life for His greatness!

Seeking the perfect wisdom of Jesus or making flawed human decisions!

“There is a way that seems right to a man but its end is the way of death.” Proverbs 14:12

This narrative is a discussion of how to make good decisions and avoid damaging consequences.

The biggest mistake people make is trusting their inner nature in decision making. It’s like if it feels good do it.

Every human being is born with a human nature to live for self and defy God. The natural man cannot look into the depth of his personality to see the compulsive behaviors, immorality and evil intentions. God sees everything and knows a man better than he knows himself.

The defining characteristic in decision making is to seek the counsel of Jesus or face disaster.

Jesus is omniscient which means He knows every detail of your life from birth to the end. Nothing is hidden from Him.

How can a human being reject the priceless wisdom and protection of Jesus?

Jesus desires to give a believer an eternal life filled with His goodness and the world offers destruction and eventual death.

The method to making godly decisions is to pray, read the Bible and listen for the voice of God.

The safety net is the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Jesus and sealed in all believers. Invite the Holy Spirit to have authority over your life. Listen and follow His instructions. He speaks for Jesus!

The perfect advice to walk with Jesus!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

If you have questions or need prayer please reach out to me and I will respond promptly. I have learned over many years to make decisions with the wisdom of Jesus or suffer terribly.
